Odakota took a deep breath and calmed himself. "I'm a third part outsider viewing the situation who has never met Skah in my life," he said to himself, trying to calm his hurt and not be prejudice in making the right decision. He looked at Adriel and nudged her playfully, trying to hide how hard this was for him. "Well time to get down to buisness, huh?" He questioned with a firm nod. Skah and Adriel had been his best friends. They had been insepreable. Sense Odakota was the one who had been a werewolf longer than anyone else he had taught Skah many useful tricks (like bring an extra pair of pants in your bookbag and take off your shoes if you start getting angry.) They had shared their whole life together and here they were, in a quandary on whether to ostracize Skah or not. "Alright Adriel, say what you think..." He told her, bracing himself. He was ready for anything. Even if she got angry or too emotional and changed into a wolf, he'd be ready. Zee leaned back and closed his eyes, taking another deep, steadying breath. Why did this have to happen?

Chanel melted. She parted her lips slightly, overcome with an unseen connection. She used one hand to brush away her long silky hair, grasping to him tightly around the waist, forgetting momentarily about what she would soon be doing.

Skah deepened the kiss, loving every moment before he started getting light headed. Oh right. His heart. That probably started to get beating again... He thought of impertinent thoughts and it started again, but at a very fast pace. He wondered if it was possible to die from a vampire's kiss, just because she was so wonderful. Perhaps he would die because he liked her so much. "You smell nice," he muttered between kisses. "It makes my instincts go crazy with my mind. I'll need an aspirin before long," he told her with a faint smile. He kissed her gently again, his hands on her cold face. It was so cold it almost burned. Hot and cold, what an interesting combination. "Tomorrow's Hogmsmeade," he stated somewhat randomly. His heart sped faster and he tried not to stutter his words. What was wrong with him?! He never got nervous. Ever. "And it'd be cool if we freaked out everyone and all of the wolves murdered me for seeing me with you," he joked, but being serious. "Of course we might have to keep it low... but... you know what... never mind..." He decided that she would probably say no, anyway. Dang it. In Hogsmeade there were so many places to be ALONE. Pity she probably would say no.

Adriel looked down for a moment, biting her lip, as if thinking how to say it without getting either of them angry. Looking up again she said, "I think that we should forgive him. I already have... The way I see it he just made a mistake. We all make mistakes!" She was trying her hardest to keep her voice from sounding angry. She figured Zee would be angry and retort something back, but she was ready for it. "It's not fair that everyone is avoiding him because of it!" Her eyes seemed to be a darker blue than usual as she looked deeply into his, searching for any emotion she could find.

But now she was curious, "You love...?" she prompted, but it seemed the moment was gone. Now he was proclaiming not to love her anymore. She couldn't help but wince slightly, whether she had Zee or not, someone telling you, you don't have their heart, hurt. Especially when you used to.

Roux sighed and shrugged, "Sure." she said with a little smile, "I understand..." Thing was, Roux still did love Jay. Just not the fiery, all consuming love she felt for Odakota. She loved him with pack love, and with a slightly different love...maybe it was friendship? She wasn't sure. And now she just felt so confused.

"Jay..." she began slowly, looking at his handsome face, "I..I'm glad we're friends again...It's good for the pack if not for us..." she shook her head slowly, "And I get that you don't love me anymore..." she paused, "But, do you think things can ever be the way they were?" she glanced at Jay, her eyes full of meaning, "You hurt me, and I hurt you...and even though we can surely be civil...I...miss you as my friend..." she looked up, her beautiful face, slightly unsure.

Odakota heard her out and his fingers dug into the rock. He released and threw the chunk of rock he was holding into the lake. "But no one makes mistakes like this. It's against everything. Our morals, instincts, even our laws, Adriel," he pointed out, his eyes not telling how he was feeling. Zee was good at that. He didn't let the others see his hurt. He wanted to be strong for them. Occasionally, he would let Roux see what was brimming beneath his serious face... but not if he felt total despair, like he did now. "It was a vampire Adriel," he told her, his voice rising slightly at his best friend. "What the hell do you think he was thinking? It was a vampire! How am I supposed to know he won't do this again? It really screwed up the pack as you can tell." Though his words were strong, his voice was serious. Not emotional. Just serious. A bit of emotion leaked into his eyes. It was horrible. Worse than a dying lamb. "It was me, Adriel!" He shouted now, unable to control himself. "Me! Me who joked with him, swam with him, ate with him, looked after him as he did for me! It wasn't just anyone else, Adriel. It was me! One of my best friends! And it's all my bloody fault!" He yelled, face filled with frustration. Slowly, and after a few more breaths, he was able to look serious again. As quiet as a stone wall.

