"No," said Shane shaking his head. "Not really, no. None of the girls I've ever been with are up to any of those serious relationships." Not that Shane was sure he could do it himself. Sticking to one girl seemed a lot harder to do than it sounded. Maybe with the right girl, but still . . . he just wasn't sure about that yet. "Besides, I'm only seventeen. People don't fall in love when they're seventeen." He laughed rolling his eyes at the very idea.

Carr rolled over and poked Shane in the ribs with two fingers and said, "They do when the master of all love bumps into them at a pub." But she agreed with him for the most part. She supposed it was possible to have a type of love when you were seventeen, but doubted you could find the love at that age.

"Okay, you got another question for me?" she asked him after a moment of rather peaceful silence.

As Tristan waited for Bryan's response he peered into the basket, wondering if the house elves had access to his favourite summer muggle treat, ice lollys. At this thought some appeared in the basket. I love those little guys, he thought as he gleefully picked one out and took it out of its wrapper.

"Another question," said Shane thoughtfully looking up in thought. He had pretty much used up all his good ones. "Alright how about this one: What is the weirdest thing about you?" Shane loved learning about people's quirks and hidden talents. Sometimes they could be gross and other times it turned out to be some of the coolest things he had ever to witness. Even in the wizarding world.

"Only to pull off the greatest prank in the history of Hogwarts," said Bryan with a wide grin. They had yet to plan it. As of now, he and Shane were still brainstorming ideas but he knew they would come up with something spectacular in the end.

"Sounds like a pretty good use of time to me." Tristan assured him as he ate. He loved the boys pranks and couldn't wait to see what they would pull off this time, he knew they'd want to do something pretty big.

Carr almost laughed outright at the question and said, "You've known me for the better part of seven years, Shane. When it comes to weird, I don't exactly hold anything in."

Still, she thought about the question, to be fair, and tried to thinking of something truly strange that he didn't already know about her.

"Hm..." She thought long and hard about the question before finally coming up with the perfect answer. "I'm colorblind in my left eye," she said. "Well," she amended, "mostly. My left eye can still see a couple shades of purple and really bright shades of blue. But other than that, nothing."

"Really?" asked Shane truly intrigued with this new bit of information. "That's bizarre. And in your right eye you can see color. That must look really strange." He wondered what it must have been like to walk around seeing perfectly well out of one eye and the other eyes missing some shades. "I guess you're used to it though. I can't imagine what it would look like though."

"Try telling that to the teachers," laughed Bryan. "They think it's a total waste of time. Although I know some of them love it. I swear I saw Professor Nettle laughing last year when he pranked those Hufflepuff girls." He had Shane had managed to put a special charm on some small creatures such as frogs and worms and newts and transfigured them into various items such as hairbrushes, quills and make-up. When touched they would change back into the original animals. The girls nearly killed Shane and Bryan for that one.

"Professor Nettle would laugh, that one's got a history of pranking I think." Tristan commented. "Any ingenious ideas yet then? Of course if you can't tell me becauses it's all being kept a bit hush hush then I won't be offended." He promised. To be honest he kind of liked being surprised with the rest of the school.

Even though she was lying down, Carr shrugged. "I can't remember what it was like to see color in both eyes," she said honestly. "I've been colorblind in my left eye since I was four years old. I was--" she stopped immediately. She'd just been about to tell the story of how she'd gone colorblind but redirected the sentence and said, "It's kind of a gross story."

"If you don't want to tell me the story, that's fine," said Shane with a nod. "I respect that." Though he was quite curious to know but since he was trying to win over her affections, he wasn't about to go and be annoying and pry into her business if she wasn't willing to tell him on his own.

"Shane and I have come up with a few ideas but we haven't thought of the actual prank yet," said Bryan. "We're still trying to plan it out and come up with something really good."

Carr grinned widely at his consideration, but repeated, "No, I mean the story's actually really gross. I was four years old and sleeping. My parents rushed into the room because I'd started screaming. When they came in, they saw that my eye was all covered with blood and some gooey, black and white stuff all over and they rushed me to the hospital. The doctors told them that a spider had crawled under my eyelid while I was sleeping and bit my eyeball. When I smack myself in the face when I woke up, I squashed the spider under my eyelid and that was what all the black and white stuff was. Colorblind ever since," she said.

"I'm guessing it's going to be an all-out, whole school kinda thing?" Tristan asked curiously. Pranking had never been his strong point, he wasn't inventive enough for that type of thing. And he was pretty rubbish at keeping secrets, he'd only tell his closest friends but in terms of pranking that could be more than enough.

