He yawned slightly and then caught Roux's glance. Suddenly he felt uncharistecally self concious. Did he look alright? He shook his head and tried to tell himself to stop being such a wimp. If Roux was staring he couldn't be that bad... He hoped. Dearly. He also noticed her blush, highlighting her cheek bones. Zee nodded and hopped up off the rock. "Well that rock was rather warm and I'm ready for some cold water to be on my back." He was feeling unusually energetic today. "I suppose we left the forest to the vamps last night so they had their chance to hunt. Tonight will be ours, too and-" he was caught off guard when Roux unbuttoned her shirt and removed her skirt, revealing a blue bathing suit.

He blinked a few times. The bathing suit looked great on her, he had to say. It hugged each curve beautifully and complimented her skin tone. He wondered how he got a girl this beautiful. He continued to stare before a corner of his consience tried to remind himself thrusting his body into her arms and kissing her infront of Adriel would be tacky. Stop staring, stop staring he repriminded himself. It's rude! He then quarelled with himself. But Roux... She's really quite beautiful... He shook his head trying to remember what he had just been saying. Zee bit his lip in inablity to remember. He cleared his throat. "Ehm... Yes! Swimming!" He finally said, unable to remember what he had been saying previously. With a clueless smile he took a running jump/dive into the lake and laid on his back in the water, loving the sensation of cold against hot.

Roux felt her face getter hotter by the second trying to keep her eyes from Zee. By oh, it was hard! And now she had pulled off her clothes, she could feel his eyes on her like a spotlight. Thankfully, Adriel quickly undressed and pulled Roux into the lake with a splash.

Roux closed her eyes enjoying the cool, smoothness soothe her burning face. She let herself drift for a little while under the water, trying to control herself. Come one, girl! she told herself, It's not like you've never seen him shirtless before! But then another voice retorted But not since you've been together! Go on! Go for him! it encouraged. Kicking strongly, her head broke the surface and she looked around for Zee.

Adriel or not, she was quite within her rights to steal a kiss. Now, if only she could find him...

Zee was trying to control his hormones at the moment. He didn't like feeling out of control. But he was a teenager, Roux was pretty enough to be a model, and he loved her. He dove down in the water and breathed slowly out, ignoring his heart which was insisting on having small attacks everytime he thought about Roux. The greenish blue water lapped around him as Odakota shot through the water fast as a bullet. With a mischevious smile and this time unable to control his hormones he grabbed Roux's ankle and pulled her down beneath the water. With an innocent shrug clearly stating that he couldn't help himself, pulled her closer by the waist as they began to float upwards. Her hair was swirling around like a story book mereperson's.

Adriel looked from Zee to Roux and finally said, "Okay, awekward." She glanced at the caslte for a moment then added, "But don't stop with your... merriness just because I'm here. When is Jay going to get here?" she asked mostly to herself. She shook her head to herself, still not seeing him, then dunked her head under the cold water.

Roux couldn't help but let out a small shriek as something pulled her under the water. Spinning around she saw Zee and smiled at his shrug. But now he was pulling her close and they were floating slowly upwards. She smiled at him, and ran her hands up his strong arms, linking them behind his head and pulling his handsome face to hers for an underwater kiss. Oh his lips were warm and smooth, and the contact sent tiny explosions all throughout her body.

As they broke the surface of the water, they were still wrapped together. Roux oblivious to all but the boy she was with. Giddy with hormones and love. She heard Adriel and broke away, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Sorry, Adriel!" she exclaimed, a little shamefully. Just because she couldn't control herself, didn't mean poor Adriel should have to watch! But before she could say anything else, Adriel had dived beneath the cool water again.

He kissed her back until they got to the surface where he took in a breath of air. I had seemed magical under water and Roux had added to the magical feeling. He sighed happily and was about to kiss her again, hugging her small body already, when he heard Adriel's voice. Reality hit him hard like a brick wall and he blinked a few times. "Oh, woops," he said to Adriel. But Zee couldn't help it. He loved Roux, with all of his heart. "Sorry Adriel..." he began. But there Roux was again, so close to him. And Adriel hadn't surfaced yet... and the water was so murky he was positive that Adriel wouldn't be able to see them. He slipped a quick kiss on the top of her head.

Hearing their appologies Adriel came back up to the surface of the water. She shook her head and said, "Seriously, you two! Stop appologising! It's not your fault you're madly in love." There was a bit of sarcasim to her voice, but she was pretty serious. For the most part anyway. "You're like the perfect Logan/Rory combo. Ooo, or as SK might say it... or maybe not, the cheese and the bread. Zee you're probably the 'cheese' since well... you're the guy and they always say 'the big cheese' and..." She sighed knowing that they probably had no idea what she was talking about and/or didn't really care. "It's... all good." she concluded.

