Ryan laughed. "Hey, Tor," he said, leaning against a rock. "Nothing much. What's up with you?" he asked, grinning. He looked up at the cloudy-ish sky, and back at her.

Jasper smiled, recognizing the look in her face. "Is it important?" he whispered, looking at Edward momentarily.

Edward scowled as he paced back in forth in front of his family, his marble hands clenched into tight fists. His topaz eyes were hard, not liquid like they were while he was in a good mood. He heard Jasper's thoughts, and of course, he heard Emmett's comment. "No, I can't," he answered both of them, "I left her. Again! Now, Bella's gone, to God know's where. Not to mention, if I show up at Charlie's, to ask him where she is, there's a good chance he'll try to murder me." He chuckled darkly at the thought.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'm a idiot, Edward thought to himself as he stoped pacing, and sank to the floor, putting his head in his stone hands and sighing. His head snapped up as Alice came downstairs. "What did you see?" he demanded instantly, not having to hear her thoughts to know that she had just had a vision. The look on her face was enough.

Chloe jogged down the lake, scanning the small croud of students coming out for anyone she knew. Seeing Tori and Ryan, she jogged over to the two and grinned. "Hey you two," she said when she reached them. "What's up?" she paused, "I'm not, like, interupting anything, am I?" she asked, raising a dark eyebrow.

Rosalie sighed as she made her way down the staircase of the Cullen house to take a seat next to Emmett. One look at Edward was enough to tell her he hadn't given up this mood he'd been in after finding out Bella wasn't there. Rolling her eyes, she looked at Emmett briefly before looking back at Edward, running a hand through her blonde hair.

'Edward, she's gone. If she wanted you to know where, surely she'd have left you a message or . . . something. She loves you too much to leave you without anything, right?' She leant back against the settee, crossing her pale arms over her chest.


Hermione wandered down to the lake, book in hand. She could see a few students she recognised as Ryan, Chloe and a Slytherin friend of theirs she thought was named Tori, but payed them little attention as she took a seat on the grass, opening the book to a random page as she waited for Ron, Harry or Ginny to come out, if they did.

Pierce yawned lightly as she walked out into the bright light of the outdoors. She had been sitting way too long and her back was feeling a little sore. The brunette absolutely loved the lake and simply wanted to lay in the soft grass and relax. She wondered to a very happy looking spot and lay on her back in the long grass, she loved how the sun lightly warmed her skin.

Brushing her fiery red hair out of her face, she took another glance into the mirror. Man, was she having a bad hair day today. Sighing, she took a bobby pin and pinned her bangs out of her eyes. Leaving the girls dormitory, she took a quick glance around the common room, looking for Hermione.

Entering the Great Hall, Ginny poked her head to see if that brunette friend of hers was eating at the Gryffindor table. Not seeing her Ginny gave up and decided to take a walk around the grounds. Maybe she was in the library, doing homework? Making a face, she walked outside, noticing a small group of people she barely knew. Looking around, observing her surroundings, she laughed. Hermione was right there, reading as usual. "Hey Hermione!" Ginny said loudly, hoping to get her attention and made her way to her friend.

"Hey, guys," Ryan smiled, raising a hand briefly. "No, you were not interrupting anything," he said to Chloe, his cheeks going a little pink. "Far from it. Hey, have you seen Harry or the others?" he asked. He was wondering about the girl they had been with. She seemed like she was harboring a secret...and it intrigued him.

Jasper looked at his 'family'. He closed his golden eyes, wanting to calm the atmosphere. He sighed, opening them once more and looked at his 'brothers' and sister, waiting on Alice's response.

Emmett sat on the other side of Jasper, smiling lightly at Rosalie as she entered and balencing a football in his hand. He knew Bella had left something-the girl had too, as much as she loved him-and really there wasn't need for fussing, but Edward was being Edward and...yeah.

Bella was new to the school, but she found it interesting. She walked out to the lake and sat down. She pulled her favorite book, Wuthering Heights, out and began to read it. The wind was blowing slightly. She pushed her hair behind her ear, her Gryffindor robes fluttering a little bit in the breeze.

"Speak of the devil," Ryan whispered, waving at the Bella girl that just came out. "Hey, don't be so lonely!" he yelled at her with a comforting grin.

Bella wasn't the type to really talk to strangers, but she didn't want to be rude. She got up and walked over to the group of people.
"Hi," she said, sticking her hand out. "I'm Bella Swan."

Seeing as it was a nice day out, Harry decided to head outside. As he glanced out of the window in the boy's dormitory, it seemed that almost the whole school was thinking like him today. He sighed to himself, "It's nice to be thinking like the rest of the population for a change."

On his way out of the castle, Harry checked the common room and the Great Hall for a sign of any of his usual posse members: Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. He didn't spot a sign of any of them.

