"There seems to be an up and down side to everything." Riley said, though he knew some things were worse or better the others. But he was thinking to hard.
"Here, I found another room in the library a few days ago. Up there." he said, pointing up towards the ceiling.
Putting a foot on one of the book shelves, Riley pulled himself up quickly to the top of the shelf and stood. Luckily the ceiling was very high and had a lot of room to move around. Riley waited to see if Victoria was going to follow.

"A room, huh? What`s it like?" she asked as Riley scaled the bookself. It was an easy climb, especially for a vampire.
She grabbed a hold of the nearest bookself and pulled herself up. Victoria was on the top of the shelf in seconds. Simple.
Victoria looked up at the section of the ceiling that Riley had pointed at earlier. Her curiosity was piqued.

"It's nothing really." Riley said, grabbing a stone in the ceiling and pulling it down to reveal some stairs and an openning in the roof.
"It's a large room with a ton of old books, mostly muggle books. The ceiling of the room in the intersting part." The room had a glass dome as the roof, so that you could look over the lake outside.
"I figured it was used for astronomy at one point, but it doesn't seem to have been used in a while." Riley said, looking up into the room before scanning the library to see if anyone had followed them.
"I spend a lot of nights just wandering around. Finding places like these are the best part."

"Awesome," Victoria muttered as the steps revealed themselves. She gazed up into the room, her eyes bright. Riley was right, the ceiling was pretty fascinating. How had she not noticed this room before.
Victoria ascended the stairs lightly. The room had an amazing view. She picked up an aged looking book and blew the dust from its cover. "Alice in Wonderland. A classic," she said. Victoria remembered reading as a small child. Eying the book fondly, she put it down.
"I like it here," Victoria said, smiling.

Roux had been so glad when Dumbledore had appeared. He would know how to fix this. She smiled weakly but when she tried to open her mouth all that came out was a harsh cry. So she merely shook her head and followed Dumbledore back to the castle, keeping her bright green eyes on Odakota the whole way.

Once back in the castle Roux only wanted to sleep, but she worried about Odakota. But glancing at Dumbledore's face was enough to set her fears to rest. He would make sure Zee was okay. She mumbled a goodnight to the rest, barely looking at them, not able to se her pain reflected int heir faces.

She stumbled up to her bed and tumbled in without bothering to undress. She fell thankfully into a deep and dreamless sleep. In sleep she could forget, she could stop thinking, stop worrying. Half of her wished that tomorrow would never come...

Odakota awoke with a startled yelp. He had had the strangest dream. Skah had been going on a hunt with him but he had been running farther and farther away. Zee hadn't been able to catch up so he had kept on yelling for him to twait up But Skah hadn't listened. He had kept running until he slowly drifted away on the wind. He looked around for SK and jumped out of his bed, ripping the covers off of Skah's. But he already knew that SK would not be there. Fresh tears spilt down his cheeks and all he wanted was to be seven again and to crawl into his parents bed while they hugged him until he fell asleep. He suddenly felt like he had to see Roux, to make sure she wasn't gone too! He launched himself out of bed and almost fell down the stairs in his anxiousness to make sure she was okay. He was still shivering from his dream and tears were still running down his cheeks as he ran to the girl's stairs. Immediatley, the straightened into a slide and he tumbled over backwards. But would that stop him? No. Zee had to see her now. Zee had to make sure she was okay this very second. With two great leaps, he was up the stairs and he stealthily slipped into Roux's room, looking desperatley around for her. After a few seconds, he noticed extremly red hair and walked over there, noticing she was in deep sleep. He turned around to leave but at once his stomach gave a turn. He was starting to feel horribly alone again; nightmares ready to lunge at him. Finally, after trying to go downstairs but thoughts of Skah kept attacking him, he sat down on the foot of Roux's bed, not making a sound. Feeling the need to crawl into his parents bed and be comforted, he lay down beside her and placed an arm around her, resting his head on a pillow. Even in his mourning, he felt huge love towards this girl. After only a few seconds in her presence, he drifted softly to sleep and didn't awake, even when light flooded in the windows.

Roux stirred slightly in her sleep. She was feeling deliciously warm and comfortable. Mmmm. Surely that couldn't be right though...She shifted slightly. Mmm, it was like being cuddled, being comforted...like someone was holding her. Her green eyes flew open. Wait... she looked down, was that an arm? She turned around and was shocked to see Odakota, asleep and looking more peaceful than he had since... Oh. The previous day's events came flooding back to her. This was worse than Skah attacking Zee, worse than Jay and Zee's fight, worse than feeling bad over her own mistakes.

She could imagine why Zee needed comfort. She wondered how on earth he had made it up the slide. Still, no matter. She needed comfort too. Most of all, though, she was glad he was okay. She had been so worried last night. His pain was her pain. And his pain was beyond words. But now he was looking more at peace than his whimpering sleep of exhaustion yesterday. Oh how she loved him! She stroked his handsome face softly, not wanting to wake him, but unable to not touch him. She kissed his sleeping mouth softly. He was real, he was warm and alive and he was okay.

She sighed and slipped her arm around him, holding him close. She cuddled her head against his chest, burying her face in his warmth, his comforting scent. She rested her head against his heart so she could listen to it's steady comforting beat. It was almost light. But she ignored it. There was no need to get up today. Not for awhile anyway. Well, there may have been a need but she refused to answer it. Right now, the most important was to be here with Odakota. Sharing pain, sharing comfort, sharing love. Still holding Odakota tightly she drifted into a soft sleep...

