Marilyn caught on quickly to what Jake was doing. "All right, that's enough. Come with me, young man," she said. "In fact, why don't all of you come with me? This is a very serious offense, and I want a full account of what is happening."

Marilyn wanted an excuse to save the students from the crazy Mr. Pennyless, and this was the perfect opportunity to try to get them to safety.

"But we didn't do anything." Snapped Jenson as he saw Mr Pennyless come past them.

Mr Pennyless smiled evily. "Since Jenson has snapped at you, i'll let you deal with them, your lucky he did because from now on if they don't do anything to you, I deal with them." He smiled evily, now there was no way that they could fool him.

Marilyn smiled. This was going to be easier than she thought, as the fool had agreed to let her deal with the students. "Yes sir, and you can bet they will pay for what they did, just as you would have it," she said, trying to conceal the contempt in her voice from Pennyless.

Once he had left, it was her turn to act. "Let's get out of here now," she hissed softly, leading the group in the direction of Hogsmeade. They had to get somewhere where they would be safe, somewhere far away from the eyes of the megomaniac Pennyless, and that was the best place to go and and try and strategize with the students.

Jenson looked at the Professor. "Yeah, I think we should before he realises what we are doing, he hears and knows everything." He hoped they could get out of there before he realises what had just happened.

"I agree, we need to get out of here now, while we still have the chance," Marilyn said. "Let's move it, everyone!" She needed to give the impression of being in charge and of punishing the group, just in case everyone's least favorite person was still around.

Jenson followed the Professor, "I was sure that he was going to say something." He whispered to the Professor. "Oh dear." He suddenly stopped as he looked at the door.

There was two guard there.

"Well, I think there's only one thing we can do," Marilyn whispered to Jenson. "I'm pretty sure this is the correct password, but let me give it a try. All we can do is hope."

With that, she walked up to the guard, looked him straight in the eye and said the word "cabbage". Marilyn hoped with all her heart that was the correct password, if it wasn't they would have to think of something else to do.

The Guards moved to the side to let them out.

Jenson looked at the Professor. "How did you know that was the right password?" He asked. "Come on maybe the Professor will know someone has used the password." He said as he openned the door and went outside.

Marilyn laughed. "I just happened to overhear that fool Pennyless saying the password out loud when he was passing by here the other day. For someone who is so power hungry, he certainly isn't very careful. We should be safe now, and we should be able to make our plans."

Jamie Matthewson came running down the halls of Hogwarts. He didn't know what had happened but someone he couldn't remember where he had been for the past few hours. What was going on in this school. All he knew is he needed to find Serena. For some reason she was the first one that he thought about and he didn't have a good feeling about what was going on.

As he was looking around he saw her. There was spilled wine on the floor and she looked like she could have fallen over dead at that very moment. "Serena" He said shocked as he ran up to her. He took her in his arms. He wasn't sure if this was an act of happiness since he had found her, or comfort since she was hurt, or just support for his her legs came out from under her. Well apparently it was all three. "Merlin, what happened to you" He said looking her over but still holding her.

Serena looked up as Jamie came in and realized what a state she looked in. She didn't want to give him the truth. Her eyes went from the wine on the floor to his arms around her; she said, Nothing, nothing. I'm tired - must've fallen asleep or something.... It wasn't the whole truth, but it wasn't all a lie either. She tried to push herself back into the armchair she was sitting in awhile before.

Jamie helped her to sit down in the arm chair. She told him that nothing was wrong and he knew that was not true at all. Pennyless did something, he just knew it. Why wasn't she telling him though. He looked down at her with concern on his face. "Serena, what did he do" He whispered. He hoped that she would tell him. Something had happened. you didn't just look like this when you had fallen asleep.

Seated once more, Serena couldn't bare to keep looking at him when he looked like he cared so much. Her eyes moved to the fireplace, but when they reached it, a tear leaked out of each of them. It doesn't matter, she said in a slightly shaking voice. It's nothing compared to what could have happened, so.... don't worry about it. She attempted a watery smile at him.

