Yay!! Now we have everyone! *squee* Okay, I'll start. Dumbledore announced the ball at dinner, so I thought we'd start in the Great Hall the morning after. Hope that works out with everyone.
Oh, Tori, I didn't think Tori and Remus were dating yet. So if they're supposed to be, then, er... disregard the majority of this post that I slaved away on for nothing!

Remus sat in the Great Hall, completely oblivious to the hustle and morning business taking place around him, and instead stared down at his buttered toast as though, somehow, it might tell him an answer. He'd always admired and respected Dumbledore, but he could not possibly fanthom where Dumbledore came up with these ideas. It was awkward enough asking a girl out. And though writing an anonymous letter seemed like an good way to ease the humiliation, Remus had ran the whole thing through his mind several times the previous night and this morning, which brought him to the conclusion that asking a girl to the ball in this way had to be much worse. Writing a letter was all fine and dandy if you used the proper literary technique and got the girl to want to say yes, but then suppose she finally saw you, became utterly repulsed, and left you thirty seconds into the ball?

He blinked, picked up the toast and took a second bite. He was just overanalyzing this. It was just the sort of thing he always did, being that he'd never had that ease for romance and dating the way James and Sirius seemed to naturally have. And still, he wasn't sure why he was getting so worked up about it. It wasn't as though he had a lack of communication with who he wanted to ask. It wasn't as though they weren't friends. And it certainly wasn't as though they hadn't flirted with each other ever before. So, as Remus started staring intently at his toast again, he did not understand why it should be such a complicated thing to ask Astoria to the ball.

OoC: And I'll write Alexei's later, I'm being called to dinner. Plus, I think he's a lone Hufflepuff. Hehe.

Elvira sat next to Astoria, in the great hall, leaning on one arm. She was casually pushing the remnants of her breakfast of scrambled eggs around on her plate as her mind raced through her head furiously. Surely she would be asked to this ball, whether its anonnymous or not...
Elvira sighed, and scratched spikey designs onto her plate with her leftover ketchup. She glanced along the Slytherin table, and found herself blush at the sight of him. Silent, as usual for his early morning breakfasts, but still so... She would never be able to explain it.
His thin lanky limbs always appearing out of place next to his friends, Rosier and Mulciber. She looked away, and scanned the Great Hall.
Elle chuckled and nudged Tori. "Guess who's absent-mindedly staring this way?" She hissed inbetween giggles.
She ran her hand through her dark hair and snuck a quick glance back in his direction.

"So, who're you asking?" Charlotte asked her brother, Blake, as she sat down next to him. He looked up to her, slightly confused. He never was the brightest. "To the ball? To whom are you writing a letter?" She asked. Blake shrugged. Well, that made two of them. Charlie was pretty sure no boy was asking her to the ball, meaning neither of them would have dates. She'd just stay in the common room all night. I mean, sure, it was nice to dress up... and it'd be lovely to have some guy ask her... but why get her hopes up?
Blake rolled his eyes. "Don't worry so much, someone will ask you." Brilliant? Maybe not. Perceptive? Absolutely. Especially when it came to his twin. She would find someone to take her to the ball. It was mostly him having to find someone. He could write very well, but finding a girl? That was a whole other story.

Charlie looked around the room frantically. She looked at so many of the guys. Were any of them looking at her? Were any of them thinking of her in that way? Would anyone ask her? She could only pray. Charlie sighed as she sipped at her coffee.
Blake, too, was looking around the room, but not for who would ask him. For who he would ask. Did he think of any of these girls romantically? Sure, they were pretty, but did he really want to spend a whole night with them? Who said they would say yes anyways?

Charlie sipped at her coffee. Blake watched her. She was nervous. Then he saw something she didn't, the owl. He smiled. Good, no reason for her to worry. Just for him... "Um, Charlie?" he nodded at the owl.
Charlie untied the letter tentatively. The owl flew off and she watched it go. She opened the envelop and read the letter. Then she reread the letter. Letross? Who was that? Well, it was supposd to be anonymous anyway, so she supposed it didn't matter if she knew him. She'd answer him, soon.
"You going with him?" Blake asked, not even knowing who it was. Charlie shrugged. "I don't know..." she said mysteriously. "I've got to think."