Adriel continued to stare over at the wall from the couch she slept on, even as she saw Zee pass. She had only gotten about an hour of sleep that night and after the terrible dream she had, she was afraid to sleep again. That would cause her to have to think about what happened and she wouldn't do that. It had always been her way of coping with things. Acting like there is nothing big to talk about or think about. Like it's just a normal day. But it wasn't. She knew that without even thinking about Skah. She felt like she wanted to puke. Then she thought about Dumbledore. They had to go to his office that morining and tell what happened. How could she possibly do that?! She kept finding it harder and harder to not think about him. She had never suffered a loss like this one. The only thing even remotely as hard as this was the loss of Zee's dad, who she happened to know quite well. Oh and maybe when her grandfather died... I could think about him! But then as usual, Skah was there. Eating breakfast and trying to learn a game of poker with her and her grandfather. She sighed, angrily to herself. He is always there!!! She hated him for leaving her like this.

"There are all sorts of things in here." Riley said, sitting down on a stack of dictionaries.
"Reading isn't one of my big hobbies, but it's a nice place to get away from classes, places like these." said Riley, almost absentmindedly.
"Alice in Wonderland was a good book. The muggle's view of vampires in Dracula is entertaining, though muggles seem to think they're all bad."

"I ought to make a habit of coming in here more often," Victoia said, gazing out of the glass ceiling. She could see the sun making a feeble attempt at rising. Maybe they should be leaving? Not yet.
Victoria let out a small chuckle devoid of humor. "Humans think a lot of things are bad. Most of them aren`t," she said, rolling her eyes. "Well, not all humans," Victoria added as an afterthought.

Zee snuggled close to her, glad to be free of his worries. After a fairly long and restful sleep, he awoke and almost moved when he spotted Roux. What was going on? Where was he?! He looked around to see a deserted Girl’s Dormitory. They must have all left when they woke up without disturbing the two. He settled down, and stroked her cheek softly, as not to wake her up but wanting to feel her warm skin. How did he get here? It must have been last night… Oh yes, now he remembered. He noticed her arm around him and smiled softly, pulling the covers up over her a little more so she wouldn’t be cold and waited for her to awake. While she slept he let the sorrows hit him. Right now he didn’t have to be strong for anyone… Right now he could just be. Roux’s presence was helping him very much, though. SK… he was gone… But he still lived in his heart. He knew that. But how hard it was to accept... Tears would have spilled over if he had any left to cry. But Odakota was done crying for now, his read eyes showed that as he watched Roux like she was the earth itself. He made a fierce promise that he wouldn't let anything happen to her! He wouldn't let Roux die, ever. And if she ever did, like Adriel had said with Skah, he wanted to die first. He didn't want to go a second without her.

No he answered back simply as he continued to smell the air, but I'll hunt her down to which ever part of the world she is in. he reassured him if you want to go back to the castle go and I think it best help Zee out with the pack I'll hunt for Desdemona, this could take days. he informed him as he continued to run at remarkable speed.

Riley followed Victoria's gaze out of the glass roof.
"I'm glad you like it here." he said, getting up off the dictionaries. Riley was surprised to see the sun being to rise. They'd been out for a while.
No matter, I'll just sleep in History of Magic, he thought.
"I suppose a lot of humans fear things that are mostly harmless. It tends to come from a human not understanding something, and fearing it because of lack of understanding." Riley thought aloud. "Though there are some humans that aren't as quick to judge." he glanced sideways at Victoria.
"I hope I'm not too quick to judge." Riley said, not having to force a smile.

"You don`t. In fact, I wouldn`t blame you if you thought that I`m some evil being. I`d deserve it," she said flatly.

"I can't blame you for who you are." Riley said. "And as far as I know you aren't evil. My sister is evil. I suppose what one calls evil is up in the air." he said honesty.
Looking up at the ceiling, Riley could clearly see the sun peeking up above the trees of the forest. He search the walls for a clock, but the ones in the room had long since stopped over time.
"Should be be heading back?" he asked, not feeling very tired, but the library would be opening soon. It would look suspicious if two students came out of the ceiling.

Victoria looked around, then back at the sky. The sun was higher. That meant everyone would be waking up soon, if they hadn`t already. "Yes, we probably should be," Victoria agreed, making her way down the steps and back onto the shelf.

Riley followed Victoria down the stairs, picking up a book on the way out. Once he was on top of the shelf again, flicked his wand at the door. It appeared to melt into the ceiling.
"Alright. We can head back toward your common room if you'd like." he said, jumping over to another book shelf and climbing up to a set of stairs.
"You could take this with you, if you'd like it." Riley said, holding out a copy of Alice In Wonderland. "It's not getting much use up in that room."

Victoria cocked her head slightly to the side as the stairs disappeared. It was kind of cool. Victoria followed Riley to the stairs.
He held out the book. Taking it and smiling, she said, "Thank you." She loved that book. "My common room is kind of far from yours. And I mean, it would look sort of weird for a Gryffindor to be going to the Ravenclaw common room. I wouldn`t want you getting caught." she said. Wait, what? That last sentence wasn`t supposed to come out.

Liz was sitting outside by the lake. This whole ordeal was confusing her. She didn't know what to do. No one had seen Chanel since the 'accident' and Liz was worried. But she didn't know if she wanted to see her, honestly what was she supposed to say to her? 'I'm sorry your boyfriend died right in front of you?' Confused now seemed like an understatement.

Riley shrugged, surprised that Victoria cared that he got back to his common room secretly.
"I'll get back alright." he said. "We could go and split up again halfway between the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Common rooms." Riley suggested. Looking around one last time to make sure the librarian wasn't hiding anywhere.
