"I always wake up early," Danity said. "I don't sleep much. I spent most of my night watching you sleep. It's very...fascinating to me."
She reached for a cup and filled it with coffee. No cream, no sugar, all black. Yum. She took a sip and placed it back down on the table. She pushed her hair behind her and gave Draco her full attention. "Why are you up this early?"

Draco stopped his fork mid-bite and stared at Danity, slightly appalled. You watch me sleep?! Words couldn't describe what emotions were flying through Draco at that moment. That was it: from this day forward, there would be no more 'falling asleep in the common room'. No more mister nice guy....

Danity looked at him like he was crazy.
"Yeah...what's so wrong with that?" Danity asked.
She loved watching normal humans sleep. It was amazing. Normally, others would be flattered by the thought of it. But apparently, Draco was not.

Draco sighed and sugar-coated his answer for her benefit. Nothing, I guess. I was just...... taken aback. That's all. He sighed again and pushed the remainder of his eggs away, suddenly at a loss of appetite.

Danity averted her eyes away, her lips pursed. Draco must be bi-polar. One minute he was happy, the next he wasn't. He was worse than her, and she was the one living with a monster! Boys were crazy. But there was so much she didn't know about him...she wanted to know everything. She looked back over to him, her lips still pursed. "So...you never really told me much about you...how about I ask questions and you answer me?"

Draco sighed when she looked away. He didn't like fighting with Danity, but sleeping was a different matter --- it was just something that seemed personal to him. When she spoke again, he shrugged. Ask away, he replied with little enthusiasm as he poured himself a glass of juice, though in truth he was the slightest bit interested into what she wanted to know.

Danity tapped her bottom lip while she thought of a question. Her face sparkled as ideas ran through her mind. She had quite a few questions to ask, and maybe this wasn't the place to ask them. She was sure some of the questions she wanted to ask weren't things he wanted everyone to hear. She wanted to know about his family life, and she was sure he didn't want anyone to overhear.
"How about we go somewhere else, so not everyone can listen?" she suggested. "I'm sure you don't want everyone knowing your business, obviously I wouldn't..."
She grinned at the last little part she added, a joke. Her eyes studied his face, waiting for a reply.

Ron took a seat at the gyffindor table. He filled up his plate and waited for the others to come join him as he started eating.

Draco held back a sigh as his eyes locked with Danity's again. He downed his glass of orange juice and stood up. Yeah, that's fine. I guess you're kind of right. He smiled and walked out of the hall, quickly finding an empty classroom. He sat down on a bookshelf and waited for Danity quietly.

Danity followed him out of the Great Hall and into the empty classroom. She studied his movement for a moment, her eyes lingering on his face a moment too long as she thought of what she wanted to ask him. Of course, the most obvious question would be about his family and home life. She didn't want to appear offensive or nosey, but merely curious. There was something so fascinating about the normal human life and how they lived. Their emotions seemed to vary more than hers did. She felt like she had been a monster for ages. It was hard to imagine that she had been a real human less than a year ago...
"I want to know all about your family," she said, finally breaking the silence. She pursed her lips, her golden flecked eyes boring into Draco's. She crossed her legs, her hands resting on her knee. "All there is to know. I want to hear it all."

Draco was unable to hold back a heavy sigh. Where to begin? Well, I'm an only child. I've lived in London all my life. My parents are control freaks who I, unfortunately, inherited my looks from. Ummm... Draco hadn't said much, but the only really super important stuff was a bit too important.

Danity shook her head, her eyes challenging him to say more.
"That's it?" she asked. "That's all you have to say...?"
She was a bit disappointed, and her voice definitely let that show. She half expected him to just open up and tell his whole life story, and half of her knew better than to think so. Draco was so complicated. He had moments where he was easier than a book to read. And then he had his moments where he was the hardest person Danity had ever been able to read.

Draco looked up at her with slightly harsh eyes. What more is there to say? I've said everything I can think of. Unless... of course... you want me to swear profusely in front of you. He attempted a grin to lighten her mood. It certainly wasn't a very good outcome, however hard he tried to fake it.

Danity threw her hands up in the air as if surrendering. "I'd rather you not," she laughed.
"I just...I figured there would be more to your story. The way everyone makes you out to be...it's like you live this amazing life. But yet, you seem to hate it," Danity said, her voice full of confusion. "I just don't understand..."

Draco smiled... well, sort of. It was more of a proud, stuck-up grin, actually. Oh, yes. I guess it would be amazing in the aspects they are thinking of. My family is pretty, wealthy, you see. I can definitely see where they're coming from with that. But I doubt they wish for my family in particular. If they do, they're insane. He shook his head slightly.

Danity looked away.
"Well, whether you like them or not, at least you still have your family...that's more than I can say...," she murmured.
She was an only child and an orphan. And here Draco was, complaining about his family. At least he still had one. She had nothing...

Draco eyed her fiercely. Well, I'm sorry you don't have a family, but I'm not going to be thankful for having Death Eaters for parents, but--- He stopped short and turned away quickly. What had he just said?

"You what?" Danity exclaimed, demand clear in her voice. She lowered her voice, it almost coming out like a snarl. "Your parents are death eaters?"
She growled and rose from her seat, walking to the back of the classroom. She walked over to the window and rested her hands on the frame.
"How come you never told me?" she demanded, the growl not leaving her voice.
She was infuriated. She hadn't known that he was keeping a secret that large. And to think, she was falling in love with a Death Eater's son...the thought disgusted her. Not Draco, surely not him...
She turned, her face to him, her eyes wild. "Don't tell me you work for him, too..."
She crossed her arms across her chest, a fierce look in her eyes as she waited for his response. This was a lot to drop on someone, especially someone with so many things on their mind like her anyways...

How stupid of Draco to let himself slip up like that! He worked to cover his mistake as quickly and with as little frustration as possible. Haven't you been listening? I hate my parents! I hate the whole lot of them! His icy dagger tone was back to fixing things.

"Yeah, but I thought you hated them because they were mean or something!" Danity exclaimed. "In case you haven't realized it yet, you are extremely secretive with me! I'm not even sure if who I'm falling in love with is really you!"
She turned back to the window, no longer facing Draco. What she had said was wrong, but she didn't really care. She was too caught up in the heat and anger she was currently experiencing. She was honest with him, why couldn't he do the same for her?

Draco wheeled around and marched over to her. He spun her around to face him. I'm secretive with you? In case you've forgotten, Danity, I didn't know anything about you until just recently. So for you, there's no room to talk.
