Ginny smiled brightly up at Harry as he revealed the two blankets he had. She settled down on and snuggled further into the one that was laid on top of her. She turned to lie face to face with Harry and took one of his hands in hers, deciding she should ask the question that had been plaguing her for days.

Harry sighed. He knew it had been coming. "Gin, I can't tell you everything. Dumbledore hasn't given me permission to...I hope you understand. Ginny bit her lip to try and stop the flow of tears that were threatening to fall as he spoke, she was so scared she'd lose him, scared she'd lose others that she loved like Hermione, Ron and the rest of her family. She looked into his eyes and put one hand on his cheek.
"Harry, I want..no, I need you to know that I'm here for you. I know you can't tell me everything and I respect that but even if it's just for someone to hug rather than talk to, I'm still here for you. Infact I hope you won't be hugging any other girls, except Hermione, she's allowed." She told him with a soft smile, trying to make sure he didn't become depressed by the subject of conversation. | |

The tears spilt from Ginny's eyes as Harry said he'd try not to die, a sob threatened to erupt from her throat as she thought about Harry dying. She smiled weakly and tapped his nose with her finger.
"You'd be in big trouble if you did leave me Mister!" She told him as she let the tears roll slowly down her cheeks, not being able to bring herself to say 'if you died'. | |

Ginny's eyes shined with tears as he spoke, but happy tears this time. She leant over and kissed him softly on the lips, she knew how much it had taken him to say those three words to her and she was so thankful to him for saying them. She rested her forehead against his, a stupid, happy grin on her face.

Ginny smiled sweetly at his child-like behaviour, kissing him on the forehead before snugggling down next to him. Loving the way that her head fit under his chin perfectly and sighing contently. She wished they could stay like this forever but was happy to just not worry about the world and its problems for a little while. | |

Ginny absent-mindedly played with Harry's hair as he began to fall asleep. He looked so peaceful and free of worries when he slept, like he didn't have the weight of the world on his shoulder as he sometimes looked when he was awake. She yawned and knew she'd have to wake Harry up, otherwise they'd both fall asleep out here and end up getting a detention. She gently nudged him, whispering to him, "Harry, it's time to get up. We've got to go back to the Gryffindor Tower." She told him softly, hoping she would be able to wake him that easily but unsure how heavily he slepy. | |

Ron eyed Harry and Ginny warily as they left the table and exited the Great Hall. He thought about following them but since Hermione wasn't there decided that one of them should welcome the new Gryffindors and show them the way to the common room. As the feast ended Ron made his way groggily up to the tower with a pack of first years behind him. "The new password for this term is Romenius. Don't forget it or you'll be left to sleep outside," Ron said over his shoulder. He entered the common room and found Harry and Ginny asleep on the couch in front of the fireplace. His face turned bright red as if smoke would poor out of them at any second.