She definitely hadn't been lying when she said it was gross. Shane made a face to show his disgust. "And you're normal?" he asked. "I mean, I think I would have been traumatized to find out there had been a spider in my eye. I would have probably developed some abnormal phobia of them too. Bless you for living through something like that and remaining sane."

"Of course," said Bryan with a nod. "It has to be otherwise it won't be that good. But it will be. Since we're off though, Shane and I have plenty of time to think of ideas too. That's the best part."

Carr pulled a face similar to Shane's and said, "I do have an abnormal phobia of them. Don't you remember third year when you and Bryan hexed the sinks in the girls' bathroom to pour spiders and I mysteriously came down with the flu and couldn't leave the Hospital Wing for three days? I was sobbing in my room the whole three days." She shivered, even though the weather was pleasantly warm.

"Of course," she said, I don't really remember much about it except that it was a spider and spiders equal bad. Anyway," she said dismissively, "what about you? Why are you weird?"

"And I apologize profusely for that prank," said Shane. He'd keep a mental note to never bring a spider near her. That story had frightened him enough into at least spare her in that aspect even if he did like to have his fun with her sometimes.

"Why am I weird?" he asked. He wasn't sure what he could possibly tell her. He didn't think he was remotely abnormal nor could he think of any habits or talents. "Well," he began slowly, "I like to sometimes eat my chicken with ice cream. It's really good despite it sounding gross. You should try it sometime."

"Very true." Tristan noted and swigged some of his Butterbeer. He glanced over to the continuing conversation between Shane and Carr, the boy was doing pretty good really. "So do you think he'll win this?" Tristan asked Bryan, inclining his head to the couple talking.

Leslee couldn't do much more than wave at Cassidy, laughing as she did so, before her friend disappeared beneath the water again. Smiling, she turned to the others around the lake, putting names with the faces of some.... and, of course, picking out the hotties.

"I think he has a good chance of winning, yes," nodded Bryan. "Not unless he royally messes things up with her by saying the wrong thing or something of that sort. But Shane isn't at all bad with girls. He can get anyone he wants when he puts his mind to it." Bryan then looked back out at the lake and noticed Leslee there. He waved at her. "Hey," he said, "good of you join us."

Carr shrugged off Shane's apology and said, "I'm okay, now. But I'll destroy you if you even accidentally do anything remotely involving spiders," she warned.

She laughed at him and said, "You're right, that does sound gross. And, I think I'll pass. Although..." she said with a smile, sitting up. "I think I will have another one of those amazing frozen frogs. She pulled one out of the basket and unwrapped it. God bless House Elves.

"So, are we done with Q and A?" she asked him. "Do we move on to another stage in this weird sort of thing we're doing?"

"It's so tempting to try and make him lose y'know." Tristan commented thoughtfully, a mischevious grin on his face. "But I'm feeling like a good friend at the moment. And also that would take effort and movement and I'm more than happy just relaxing here." He decided, grinning over at Leslee and making himself comfortable on the ground.

"Course we do," he said. Shane then picked up Carr, an easy task for him, and promptly threw her into the lake before she could protest. He smirked and laughed as he quickly got a running start before jumping into the lake himself and creating a large splash. Enough to get those near the edge of the lake. Even Bryan got wet.

"Yeah, besides, I want to see how this goes without outside influence or interference," said Bryan turning back to Tristan as he spoke. "It'll be interesting to see if he wins her over and how he does so."

Carr, who'd had her eyes closed, was now in the water and didn't know why. She splashed to the top, sputtering and blowing lake water out of her nose when she surfaced. Her eyebrows were raised as high as they would go in complete shock as she coughed. Finally, when she could breath again, she opened her eyes and looked around to see Shane diving into the water nearby.

"Hah!" she shouted when he surfaced near her and jumped on his back. There was no way jumping on his back was going to make him go under, but she poked him in the back of the knee with one of her feet, hoping to make him lose his balance.

Of course Shane would be the first guy to say something to her. Always the first to hop on the pretty girls. Nice, all the same, though. Hey, she replied, Good of you to notice. But she grinned at her own words and winked at him with one of her blue eyes.

Leslee looked over her shoulder to see Tristan sitting comfortably on the ground as they all were. Noticing his grin at her, she returned it, putting her hand up for a moment in greeting. Hey, you, she called to him.

After sufficient sunning herself out, Rachel shook her still-damp hair, combing through it with her manicured fingers. She sauntered over to the other side of the lake with Carr, Shane, Brian, and motioned for Leslee to come closer to the social circle. "Had fun in the sun, guys?" She asked, referring not only to the males but the females too.

Cassidy went over to where Bryan and Tristan were talking, "hey boys." She said with a smile and put her hand through her wet hair. "Having fun?" SHe asked with a smile the sun warm against her body.
