Harry laughed at Ron and Ginny bickering; they were such siblings. "I'm glad I don't have any siblings to bother me with such things," Harry said. He was lying, of course; he had always wanted siblings, especially after he met the Weasleys, but it was still a good enough remark to make.

Harry nodded. "I definitely think of you all as siblings, but Ginny, I must honestly say, I don't think of like a sister." He laughed at the disgusting though. "And you'd better be glad about that," he said in Ginny's direction.
He nodded at Ron's remark about it being late. "Yeah, we'd better get to bed," Harry said, yawning. He really didn't want to let Ginny go, though. He held her around the waist very tightly and kissed her forehead.

It always smelled so nice, slightly musky, like dust and old Quidditch brooms, but the hint of broom polish and books was there as well. Harry agreed; Ron wouldn't want to see them saying goodnight. "Well, Ron if you're tired, head up to bed; I'll be there in just a minute. I just want to tell Ginny goodnight," he said, knowing this would cause Ron to leave. Ron did stand up and bid them a goodnight. As he walked up the spiral staircase, Harry smiled at Ginny. "You're a genius," he said, kissing her nose.

Ginny laughed at Harry's comment and moved to lie next to him, glad that the common room was deserted. She lay by him in silence and took one of his hands in hers, playing absently with his fingers. She enjoyed the quiet moments with him sometimes, it felt like it was just the two of them in the whole world. | |