Zee couldn't help it. He had to laugh. Adriel was just so random. Even when Skah was mentioned he didn't stop chuckling, though it did grow slightly quieter. He remembered that SK loved grilled cheese. Zee didn't care for it, himself. He didn't let go of Roux, even though Adriel's words did make him look at his feet in sheepishness. "Thank you. It's not everyday I get called a cheese," he notified with a thankful nod. "And for the most part... I'll... try to refrain from um... excessive 'merriment' as you so quaintly put it... But let's have try be the main word there." Odakota never made a promise he couldn't keep and he wasn't planning on starting now. He knew he couldn't promise that they wouldn't snog eachother's faces off while they were infront of other people. But he would try... He smiled. "So Adriel... Did you get your homework done?" He wondered if she really did need to talk... about something important..

Roux exchanged embarrassed glances with Zee about Adriel and then laughed at their almost identical expressions of regret that Adriel had to be around them. She shivered slightly as he slipped a kiss on her wet head.

She laughed at Adriel's random comment. "But what if I don't want to be bread?" she pouted playfully. She half wished Adriel would just go away, but chided herself. It had been Adriel's idea to come here anyway. Perhaps, she should let Adriel play with Zee, too. It couldn't be easy, what with Skah hardly being around and Zee with her.

She tried very hard to concentrate on only what Odakota was saying and not the way those lips moved. In fact, maybe it would be better if she only looked at Adriel. She turned to look at Adriel, nodding her head slightly.

Adriel gave a small laugh and said, "Anytime. And thanks for trying. It's good enough for me." Anything like that was good enough for her since she didn't know how hard or easy it was. She hadn't really found someone that she cared about that much. She'd always just stuck with her friends and that seemed to always be good enough. She didn't know what she was going to do now that it seemed the whole pack was getting together and on the verge of marriage or something. Maybe she would end up being that loner with the long black coat and mysterious bag...

"Umm... Yeah. I did. Or atleast of the classes that I didn't skip." She said in answer to his question. It was kind of a wierd question... One that she thought of as a question for desperate measures after awekward moments. She shrugged. It kind of fit. "But we can't sit here talking about homework Zee. How are we going to show all the other years how rock and roll we are if we do that?" she said sarcastically.

Zee smiled at Roux, her hair draping around her shoulders, her looking like an angel. Her warmth against his. Her smiles, laughter, pouting lips... He also decided to look at Adriel instead. It was harder than he would have thought to spend every second trying not to kiss Roux. She looked at Adriel with a raised eyebrow. "Skipping? Education is very important, Adriel," he told her, half smiling. He remembered that they were about to miss Transfiguration but refrained. He was about to give a lecture... What could he say? Zee was an expert on lectures, but refrained. "Then what do you want to talk about Adriel?" he asked and once the words were out of his mouth wished he could swallow them. This would take hours...

Adriel smiled and said jokingly, "Now don't you go turning into my dad..." He would say that kind of thing all the time. She even remember getting a howler from him once with this whole long lecture about it. That had been embarassing if nothing else. Her smile faded slowly as he asked his question. She dropped her eyes. Did she want to talk about it now? Not really, but... "Skah." she half muttered and half blurted out. Her eyes still didn't meet his. She almost didn't want to see what they would look like.

"I'm not going to go turning into your dad," he promised. "I don't know how to write a howler properly." He smiled lazily as the sun warmed his back combined with Roux so close by. He waited for her to say something random like her pet bananas Bob and Jerry. He almost fell over backwards as the topic was brought up. His eyes were flooded with other emotions besides sureity. Confusion, anger, sadness, confusion... hurt... hurt... hurt... His brown eyes sparkled with pain and he bit his lip and nodded, trying to put on a brave face for everyone else. "Alright then! I suppose we had to reach that subect occasionaly!" Odakota exclaimed with fake cheeriness. It sounded so fake to him, it almost made him cringe.

Roux could not help but laugh, "What? You don't think homework is rock and roll?" she asked in a faux innocent tone. She nodded solemnly as Zee gave Adriel a 'lecture' and giggled at the end, still trying not to look at him, but feeling his warmth oh so close.

When Adriel muttered Skah, Roux instantly felt the air become slightly tense. She shifted uncomfortably. Sure, she had been friends with Skah and Adriel before, but the three had always had a special closeness. She wondered if she should go. This time she turned to Odakota and sought his dark eyes, "Do you want me to go...?" she asked him softly, she saw the depths of feeling in them and it felt like a wound to her own heart. Stroking his arm gently she offered to leave, "I will, if you want me too...' this last part was also directed at Adriel. She knew of their special bond, and certainly didn't want to get in the way...

Adriel looked up when he said that. It wasn't exactly the response she had been expecting. When she saw his eyes, she knew that his tone was fake. Clearly there was no joy for him to be talking about it. She understood that. "Thank you." she said softly, her blue eyes gentle. She glanced at Roux then back at Odakota again. She kind of wanted her to leave, but she let Zee decide. As much as she liked Roux it was hard enough to talk about it at all. But again, it was completely up to Zee.

ooc: I'm sorry! Can we finish this tomorrow... It's like 3 in the morning here.

