History: Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has stood sentinel at the heart of magical education for decades upon decades. The hallowed halls have been visited by the most intelligent, the most adventurous, the craftiest, and the most vile witches and wizards for generations. While some believe that they have discovered all there is to be uncovered in the ancient castle, there is one room that has yet been penetrated.
Having been created centuries before the epic battle of good versus evil, culminating in the defeat of Voldemort, the room has remained sealed. An ancient magic was used to insure that the room would only open if the Deep Magic was triggered.
The Deep Magic is a magic that measures the ebb and flow of nature itself. If the balance is tipped, in essence, if a tide of great evil suddenly erupts within the laws of nature then the Deep Magic will trigger the awakening of the Ancients. With the awakening will come the discovery of the Ancients true powers and abilities inherent to their true heritage and the seal on the room will be broken. Held within this room is the key to destroying the Dark Tide and restoring the balance. Within the room is a power that only the Ancients can control and master.

Plot: As the Dark Lord Voldemort made his return, and Harry Potter fought for his life, the very fabric of nature was torn asunder. Deep within the bowels of Hogwart’s a door revealed itself as the spell sealing it was broken. A ripple of magic shot through the night effect a select few who were as yet to be born, ultimately changing their lives and destinies forever.

It has been over a hundred years since the time of Harry Potter’s youth and the magical world has changed little. Hogwart’s still stands as the leading magical education institute and is operating at maximum capacity. However, there have been reports of people disappearing and a few unexplainable deaths have been reported.

A group of young students are about to make a discovery that has been long in coming. What will they discover and how will they deal with the new abilities that are coming to bear?

Okay so this is my first RP and I have based it on the Eragon series but gave it a HP twist. I have MsMorgan helping me on the plot that will unfold at random and I hope that everyone has fun! Every person will have a dragon to RP with and you will need to create a profile for them as well. They can be of differing species and colors. (i.e: Red Hungarian Horn-tail, Blue Tiberian Short-tail) Be creative!

Name: Sonja Murphy
Age: 17

Appearance:
Background: Sonja comes from a hostile home environment. Neither of her parents has ever given her much notice as they wanted a boy and not a girl. They gave her the essentials: food, clothing, a place to sleep; and left her alone. While other children were getting things for being good, her parents gave her things to make sure she stayed out of their way. Both work in the Ministry and are extremely proud people. They pride themselves on being of Pureblood status.

Five years after Sonja was born her parents got the little boy they had always wanted, Devin, further pushing Sonja to the background. She quickly learned to fend for herself and not to trust anyone. Her grandmother was the only person who seemed to care about her, so when she started school she moved in with her under the pre-tense that it was closer.

This suited both parties as her parents didn’t have to deal with her and Sonja could be more of herself. She resents her little brother Devin as he takes every opportunity to remind her that her parents don’t love her and never wanted her. This all resulted in the suspicious and often aloof attitude that she uses as her barriers against the world.

Personality: She is a fiercely independent and strong individual. When she does manage to make a friend (if you are lucky enough to earn her trust) she will do anything and everything for them. Few have seen her true nature, but she does have a softer side. One must work to see it.

She doesn’t much care for what people think and often says what’s on her mind regardless of the situation or the person. She is brazen and callous in everything she does and learned it from the best. (Her parents) Stay on her good side, or make an enemy for life.

Heritage: Technically Half-blood; one of his great-great grandmothers was a Muggleborn, but seeing as this was far back in his family line and the rest of his relations (barring her direct line of Half-bloods) is Pureblood, he tells everyone he is a Pureblood. And since his family keeps this a secret, no one else knows the truth.

Background: Ethan and his twin sister Simone were born into a very proud and arrogant 'pureblood' family. The twins were homeschooled by one of their House Elves from a very young age until about the age of ten when it was discovered that Simone still had not displayed any magical aptitude and was classified a Squib. Horrified that the daughter of 2 'purebloods' could possibly be a Squib, Simone's parents sent her away to a Muggle boarding school and they quickly covered up the fact that she ever existed as their daughter. Ethan was homeschooled one more year, alone, before being sent to Hogwarts. Being very close to his twin, Ethan missed her terribly when she was sent away and has not been able to forgive his parents for how they treated his sister. He has learned how to send mail the Muggle way so he could keep in touch with Simone without his parents' knowledge as they forbid him to acknowledge her existence and relation to the family.

Personality: Although Ethan detests his parents for how they have handled their family situation, he also feels some sense of loyalty to them therefore making him feel very torn. He respects their wishes by making people believe that he is an only child, yet because of his love for his twin he would never denounce her as his sister. No one at Hogwarts knows about her, mostly for the fact that he keeps to himself and does not easily open up to others, not even his girlfriend. Because of his self-isolation, he often comes across as snobbish and arrogant. Though Ethan was raised to believe that he is better than others, he doesn't necessarily believe that though it is hard for him to separate himself from what he was taught.

Breed: Antipodean Opaleye
Color: Green with an iridescent pearl-like sheen

Personality: Knowing that her specific breed is known for their beauty, Palysse is very vain about her appearance and therefore thinks she is superior to all other dragons that are of another breed. She is small in stature and is not particularly strong or aggressive, but she can have a fierce temper when provoked.

Background: BK grew up the child of a Count, her mother worked in the French Ministry when she met Count Dauntess Monte Cristo. Her mother was a African born from Burkino Faso who moved to France for the job. He was smitten and they were married. BK grew up with people always fawning over her and deferring to her because of her family. Her mother died giving birth to her. So she is the Countess Monte Cristo. Her father treated her like the princess she was. He spent every moment with her that he could. She spent more time at her father's feet as he conducted business and she could maneuver better than most businessmen. She was a happy child, never cried or whined.

Personality: She is a bubbly person and she is always smiling. She is a playful spirit and young at heart. She sees the glass as half full and she is always trying to fill up the other half. She is aware that she has money and influence but she doesn't lord it over people or use it to sway people.

Background: Stephen's father worked for the Ministry of Magic, in the Law Enforcement Division, and met Stephen's mother while he was vacationing in Spain. (So Stephen is part English and part Spanish). Even though she was a muggle, the two of them fell in love and were married a few months after they met, to the objections of both sides of their families. They remain happily together, and Stephen has led a happy life up to this point.
Personality: Since Stephen has known a life of happiness, he is generally happy himself. He is a kind person and is willing to listen. However, he can usually spot when someone is bad, dishonest or lazy and isn't very tolerant of that at all. He tries to be a motivating factor to his friends and would really like to see positive change in the world. He has friends who are muggles as well as wizards, and enjoys playing muggle games such as basketball with them. He has taught some of his magical friends how to play, as well. He likes people who are creative, and is always willing to lend a hand, especially for those who really need help.

Darkhurst is also cruel. She prefers forests, the older and bigger the trees the better. She may make his lair behind a waterfall or near a lake, pond, or stream that provides a submerged entrance.

Backround: Helion was born to parients Sarien and Katalina who both come from priviledged families and are great aurors. They always taught their son from early on that they were not just gonna give him everything he wanted, he would have to earn it. Helion for a long time resented this but later on in life he realized how much he acomplished and how much he could relate to the average person and how skilled he had become as a wizard and thanks his parents everything they taught him. At 16 his family manor catches on fire in the middle of the night and is quickly engulfed in flames. Helion is the only one to make it out alive literally running through fire and after he mourns the death of his parents he starts to wonder why me, how did I make it out alive and unscathed. He starts to realize that somehow he has the ability to handle extreme heat.
