Hogwarts RPG Name: Charmelia Snape aka Zaza | I would want to get a closer look at that young Snape ... Does anyone know have they already somewhere showed a bigger pic of him? Or are they hiding him, just like they did with Krum
edit: I found the thread where this was announced. There´s the only piccie I managed to find about the guy (it was in another thread, too) and the lad is riding a wooden horse there, lol! http://www.snitchseeker.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=35127&page=1&pp=25&highlight=youn g+snape
Doesn´t look that bad, at least the nose is about the right size And that under the tree pic shows they have put descent hair to his head
So maybe he´ll make a good one, even though I wrote in that thread: Quote: |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fancy Taylor Fourth | I tried to zoom in to those pics they released of the Pensieve scene, but could not go in very far. I would love to see his actual face (besides the one of him riding the horse....lol) to see how they've made him up! |

| I've seen the one with the horsie before, it's lovely! checked for others as well, but so far: nada.
Draco's Dutchess: same here.
there's a transcipt of this interview online and actually, Rowling's answer's a bit different: Quote: |
Well, Salman... your opinion, I would say, is right. But I see that I need to be a little more explicit... and say that Dumbledore is definitely dead
| in other words: she didn't really say anything, at least about Snape's siding. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fancy Taylor Fourth | Bye Oona!
LOL. I think Snape would have, and has, used it on a student, though he tries to keep in under wraps. I don't think that Dumbledore would be too happy. That's why Snape always knows so much! But then again, why didn't he just read Harry's mind when he accused him of stealing from his storage cupboard in GoF? Probably because he didn't think he had to! He thought he was right! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | Doesn't it say in a few of the books that Harry felt that Snape was "reading his mind"? After learning of Legillimens in OotP, I figured those to mean that, that's what Snape was doing when Harry felt that way.
On the topic of Jo's Q&A in NYC, did anyone else see the MSN video clip of the entire night? Watching it instead of reading the transcript, seeing her reactions to some of those questions, was more informative then anything. When I saw Salman Rushdie ask his question her reaction to it made me feel that Snape is still on the good side, but she wasn't going to give the reasons behind it away. So I am finally on the "Snape is a good guy" side of the fence, at least until I read book 7 anyway. lol |

in other words: she didn't really say anything, at least about Snape's siding. | I guessed that That makes it even more clear than it was in the former quote ... "I would say" That´s hilarious ... Quote: | But then again, why didn't he just read Harry's mind when he accused him of stealing from his storage cupboard in GoF? Probably because he didn't think he had to! He thought he was right! |
How do you know he didn´t? You just said DD wouldn´t have been very happy about it, so he couldn´t use it as an evidence. However, the Gillyweed Harry used was stolen from his storage, so he was sort of guilty, even though he didn´t steal it himself ... I have thought about it, too. It isn´t necessarily so, because Snape has those piercing eyes that might give the impression, but it is possible |

| hope this doesn't get too confusing, but copy&paste won't work for me today, and i'm too lazy to type it all...
to J.K.'s "slip": she was with her back against the wall, can't say yes or no. She knows how careful she has to be. So, I would interpret to much into this. Or you could even determine who'll die, by what she said in the end about the dinner-guests.
One less than Molly: you're right: gestures and intonation play a huge part in the meaning of words. I'm with you behind that fence :-)
mind-reading: (though dear Snape wouldn't like that expression) I'm pretty sure, he reads people's mind occasionally, esp when he encouters students who tend to lie a lot, just to know that he's right.
But as it was said before, he can hardly use it as evidence. All other teachers, if not parents, would certainly object. |

I remember after we learned about Snape's Legillimency talents and rereading the series. I would sort of laugh at those parts and be like "He is Harry, I'm sure of it!" Quote: |

But I wouldn't consider Harry guilty, since he didn't know where the Gillyweed had come from. Dobby just gave it to him. |

Still, she managed to have James and Lily play a rather significant part in both Philosopher's Stone (via the Mirror of Erised) and Goblet of Fire (in the Riddle graveyard during Priori Incantatem). Harry's trips into Dumbledore's pensieve have always been significant and I think that in book 7, that's where Dumbledore's going to be the most influential to Harry. Let's not discount the new portrait of him in the Head's office. I don't think Harry's seen the last of that office. Dead is dead in Harry's world, but dead is not necessarily gone, as we've seen. |

| I second evlpez with both: thank god for portable dvd player, and Dumbledore will still appear in book seven. Harry will have to gather further information; we will have to find out why Dumbledore trusted Snape (and I can't imagine a scene where Harry and Snape sit down for an 'honest I'll-tell-you-everything'-discussion over a cup of coffee).
The portait and / or the pensieve hold all the answers. Quote: | But I wouldn't consider Harry guilty, since he didn't know where the Gillyweed had come from. Dobby just gave it to him. | But it's not hard to guess, is it? |

The portait and / or the pensieve hold all the answers. | Which means that Harry will have to go back to Hogwarts!! I think a scene between Harry and Snape like that would be totally awesome! Hehe... No, I think he'll find that out in the Pensieve. I am SO excited to find out what that reason is! Maybe just because I have a theory, and I want to see if I'm right (though I'm probably not!) |

I hope that Harry has to go back to the school. I was sad that he wasn't. And, I do want to find the reason why Dumbledore trusted Snape. I keep waiting for JK to tell us each book, but she never has. *shakes head* I want the 7th book to come out soo much. Find out which side Snape is on, why Dumbledore trusted him, and a whole lot of other stuff. I've read soo many theories about the 7th book. Some of them are stupid, but some of them are really good. *waits for next book to come out* |
