Ginny scowled at what Harry thought would be Draco's reaction, she hoped that if he did say that Hermione would just slap him. She felt Harry's thumb rubbing across her palm and leaned in closer to him. She giggled as Hermione spoke to Draco, really hoping he'd be extremely shocked by her news for him.

Hermoine heard Ginny's giggle and couldn't help but smile to herself. She put her hand behind her back and gave Ginny, Ron and Harry the thumbs up sign. Malfoy's reaction was going to be extremely funny! If he mention the m word though, her fist would collide with his nose like it did in their third year.

"Good summer" Neville replied half-heartedly to Ron before getting out of the carriage and heading towards the Gryffindor table. He noticed Luna first though, and quickly walked over. Maybe one day he would understand her weirdness... but probability on that ran low. "Hey Luna...had a good summer?" he asked her nervously.

"Yea well if he calls her a mudblood I'll punch him myself." Harry looked at Harry and saw his hand under the table along with Ginny's. Rolling his eyes he decided he wouldn't say anything.

Harry had noticed Ron's eyes looking at his hand under the table. He didn't take his hand away from Ginny's though. Instead, he sat & waited for Malfoy's reaction.

Draco stopped in mid-stride as Audria took off from him and headed towards the Great Hall without him and watched as she did so with a shock stricken face. I can't believe that she just did that, he thought. After a moment of being in stunned silence, he attempted to yell out at her, "Audria!" But he saw the look that came across her face and stopped. She had said what she wanted and made her choice. What pleasure had been showing on his face had now disappeared and a scowl replaced it.

Ron frowned thoughtfully. "Wasn't exactly the reaction I was expecting. Was it me or did he seemed...I dunno...a bit preoccupied."

Ginny watched on as Draco turned to acknowledge Hermione and spoke to her and then pouted slightly at Draco's reaction.

"Well that wasn't at all fun!" She said sadly and thought about Ron's comment. "Yeah I guess he did seem a bit, ruined our fun though. I was quite looking forward to seeing Malfoy getting all worked up over having to share a common room with Hermione!" She exclaimed with a laugh.

Ron mumbled to himself. "Yea well I don't really fancy that part of it." He then looked down and began fiddling with his prefect badge. Wish I had got Head Boy. Then I'd be sharing a common room with Hermione, he thought.

Ginny turned to her brother and gave him a sad smile. She knew her big brother quite well really and she could see how much he cared for Hermione, he was obviously quite upset that he couldn't share a common room with his romantic interest.

"Don't worry Ron, I'm sure you can go visit Hermione in her common room and that'll bug Malfoy even more!" She told him, a happy grin appearing on her face at the thought of an annoyed Malfoy.

Hermoine reached their table and saw that the only open seat was next to Ron. She wasn't complaining, but he'd never know that. "Well, that was a total waste of my time," she sighed. "I've never known Malfoy to not leap at a chance to insult me. And I was looking forward to punching him." She turned to Ginny and asked, "So what are we doing after lessons tomorrow?" Hermoine hoped that everyone had forgotten Quidditch as although she'd spend time with Ron, he probably wouldn't fancy her, if she fell of her broom.

Ron beamed as Hermione sat next to him. "What do you mean what are we doing...you're learning Quidditch." And after that I'll catch up on the massive amount of homework I'm sure I'll have.

"Yeah Hermione, you've got your first flying lesson with Ron!" Ginny said happily, she wanted the two of them to have lessons on their own but was contemplating spying on them to ensure that they didn't have a big arguement. The two of them were both so stubborn and she knew that if they started fighting it could be a very long time before they started speaking again.

"Ron, I can't fly!" Hermoine said, trying to argue her point with him. "And anyways, think of all the homework we'll have!" She really wanted to spend some time with him, but she really didn't think Quidditch would show her off in a good way. "I don't even think I know how to get on a broom properly," she mumbled under her breath quietly.

"You don't know until you try Hermione. The homework will be there when we get done, and besides it's the first day of classes, how much homework could we possibly have?" Ron grimaced on the inside knowing full well that with it being their seventh year, they would probably have a ton of homework.

Hermoine put on her best pout and turned to Ron, "but I don't want to." She said softly. As long as Ginny or Harry didn't speak up, she'd probably weasel out of this, Ron couldn't keep going on one topic for that long. Could he?

Ron smiled and put on his best Hermione-knows-best act. "It's always good to learn something new." He laughed and went back to his normal self, "besides it'll only be for a couple of hours. Of course if you get better than me we'll have to stop. Can't have the teacher being outdone by his student, can we."

Harry, still slightly disappointed by Malfoy's lack of malice, turned to Hermione, "Hermione, you're not going to weasle out of this one. Ron is going to teach you to fly.. I'll help too, but I might be conditioning Ginny so she is running like a well oiled machine for tryouts." He beamed at his girlfriend.

She shot Harry a glare and decided that she may as well listen to them. "Fine, tomorrow we'll go and try Quidditch. Harry, Ginny's perfect. She was perfect during the summer, she'll be perfect during tryouts, and she'll be perfect during the games. Just like the past two years!" She sighed, sometimes she thought Quidditch was all Harry and Ron thought about. She put her head onto Ron's shoulder, not even registering what she was doing. His shoulder was comfy, she decided and left her head leaning on it.

Ginny giggled at Hermione trying to get out of learning to fly, she really wasn't going to get out of this one, not with all three of them on her case. When Harry commented that he'd be training her she turned to him with a look of mock outrage on her face.

"Harry James Potter! Why do I have to do training as well? I can tell you I am already in great shape thank you very much! If it wasn't for the fact you have a Firebolt I know I could out-race you, and I'm a much faster runner than you as well." She told him as she took her hand from his and placed it on her shoulder with a look of sympathy on her face.

"Harry, you just have to admit that your girlfriend is in better shape than you. I know it hurts but it's the truth and you've got to learn to live with it." She said to him and patted him gentle on the shoulder before turning to look back at Hermione and Ron across the table with a smirk on her face.

"Ginny's right Harry," Hermoine said removing her head from Ron's shoulder. "It's something you and Ron need to get into your heads. Girls are smarter, stronger, prettier, in better shape, and are more logical than Boys. And we always will be." She concluded shooting Ginny and evil grin. Hermoine loved being evil to Ron and Harry.