She still wouldn't tell him something had defiantely happened. He knew that Pennyless had done something. He was sure of it. He decided to quit badgering her about it, that would only make matters worse. But then a tear slowly moved down her face. The next thing that he knew he was taking her in his arms once more. He knew that he shouldn't have, it was out of his place, but he had done it. He could not watch her be hurt. What was going on?

Serena was so confused, but every single memory, every bad thought - it all seemed to ebb out of her when she was in Jamie's arms, but this relief made her cry more, and she had no idea why. All I did was acccidentally run into him, Jamie, she whispered a bit choked.

She started crying more and more.... and each time she cried harder Jamie just got even more mad at Pennyless. But he wasn't even going to think about him now. THe only person that was on his mind was Serena. He strocked her hair trying to comfort her. "Its okay" He whispered to her. He didn't let go of her though. He couldn't bring himself to. I think it was safe to say now that he had feelings for this woman. But he pushed that out of his mind and focused on trying to make her feel better.

Serena pulled her head up from his shoulder and wiped most of the tears from her face. Now that she was looking at him again, though, everything but him disappeared from her mind and she was thinking instinctively instead of actually thinking. She kissed him.

All Jamie could think about was how upset it made him to see her hurt like this. It just wasn't right that this had happened to her. He felt her lift her head up and the returned her gaze. She was beautiful, he had always though so. The next thing he knew she had leaned in and kissed him. At first he was alittle shocked. He hadn't been expecting that. But then he pulled her in closer to him and returned the kiss. His head was spinning. It was like the rest of the world didn't exist it was just the two of them.

Serena's arms wrapped around Jamie's neck as she deepened the kiss, the tears no longer coming. Nothing was ever so real as he was to her now, and she didn't want to go back to all the pain and suffering happening within the school she loved - she wanted to stay in this moment forever and forget anything else.

Jamie felt her arms around him. And then the kiss was even deeper. His heart was racing. He pushed all thoughts of everything else but Serena out of his mind. He pulled her in as close as his could so that there was no more room between them. He continued to kiss her for as long as he could. Slowely he pulled out of it, they both needed to breath. He hated to end it. He rested his forehead against hers looking into her beautiful eyes. He didn't move so that there was still the closeness between them. His only thoughts were of her.

As he pulled out of the kiss, Serena's eyes met with Jamie's and it was as if they hadn't stopped at all. Who cares what Pennyless did? There was something to fight for when the will of the students' safety hadn't been enough. Her eyes didn't move from his, but slowly she said, What are we going to do? knowing he would know what she meant.

Jamie just looked at her. She was his, or at least thats what it felt like. They were holding each other in their arms, it just felt right like two pieces of a puzzle fitting together. "I honestly don't know" He said to her shaking his head slowely. They had to do something, they just had to. He stroked her hair again. "I just don't know" he said in more of a whisper this time. So many things were going through his head right now.

Serena took a deep breath before saying slowly, We can't just let him get away with this. What do you think? she asked before actually explaining what she was asking about. I personally don't believe he's much of a dueler - more of a person to curse someone for no reason than to duel, she said a bit bitterly, though it was hard to feel like that when looking at Jamie.

Jamie was listening to what she was saying. "Well I think first we need to get the students out of here" He told her. "they are the top priority and they need to be safe" They weren't safe here, look at what Pennyless had done to her. Then again she was actually the top priority to him but he would definately be taking care of her through all of this. "Then I think we need to get him gone" He told her. "Does he have anyone on his side at the moment?" Jamie asked Serena curiously.

Serena nodded. I agree one hundred percent - they need to get safe before we worry about Pennyless, but I was just merely wondering what would happen if we met him before we could get everyone out safely. She sighed slightly. This was going to be very, very difficult. I don't think so, but then again, I try not to pay attention to him, she replied with a grimace.
