Feeling drowsy and pain far worse than a cruciatus, he crouched to the floor and closed his eyes to block out the pain. Surely it would go away soon. Surely his skin would be patched up in a matter of seconds, an ever growing organ? But no, he was still bleeding and finding it hard to breathe. He stumbled forward and closed his mouth around her arm, not letting go for everything as his heart beat slowed down, and his breathing stopped. He wasn't dead, yet. He took another, staggering breath.

Desdemona fought back with as much strength she continued to claw at his body she was nearly tearing it to shreds, She shook of his bite as he became week but not with out a hiss of uncomfortable pain first. she Slashed out at him once more sending him to the ground she stood over him a smirk on her face as she watched him fade away her arms was bleeding slightly sending dark black blood in a slow drip drop motion around her as she watched the poison kick in. Ahh revenge how sweet it was like a midnight treat of human blood at its best. She watched him as he struggled to breath and savoured the moment of the pathetic wolf hanging on to life before fate claimed him

Skah glared at her but then closed his eyes as hard as he could. He had thought seeing your life flash before your eyes was but a theory in an over dramatic movie. He panted well, like a dog, and thought of his life, reflecting for once. His gray fur was matted in blood that would not fade away. His face was in a pained expression as if someone was kicking him in the ribs repeatedly and he could not crawl away. Being a toddler, and pushing Zee into the mud he thought to himself, wincing once more. Zee turning into a wolf at about age two... Adriel throwing a tantrum at not being able to turn into a wolf yet... going cliff diving... having a crush on Adriel... he took another breath that came out in a barkish laugh. He remembered that well. Last year he had a fierce love for her, but it had slowly faded away... Beating up a guy who tried to kiss her... Pushing her in a lake... My first time turning into a wolf... Turning into a wolf every five seconds for a month... Boy did I wear out all of my shoes by then... Meeting Chanel... Loving Chanel... Dreaming about kissing, dating, hugging Chanel. Dreaming about being friends again with Odakota. About defeating vampires... About one day becoming a professional rugby player... The one time I betrayed my friends... This pain... This pain... I can't breathe! Someone help me! I can't breathe! "Chanel!" he yelled, but it was a bark. He wanted to desperatley tell her that he loved her. Somehow.. He just noticed it as he was in his death throws, his heart slowing down to naught. Jay you be respectful to Adriel. GOT IT?! he thought to him and then to the person he wanted to speak to the most out of all of them. Adriel! Adriel! Tell Chanel that I love her... Please! And tell Odakota that I'm sorry... Skah couldn't think of what else to say. That I don't want to see her cry 'cause I never wanted her tears, only her smile and tell her... that... Even in heaven or hell I'll never forget the day in the library. Oh, and Adriel. I love you, like a sister if I ever had one... Please just tell everyone. As a dying man's last wish. Bye... he thought to her and with one, last heaving breath, his eyes glazed over and his soul departed from his body. In one second, in one rash action, a werewolf's life was spent over a forbidden love.

Jay heard Skah's call and stood up. "Where is he?" He asked urgently to Adriel. "WHERE IS HE?" Nothing else mattered now.

He had to get to Skah.

Victoria was near the school when several sudden movements caught her attention. Desdemona, Chanel and...Skah? He did not look like he was doing too good. He looked like...No, certainly not. Victoria rushed over, looking like a blur to anyone who saw her. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the bloody mass of fur that was Skah. Stunned, Victoria turned to Desdemona. "You didn`t," she said in slight disbelief, her crimson eyes questioning. It`s not that Victoria liked the wolf, she simply never considered killing him. Nor did she think that any of the other vampires would. Evidently, Victoria was mistaken.

As Jay asked about the two of them being together Adriel gave him an odd look, but smiled. "What?! N-" But she stopped, hearing Skah's voice. What are you talking about as a ghost? What?! Where are you? she asked, listening. Her heart raced faster than she thought possible. What are yo- STOP! You arn't going to die! Tears started rolling down her cheeks. I love you too Skah! More than you know... Stop! You ARN'T going to die!!! But then there was silence. She looked around, her cheeks bright red and glistening. "I'm- I have to go." she said to Jay and ran as fast as she could to find Skah. Zee! I need help! SK is in trouble!!! I need you. Please! she thought to him as she ran all around the grounds. He couldn't be dead. She wouldn't let herself believe it. Skah! Please say something!