Once he got close enough to make out individual people by the lake, he instantly recognized Ginny's fiery red head of hair, alongside Hermione's brown bushier one. He couldn't surpress a smile at seeing two of his favorite people. "Hey, Ginny!" he called out to her as he got closer to them. Low and behold: Hermione was reading a book! Even after all these years, Harry couldn't hold back a small chuckle at the sight of Hermione and her favorite companion. He greeted her, too, and said, "So what's on today's reading list? Hogwarts, A History?"

"Hello," Ryan smiled at her. He looked at her hand for a second, quickly taking it and pulling away before she could notice he was extra hot...literally. "I'm Ryan Lucas, and this is my posse," he grinned, nodding to the others and chuckling. "I've noticed you hanging around the Potter's gang," he said. "You seem...lonely and all. You can hang out with us, if you like. But Potter is over there, if you want to go," he smiled warmly.

"Hey, there you guys are!" Harry called over his shoulder as he spotted some friends, and turned around to a group of people standing close to where he was. The group was made up of Ryan, Chloe, Tori, and Bella. He smiled and greeted each of them in turn. "Have any plans for today?" he asked.

Hermione looked up from the book at the sound of Ginny's voice and smiled at her. 'Hey, Ginny!' she replied, shaking her hair away from her face. She moved so she was kneeling and could see and speak to Ginny better, keeping her book open on her lap.

Hermione scowled at Harry and his comment about her reading, slamming her book shut, shaking her head. 'As a matter of fact, no. I was reading up on Herbology,' she replied shortly, before Harry turned to the others. She smiled at Bella and and put the book down beside her.

'Hi, guys,' she greeted them.

Bella wondered why Ryan was being a little...odd, but she just let it go. She heard Harry's voice, followed by Hermione's.

"Hi Harry, Hermione," Bella replied. "What's up?"

"Sorry, sorry," Harry replied to Hermione, not laughing this time. "After gillyweed practically saved my life back in - wow, was it really just three years ago? - fourth year, I almost like Herbology." He sighed. "Anything you want to do today? I was thinking about maybe just doing some flying if nobody else was up for anything, but I'd be happy to do something with the group. I wonder where Ron is..."

"Oh, not much, not much. Relaxing, I guess," Harry told Bella, smiling. His hand absentmindedly went to his hair, which was as black and messy as usual. "So how are you liking it here so far?" Harry asked, as his eyes stopped at the book in her lap. "What's that? It doesn't look like a text book."

Hearing the sound of Harry's voice, she grinned to herself. Turning around, she went and hugged Harry and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey." She greeted. "I know, Hermione's reading again." She said rolling her eyes and teasing her best friend. "That's how many times you've read that book now Hermione?" She asked, not understanding how you could read a textbook more than one required time.

Hearing Hermione's greeting to the group of people, Ginny turned to face them. "Hi." She greeted. "I'm Ginny Weasley." She introduced, not really knowing who these people were but they seemed like a good sort.

Bella looked down to see she still had Wuthering Heights with her. "Oh, this," she said. "It's my favorite book. It's a muggle book. It's called Wuthering Heights. I love it."
Bella pushed her hair back out of her face again. She looked at Harry, smiling a little to him.

'About ten,' Hermione admitted, sheepishly. 'But it's actually incredibly interesting if you were to read it, Gin. Then again, you might not understand it all, what with it being beyond NEWT level.' She laughed softly, before turning to Bella and the others.

'Wuthering Heights?' Hermione asked, dropping her own book eagerly. She'd had a copy in the house before she started Hogwarts - before she'd even known about the magical world at all. 'Your favourite?'

She smiled and pushed part of her hair away. 'How come you are so attracted to it, Bella?' she asked, curious.

"I'm not sure," Bella replied, laughing slightly. "I guess I just like it..."

'Just one of those things that gets you enthralled for some reason you can't fathom?' Hermione asked, a second smile tugging at the corner of her lips. 'I know how you feel. But it's not Heathcliffe and Catherine's relationship that got you interested, is it?' Again, she was curious; that was what had got her interested when she was younger.

Bella smiled. "Again, I'm not sure. I just know I like it," she replied.

"Well hello to you too!" Harry said with a grin and a faint blush as Ginny hugged and kissed him.

"Ah, never heard of it," Harry commented, "even when I was growing up with the Dursleys - my Muggle aunt, uncle, and cousin who raised me 'cause my parents were murdered," Harry explained to Bella, incase she didn't know about them. "My pig-like cousin Dudley didn't read much, now, come to think of it, I wonder if he even knew how to read..." Harry trailed off. "So you're Muggle born then?" he casually asked Bella. "Not that there's anything wrong with that; Hermione here's Muggle born too," Harry hastily added, not wanting to give off the impression that he was against them.

"Yeah, I'm muggle born," Bella replied. "No one in my family even knows that wizards and witches exist...except maybe my dad does. I'm not sure. But I know my mom doesn't."

Harry was now starting to get puzzled. "Wait, so do your parents, does anyone, know where you are? What happened when you got your Hogwarts letter?"

Hermione looked at Harry. 'What is this, twenty questions?' she asked, sarcastically. 'I am curious, but I'm sure Bella's had enough questioning recently.' She smiled at Bella before glaring at Harry.
