What we fail to settle is your opinion on this issue and what you're going to do about it," she responded in a straight tone. "How about we start there instead of attacking my mother?" she asked, in all seriousness. | Draco stared at her, knowing she was right about everything she was saying. He didn't want to admit defeat; he didn't want to talk about his opinions and how he felt, but Audria wanted that.
"What do you want me to say, Audria?" he said hopelessly. He knew there was no chance of escaping the Dark Lord. His family was too high up in his ranks. "You don't understand. Your parents aren't involved with him like mine are. I have no choice but to stay with them; I have no chance of escaping and you know that. Why do you even bring up these ideas?"
His cold gray eyes graced her face and he knew that he was right now. He couldn't muster up enough bravery to leave the Dark Lord. He would be killed; the only way to prolong his life, despite what Audria said, was to stay on his side. Although she was right in saying that it would still result in his death, it would prolong his life.
"You just don't understand," Draco huffed.

Harry smiled at her happy laughter. That was definitely one of his favorite sounds in the world. "Yeah, don't go changing that," he said, sighing into her hair. A worried, disgruntled look came across his face. He wished he could stay like this forever and never have to worry about stupid Voldemort. Harry hesitated. He didn't want to bring this up again and make Ginny cry. "Nothing," he said simply. "Just worrying, you know. I'm always worrying, after all." He smiled at her and kissed her nose simply, feeling sure that she would know something else was wrong with him, but still sincerely hoping she just dropped it. "Harry, I know that you're not in the best situation right now but dwelling on it un-necessarily isn't going to help matters. You have your mettings with Dumbledore and the DA and plenty of other times when you need to focus on Voldemort. With me you don't need to think about him. Just think about you and me." Ron woke up from a restless sleep. Everything in his body wanted to be with Hermione and make sure that she was going to be alright. He rolled over and tried to go back to sleep, not succeeding, he gave up and threw on his bedroom robe and crept downstairs. He walked quietly down the stairs, past the common room, and through the portrait hole. Not paying any attention to his surroundings. He crept quietly up the stairs, just narrowly avoided Peeves and opened the doors to the hospital wing quietly.
Ron looked toward Madam Pomphrey's office and hearing no sounds coming from it walked silently toward Hermione's bed and opened the curtains with a smile. He looked down at Hermione with a wink and gave her a kiss. "I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd join you. Move over so I can sit on the bed and close the curtains." | |

Ginny watched Ron walk past with wide eyes. "I can't believe he didn't see anything! He must have seen us so why didn't he say anything?" Ginny wondered, puzzled. She turned back to Harry. "Oh well, I'm glad he didn't say anything, he's probably off to visit Hermione and is too busy thinking about her to do anything else!" She said with a giggle. | |

Giving up was never something that she resorted to but it seemed that with Draco, it was the only thing left to do. However, she couldn't muster up the strength to get up and leave. "That's where you're wrong, Draco. I do understand. No one understands you better than I do. You can argue mindlessly about everything else but don't you dare deny that fact," she snapped back at him, before crashing unto the couch. As much as she hated to show how much Draco could alter her disposition, Audria was too drained to care about what was going through his mind right now so she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm down. | |

He wasn't quite sure why this upset him so much; probably because she was always the one out of the two of them to remain calm and cool.
She was right; she did understand him. So, he wondered to himself, why was he so scared to trust her? He was raised, of course, to not trust anyone. God, he hardly even trusted the people who had raised him!
"Audria," he said calmly, in a softer tone than before that still contained his normal curtness. "Tell me more about this group," he sighed. He wasn't sure how he was going to manage this, but Audria obviously wanted him to, so he was willing to at least sit and listen to what the group was all about.
He was scared, he had to admit. The Dark Lord, he was raised to believe, was the one person he should always fear. The Dark Lord, if he ever found out about this, would punish Draco, probably with death. Draco knew all of this and, somehow, he managed to take a deep breath and listen to what Audria had to say. | |
