Vince frowned. "Why not? It's been too long since I last appreciated myself," he said dramatically; Vianna rolled her eyes. "Now, if I was ugly then I'd understand... but I'm not. So it's only fair I celebrate my natural charm."

"Merlin, you sound just like your old conceited self," said Vianna, shaking her head slightly. She smiled faintly, though. "Anyway, are you guys ready for the party tonight?"

Raquel nodded. "I suppose," she said. "I mean, we have classes to get through first today but after the day is over, I'll be ready. I'll change into something a bit more casual than these uniforms and head over." She shrugged. "Hey, if Ava comes before the party starts, what will we do with her? Bring her along or something?" She didn't think it was a good idea though. Being as beautiful as she was, she didn't think the Slytherin boys would hold back on her.

Vianna opened her mouth to reply, but Vince beat her to it. "'Course not!" he said immediately, giving Raquel an incredulous look, as if her suggestion was completely ridiculous and out of the question. "Is Walter coming with her?" he asked, turning to Adam.

Adam shrugged and shook his head. "I don't know."

"Well, we'll find someone to keep an eye on her-- Vi, you didn't wanna go, why don't y--"

"But I have to give Victor his present! It has to be something I give him in person," she said.

ooc: Byee!

"Well, let's hope Walter comes then," said Raquel. "Otherwise, we're going to be in a bit of a dilemma when Ava does arrive." She sighed and shook her head.

Vince sighed. "Worst case scenario I'll just stay and watch over her," he said simply.

Vianna nodded with a smile. "Well, she is your responsibility, so that's a good idea," she said. "And I'm sure Ava would prefer that to being left alone in the common room or something."

"Though I would never leave her alone," said Raquel. "I could always hang back from the party myself and keep her company." She shrugged and took a bite of her cereal.

Vianna smiled, shaking her head slightly at the pair. "You guys are such parents," she said. "By the time you have real children you'll have no difficulty taking care of them 'cause you've already had so much experience with Ava."

"I doubt it," said Vince. "Real children come as babies first. Ava was already seventeen, we didn't have to change diapers, and she doesn't even eat so that didn't help much either."

Raquel nodded in agreement. "Yeah, there's so much more to a real child," she said. "I mean, I suppose Ava is good practice but she's easy to deal with. The only thing not easy is not knowing how to give her energy when she begins to run out of it."

"Yeah..." muttered Vianna thoughtfully, her forehead creasing. "We need to figure out how he does it... Holland, I mean. How he gives the Others energy. They can't depend on him for the rest of their lives! What if something happens to him, then how will the Others survive?!"

"They don't," said Raquel shaking her head. She knew it was a negative thing to be saying but it was the truth. She knew the Others wouldn't survive if Holland was gone. And she doubted Holland had told anyone else how to keep the Others alive. It seemed that it was something only he knew.

Vianna sighed and glanced at Adam, he seemed unaffected by this statement. He probably had already come to that conclusion before. "Well, class is starting in a bit, so we should get going," muttered Vianna, gathering her things rather unenthusiastically.

Raquel nodded and picked up her own things. "Well, Adam, I guess you can hang around," she told him not sure if he would go back to Holland or stick around. She stood up now and started heading out of the Great Hall.
