Ares felt Aphrodite hug him close and froze. He slipped an arm around her waist, giving her a quick squeeze. “Shh.” He said quietly, holding her close. He had no idea what to do. Seeing Hades standing there with a knife worried him. He watched Hades carefully.

Hades turned, holding up the little tool. It was small and sharp and would do fine. Looking at the sleeping couple he wondered if he should wake Aphrodite so she could see Ares die. The thought seemed rather appealing. He smirked, laying a hand on her shoulder to wake her. Ares had to be a heavy sleeper, right?

Aphrodite continued sleeping as Ares soft quiet shushes lulled her to sleep. But then a chill ran through her and she shivered in Ares arms feeling something cold on her shoulder, something unfamiliar. Shivering again, she snuggled further into his body. "Ares...it's cold..." She lifted her hand to put it to her shoulder, and was surprised by what she felt. Both of Ares arms were around her....so who's hand was it? Gasping, she sat up looking into the dark....but only making out a silhouette. "Wh-who's there?"

Hades leaned down to her level, ignoring a soft noise coming from somewhere. “Who do you think?” He snapped, pulling his hand back. “Didn’t think I’d give up that easily, did you?” He smirked at her, twirling the small blade between his fingers.

Ares snatched the closest thing he could find. He had to wonder, though, what could be in a bottle the size he had snatched. Curling his fingers around the wide neck of the thing, he knew he had to wait for the right moment.

APhrodite could feel her heart racing as she heard that familiar chilling voice. "H-Hades...." She breathed, feeling a wave of fear rush over her. Then she caught a glimpse of the shining metal in his hand. "Wh-what are you going to do?"

Hades smirked as she realized who he was. “Well my first job is to let you watch your boyfriend die.” He smirked. “And then you can go yourself.” He reached over to Ares, only having time to blink before he felt the glass bottle come over his head. “What the-?!”

Ares brought the bottle over Hades’ head with as much strength as he could. The smash of glass made him wince as the neck broke off. “Maybe you can go first.” He snapped, jumping to the floor.

Aphrodite screamed as the bottle shattered over his head. Biting her lip she watched as Ares stood up. As an impulse, she reached out for his hand while Hades was a little disoriented. "Ares...."

Ares smiled a little madly, watching Hades stumble back. It felt good, and he wasn’t going to deny it. He felt his hand in Aphrodite’s and looked back, expression suddenly soft. “Babe…” He trailed off, swallowing a little. “I-I don’t know what-” He turned back as he saw Hades get his bearings back.

Hades was thrown off by the sheer force behind the hit. He stumbled back, almost falling, before taking a few moments to get his bearings back. He put a hand to his head, very glad when he didn’t find any blood, but reached down to get a hold of the knife again.

Aphrodite squeezed his hand and brought it to her mouth kissing it lightly before looking back at Hades. "Why? Why can't you leave us alone? We just....we just want to go home."

Hades chuckled a little, but kept an eye on Ares. “Because this is what I do.” He said darkly. The real reason was that they had not only gotten him angry, but Voldemort as well. Gripping the knife a little tighter, he looked at them with a smirk.

Ares gave her hand a little reassuring squeeze. “I don’t care. You have no right to do anything like this to her.” He snarled back, completely aware of what he had said. Hades and he had never truly gotten along and they were always at each others throats.

Aphrodite whimpered softly not letting go of Ares' hand. She knew what was going to happen. A few tears fell down her cheek and she looked at Hades. "D-don't. Please...don't kill him."

Hades simply smiled at her. “You really think your sad little pleas are going to change my mind?” He asked, holding onto the knife with a tight grip. “I’m not going to kill him right away, though.” He looked up at Ares, knowing he wouldn’t endanger Aphrodite if he could help it. “Might as well let him suffer first.”

Ares kept a hold of Aphrodite’s hand, unable to turn around or risk both of their safeties. “Leave, Hades. You don’t belong here.” He spoke loudly, hoping to wake someone up. “You’re only going to get yourself hurt.” For some reason his words sounded ridiculous, even to himself. That was very, very, unlike him, but he was afraid to do more and possibly harm Aphrodite.

"No...." Aphrodite whispered softly. She couldn't sit there and watch him torture Ares. She just couldn't. Moving, she repositioned herself and slid to the edge of the bed holding her hand over her stomach. That cut was never going to heal. "Hades...please....please. I'll do anything just....just don't hurt him..."