He looked at Roux slowly. She was about his only comfort. Adriel was... they were best friends but on this subject Adriel was torn more so than Roux. But he decided to make a smart decision that would benifit them all. He knew that there was a good chance Adriel and him might get in a yelling fight and he didn't want Roux to see him loose his temper if he did. "Roux..." he began. "Would it be alright if Adriel and I talked alone?" he questioned as the three began to swim towards the shore. He dried himself off and sat on his favorite rock that seemed to absorb the heat. He hoped they could talk out here... Odakota thouht better in clear air.

Jay sat by the rest of the pack, not really listening to what they were saying. He smiled weakly at Zee, every now and then but id not acknowledge Roux at all. He couldn't forgive her yet. Perhaps he never would.

He couldn't help but stare at Adrial. She had some sort of power over him that he couldn't explain. Could he possibly...love her? Unsure, Jay let out a yawn.

Roux nodded. She had been sort of expecting this. Though it still hurt ever so slightly. As they all got out of the lake she dried herself off with a wave of her wand. Slipping her clothes back on she hugged Odakota. "Find me later, okay?" she whispered in his ear, then she kissed his cheek. She threw a quick smile at Adriel and ignoring Jay as he did her, stalked past him up back to the castle.

Jay glanced at Roux as she past. She had such hate in her eyes when she saw him. He didn't understand. It was her who hd done wrong and he didn't HATE her.

Why did she hate him, when he hadn't done a thing?

He closed his eyes as they hugged. He hoped she would understand. She was half way to the castle when he noticed he hadn't responded. He sprinted up the hill to Roux. "Yes, of course I'll find you," he told her and kissed her gently, hoping Jay wasn't anywhere within seeing distance. He didn't want to make Jay angry. He walked over to the group and grinned at Jay like he hadn't broken his jaw a few hours ago. Like Jay hadn't kicked him and shouted at him. Apologies would come later. "I'm glad you came Jay, we'll be right there. Adriel and I have to talk. Roux went up to the castle, i think." He didn't want anyone to be angry but surely they understood. The threesome (Odakota, Adriel, and Skah) had been insepreable until the other night...
ooc: they just swam around really.

Now Adriel wants to talk to Zee about Skah. but all they did was swim around.

Roux shook her head angrily. She desperately wanted to see what Jay was doing, but she forced herself to stay ahead. She was so unprepared for the confusion of feelings that rose within her when she saw his face. Of course, her anger melted away as Zee sprinted up to her and kissed her. Oh this boy, how did he make he feel like this? Like flying and falling? Like being dizzy and yet entirely still? She turned to watch him run back to Adriel and Jay, finding herself admiring his smooth loping strides. She hoped Adriel and Zee could talk it out and feel better. But watching them brought her eyes back to Jay. And seeing Jay, made her feel like screaming, like crying, like running away.

Jay smiled at Zee and Adrial, before standing up and walking away, closer to Roux. As he walked towards her, he almost stopped and ran back towards his...friends? Perhaps. But he carried on walking and sat beside her.

"Hi..." He mumbled, not really knowning what to say. What COULD he say to her? Tell her that he loved Adrial? Never. That he wanted to be friends? He could say that..

"Iwannabefriends..." Damn. It didn't come out as clear as Jay had hoped, yet all the same, he smiled handsomly, before glancing back at Adrial.

Roux had been steadfastly looking ahead, not giving any indication that she had noticed him beside her, when he spoke. She turned to look at him in amazement, when not only did he say 'hi' he said something she had both been wanting to hear and not wanting to hear.

Roux blinked. She wasn't sure what to say. She wasn't sure this was what she wanted yet. But, now Jay was looking back at Adriel and Zee and it was like a reminder. No matter how she felt, it would be best to accept him so the pack could go on. She knew Zee would have accepted him.

She sighed and looked back at his face. A face she thought she had loved before she knew what real love was. 'Okay' she was going to say, but instead came out a rather incredulous, "Why?" Trying to erase her mistake she shok her head, "I mean, okay....well, I do mean why, but I also mean, okay." she blurted confusedly. She winced at her own words and ran a hand through her still damp hair.

Adriel shot the two an appologetic smile as she watched them leave. With a swish of her wand, she was dry again. She pulled her jeans back on glancing at Zee for a moment then back at the ground. She was preparing for the worst. This is what she always did when it came to situations like this. That way if it went terribley wrong- yelling...or more- then it wouldn't be a shock and if it didn't go as bad as she prepared for then she would have something to be thankful about. She sighed. There weren't many times when she had to do this. Not with Zee anyway.

Pulling her hair back into a ponytail she finally joined Odakota. She practically had to force herself to look at him. His eyes seemed so full of hurt. She wasn't used to this.

Jay's face was full of hurt as he stared into her eyes. He couldn't help but to take a strand of her long, red hair and twirl it between his fingers like he used to. Realising his mistake, he dropped it immediately. She didn't love him anymore. He wasn't ALLOWED.

"I...I don't know. I mean...." He could't get his words out. "I think I lov-" He stopped. What was he thinking?! He couldn't just TELL her that he was in lvoe with Adrial.

"I think I...?? Well, I don't know what I think anymore. But I don't love you." Jay shook his head at his perhaps painful words. "Sorry to be so blunt." A grin spread across his handsome face but faded slightly.