Victoria was certainly fast enough to be able to get away before Riley even began to cast a spell. Though, hearing Riley reassure her that he would not kill her was strangely comforting.

It hit him quickly that he and Victoria had been in the woods for quite some time. Riley figured it would be acceptable to sharply change the subject.
"Hey Victoria, you wouldn't know if our free period is over or not?" Riley asked, having no way to tell the time. He was usually late for things anyways.
"I'm really sorry for wasting you free period." he added. "And if we missed any of class..." Riley said, trailing off and feeling bad for having been a bother, even though this situation wasn't either of their faults.

"I'm aware that she's a vampire Zee!" she yelled at him. "And I know that it's against everything that we have! But maybe, possibly, he couldn't help it!" She shook her head to herself thinking about him for a moment. "When I was with him yesterday we didn't say anything about Chanel! Nothing! So I don't know why he did it! Maybe he has feelings for her. I don't know! But look at you and Roux! You can't seem to control yourselves together either!" She screamed at him, angrily. Her eyes were filled with sadness, but her face showed how angry she really was. She had never been good at hiding it like Zee. "And I know it was you, Odakota! I was there! He hurt all of us, but we just need to all build a bridge and get over it! I trust him and I thought you above all would too!" Her body was now starting to tremble, but she hardly noticed.

Victoria waved her hand dismissively. "Don`t worry about it. I have nothing better to do, including going to class," she said. "But we ought to be getting back," she continued.

Odakota's eyes were alive with anger. Not at Adriel but at the situation in general. He was a werewolf after all and entitled to loose his temper once or twice. "Do not bring Roux and I into this situation! That's something... different!" Zee yelled. "And if he had feelings for a vampire... That's just- They're just- VAMPIRES!!" Surely that wasn't it. Please let that not be it he thought to himself. He still remembered the night when his parents were slaughtered by a coven. His father had been a chief and the whole reservation had mourned. The thought never left Zee as they left other people. He watched her trembling and he yelled, "Damn! Take a breath and do some yoga or something!" He kicked his favorite rock in fury and it split open. "How am I supposed to explain that?!" Destruction of school property. Nice Zee, nice. "And don't you think I want to trust him, Adriel? Can't you see that?" He asked, anger still in his eyes and gritting his teeth. "I want to but I just can't. My parents learned the hard way not to trust a traitor." The last sentence was a quiet whisper. He grasped his necklace that had been given to him by his parents and memories flooded him.

Adriel looked away for a moment as he yelled at her about him and Roux but then quickly turned to him again with anger in her eyes. "How is it different?!" she screamed at him. "I'm not bloody talking about the werewolf- vampire thing! I'm talking about the 'love' or whatever part of it! Something I wouldn't know about since all I've ever had in that way is Logan!" Only him and SK knew very much about Logan. She thought she had loved him, but things had gone terribly wrong... But that's not who or what she wanted to think about right now. She ignored his yoga comment and bit down hard on her tongue when he started talking about trust. He wants to! she thought to herself with disbelief. "No Odakota! Apparently I'm blind! I don't see that at all! When people want something, they actually try!" she yelled. "You have put no effort into it! All you do is avoid him!" She was now fully aware of how badly she was shaking. She felt that she would brake at any moment. At his last comment, she felt a wave of sorrow... She remembered his parents and all the moarning that the pack had gone through. It was terrible, but she couldn't keep her focus on that part of it. "A traitor!" she screamed at him. "Just the other day he was your best friend! That's just more proof that you are not trying at all!"