Desdemona enjoyed the glory of her victory as she watched his die, she glanced at Channel and smirked, "I hope you had fun," she said and was about to leave when Victoria came by, "I did," Desdemona said to her, "why wouldn't I ?" she said, "besides what is it to you." she said before she looked at Channel " I'll see you tomorrow we are going to have a very long talk." she said to her and looked down at the dead body of Skah, "what a waste," she said shaking her head and walking off in the direction of the village again. her heart was cold and her mind was set on one objective and with one wolf down things would be alot easier. once she reached the village she aperated away.

Victor looked at Liz, "I see." he said in a rather bored tone and sighed.

Desdemona aperated next to them. Looking smug. "What did I miss?" she asked and was glad to see Liz on her feet and the others on the ground.

"It doesn't matter." Jay blurted out, sprinting away in search of his friend. He ran everywhere he could think of, but no Skah. And then, suddenly, in the distance he saw Victoria, Desdemona (He narrowed his eyes) and....and...

Dropping to his knees, Jay gasped. "Skah? SKAH?!" His hands scrabbled madly at the poor wolf's bloody fur. "No...no..." His eyes turned blood red and he rounded on Desdemona.

"What did you do?" His voice was dangerously low.

Roux nodded as Zee raced away. But then a screaming pain and sorrow washed over her and she knew something was wrong. She raced after Zee as fast as she could. Something was wrong. Desperately wrong. Zee where are you? she called him in her mind, racing blinding, now almost overcome with a heavy weight that had settled over her. She felt tears welling up, tears she couldn't understand, until she crested a hill and saw before her the saddest sight.

Rushing to her friends she took in Skah's motionless body, everyone else's faces of shock and anger. She fell to her knees beside Skah and touched him gently. Her mind was in a whirl...how? when? why? who? Then she thought of Zee. Where was he? How would he cope? Bright tears fell from her eyes, hopelessly. Now at least she understood the sorrow she had felt...the pain...it was Skah. And now Skah was...gone...

"Nothing, I was just...surprised," Victoria said softly. For the first time since she got there, Victoria looked at Chanel properly. She didn`t look happy, to say the least. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out of it but a sigh.
A distraction in the form of Jay and his friends came along. Victoria watched him as they mourned over his lost friend with something dangerously close to sympathy in her eyes. "I..." she started. Victoria shook her head and directed her attention back to Chanel. She had some explaining to do. But perhaps not at that moment. The werewolves would be looking to get revenge, and being found at the scene of the crime was probably not the best of things. "We need to go," she said to Chanel quietly.

Zee shook his head and continued running. I know, I heard him. But maybe he isn't in trouble. Just stubbed his toe or something, you know? But she seemed for distressed than he. Did he speak to you? he asked, a tad suspicious. He continued to run as fast as his long legs would carry him. He an in leaps and bounds. What am I doing? he thought with a laugh. I'm running around like an idiot! Just use your nose! Where the hell have your instincts gone?! He threw his nose up in the air and sniffed. Ah! There he was! At the Quidditch Pitch! He wondered what was up... What SK said to make Adriel so worried. Finally, he reached the Quidditch Pitch. He looked around, no Skah. But then as he lowered his gaze... NO!!!!! An earth shattering roar ripped from his throat and he lunged at his best friend, turning into a man in one leap. He looked at Chanel and waved his wand, hurriedly clothing himself. The roar was so mournful, so heart breaking, that somewhere deep in the castle, a small child started crying at the very sound of it. "SK! You idiot! This isn't time to freak me out! Wake up before I have to hold you under water and wash yourself off. Come on. Come on..." He shook SK. "COME ON!!!! WAKE UP NOW!!! WAKE UP! THIS VERY INSTANCE! DON'T LEAVE ME! SKAH!!!! DAMN IT! WAKE UP! THAT'S AN ORDER! YOU UNDERSTAND?! AND ORDER!" Slowly, Zee's heart was shattering into a million, microscopic pieces. SK turned back into a man as well and he waved his wand with the last energy he had to clothe his best friend. He shook his friend more violently in a desperate attempt to wake him up. "Get up SK! PLEASE!" He screamed and then gave up on shaking him, leaning over his friend and sobbing.

Tears welled up inside him as Roux and then Zee joined him. "He...he...." He couldn't go on. Jay stared down at Skah's lifeless body and he howled.

"Skah. C'mon. C'MON!"

He didn't stub his toe. She thought to him. But that was all she said. She continued to run, fast and hard, until finally she heard yelling. It was from Zee. Heading in that direction fear struck her. Fear of what she would find when she got there. Did she want to know? As she reached the place she looked across the field, and there, right in front of her was Skah. For a moment she just stood there with tears falling down her cheeks. She was well aware that almost everyone else was already there, but she didn't care. The only focus she had was on Skah.