Odakota jumped up from where he was sitting, turning his head and lwoly growling. He stopped apruptly when she mentioned Logan. "Logan that little..." He was filled with a new anger. But her next words made him continue to growl a little. "Yes a traitor! Adriel, believe it or not but ninety nine percent of my attitude is pure instinct and trusting Skah is going against my isntinct! I haven't tried? Do you think it was easy to avoid him? Do you think it's easy to ignore your instincts? Do you think it's easy to have to dodge your best friend because at any moment you just might spring at him? Of course it's not!!! It's pretty darn hard. Making pack decisions sometimes is hard. When I saw him all I thought was to fight and get even. Obviously, not kill him, but just get my temper out a little... But seeing as I'm damn scared of myself sense I just realized sometimes I can't control myself in wolf form dodging him sounds like a pretty good idea!" He thought back to Chanel. He hadn't stopped. He hadn't shown mercy. The reason? He was incapable of doing so. The way werewolves settled disagreements was to fight. Zee couldn't do that if he thought he might injur Skah to badly. "And on top of that SK IS a TRAITOR IF HE STANDS UP FOR ONE OF ThEM!!"

"Sometimes you have to go against your instinct, Odakota!" she yelled at him. "Because there's still that one percent chance in your mind that things are going to be okay. I never trust my insticts and I ended up okay! I spent most of the day with Skah yesterday and I was fine! Even when we came across Chanel." She hated Chanel so much. She would have rather stabbed herself through the stomach than spend tons of time with her. "Sometimes you just have to take that chance." As he went on and on about it not being easy, she had no idea what to say. She just looked at him with hurt eyes... She looked like she was about to cry, but she wouldn't let herself do that. She never did. She grew more angry than she could remember being in a long time as he said that last comment. It was almost frighening how loud he had yelled it. She only heard that from him a few times. "THAT'S NOT THE WAY I SEE IT!" she screamed at him. "IT WAS A MISTAKE- AN ACCIDENT!!!" She knew that he was right, but there was no way she was going to admit it. As the trembling worstened she knew that this was going to end up in scars.

Roux suddenly felt slightly winded. Jay loved Adriel? Well, that was an interesting turn of events. she thought. Still, she was happy for him. If this was true love, this time.

He missed her too? She would never have guessed that! Still, now his arms were around her neck and he was hugging her. She hugged him back, patting his strong back gently. "I'm glad we're friends again.' she said sincerely. But she still couldn't help but compare how that hug felt compared to Odakota's hugs. It was nice. Warm, friendly and nice. But nothing to Zee.

She pulled back from the hug to look at Jay. "Adriel?" she asked softly, "Jay, are you sure? " she couldn't help but play devil's advocate. Now he was her friend again, she didn't want him to be hurt. "I don't know how Adriel feels..." she said thoughtfully. Honestly, Roux always though Adriel and Skah would end up together. But maybe it wouldn't turn out like that. She now felt desperate to help Jay. "But I can ask her for you if you like...?" she offered with a smile.

Jay's eyes closed as he felt Roux hugging him back. When she pulled away, he did too, smiling all over. He nodded.

"Yes. I'm sure. Whenever I see her I feel a burning. Whenever she smiles, I feel like I'm dying but so alive. She's a blind kind of sight and whenever she looks at me, my heart lifts." He spoke with such a passion, anyone would believe him.

"But she likes Skah...."

Roux nodded sadly. Jay was speaking words she believed to be true as well. But his passion sounded so intense. She was almost heartbroken that she couldn't help him.

She touched his arm gently, "Oh Jay." she said comfortingly, "You don't know for sure...Let me talk to her..." she offered again, "I'll see what I can find out..."

Roux hated seeing Jay like this. he was usually so confident, all smiles and flashing eyes. But now...now he seemed entirely broken. His last comment, made while looking her squarely in the eyes cut her a little though. "Oh Jay," she exclaimed in surprise, "Adriel doesn't hate you!" she paused, wondering if she should bring up what she thought he was referring to, "And if you..if you're talking about me..." she bit her lip, "I never hated you, Jay!" she said, her hurt apparent in her voice. She couldn't believe he had thought she hated him. Angry, yes, hurt, annoyance, saddened...but never hate!

Jay felt so unsure. "She doesn't? Well she never speaks to me...." He looked up and continued to fiddle with her hair, although it didn't feel right. She was Zee's now.

"You never hated me?" He grinned. "You sure on that one?!?!"