Odakota clung to SK's body and wouldn't let go. He cried... Zee never cried. In fact, he couldn't remember an instance where he did. Besides his parents death, and then all thoughts of crying ceased. He sat their dismally, looking at his friend, rivers coursing down two tan cheeks as he continued to cry, moving his lips wordlessly. "Skah," he croaked. "C'mon man... please... this isn't cool... Are you really that tired?" Of course he's not dead! Odakota thought with a chuckle. I'm being stupid. He's just sleeping. Yep... Just sleeping... "Sh!" he shouted at everyone. "Skah's asleep! Wake up SK, time to go to the forest... We're all going to the forest... And tomorrow is Hogsmeade... C'mon...." He smiled at his friend as if he was playing a trick on him. "Skah! Food!" he yelled, knowing this would wake his friend up instantly. He smiled, but then the smile slowly drooped. "What? What's hapenning? He's not waking up..." he choked, shoulders shaking. "Why not? Why isn't he waking up Roux? Why isn't h-" he couldn't force out any more words as he stared at his departed friend, his face so mournful it would break a heartless man's heart. He glanced at Roux. "Why isn't he Roux? How come?" he asked, his voice small and looking like he was a very small child, wondering why his father left his mother, or why his mother beat him, or why they passed away. "HE'S SUPPOSED TO WAKE UP NOW ROUX!" he yelled at her, feeling angry. "HE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO STILL BE SLEEPING ROUX! MAKE HIM WAKE UP ROUX!" Zee demanded, eyes red from crying, but tears still streaming, and body shaking from emotion. He was shaking so hard he looked like he was on a motor boat.

Time to go. Victoria roughly grabbed Chanel by the wrist and ran fast, dragging the vampire behind her. She kept running in the direction of the lake until they were about to fall into the dark water. "Now," Victoria said in an icy voice, "Explain." Victoria pushed her black hair out of her eyes.

Watching Zee cry was odd. It made Jay cry as well. Skah's blood soaken, limp body was just...there. It was horrible.

"C'mon Skah. C'MON!" He yelled, shaking SK as well as Zee. "SKAH! C'MON!"

Adriel finally snapped out of her gaze and looked at Zee with puffy, red eyes. She didn't want to say anything. She wouldn't have been able to say the words even if she tried. He's dead. Slowly she walked over to SK and looked down at him for a moment. Her eyes stung and all she could think about was the last words he had said to her. She was the only one to hear them and it was like a curse. They kept ringing in her ears. She dropped down to the ground and put her arms around his neck. Sobbing and tears soaked his chest and she whispered, "I will."

Jay couldn't believe it was happening. All the colour rushed from his face, except for his eyes. His eyes were not bright, elert and happy as they usually were. They were red, puffy and tearful.

Roux jumped as an almighty roar riped through the quiet air. She turned to see Odakota race down and throw himself at Skah. As he turned back into his human form Roux simply stared wordlessly. She ignored the vampires completely. They had simply ceased to exist for her and she suspected, for the rest of the wolves.

She was startled to see Zee crying she had never seen him cry before. The raw emotion in his voice as he pleaded hopelessly with Skah to get up made her own tears pour down her cheeks. But now he was pretending that Skah was asleep, why was he pretending? It was clear...wasn't it? And now he as asking her, his small voice more helpless than she had ever heard it. But she had no words to ease his confusion. She reached out to touch him, hoping somehow that her touch would help somehow. His raw vulnerability made her heart ache with sorrow. How she wished she could just make Skah get up. But she couldn't. No one could.

But now he yelling at her. And all she could do was shake her head helplessly, her green eyes painfully blurred by hot tears. "Zee...zee..." she heard herself whimper, "Odakota..." she whispered moving blindly towards him, wrapping herself around his shaking, tense body, "Zee...I...I can't..." she breathed her words painfully, her own voice raw with tears. She had her arms around Zee stroking him mindlessly, needing the contact, needing to feel something alive. ..

Jay looked up at Roux as she joined them. His cheeks were wet and his eyes puffy.

"He...she....Desdemona...killed...him." He choked.

Roux glanced at Jay's choking words. And she was suddenly filled with a blind hatred. Desdemona would pay! Oh how she would pay! Not only for killing Skah but for the untold pain and suffering Zee was feeling, what they were all feeling. Who was she? How could she? Anger dissolved into pain and sorrow.

Jay pulled Zee away form Skah's body. "C'mon." He whispered, he words strangled. He pulled his pack brother into a hug and for once in his life, he was glad, really, really glad to be a werewolf.

"Skah...will....miss us. And..we'll...miss him."
