|  SNAPENight was a Success!!
If you've read your SSFC/ARFC Newsletter, you know about SNAPENight and the Hide and Seek promotion we're running. Here's an excerpt: Quote: SNAPENight

If you are familiar with our chatroom (or any IRC chat) and want to help us host the party by helping moderate games and hand out virtual snacks and prizes, please PM evlpez ASAP!
HIDE & SEEK
To help promote the chat party, keep your eyes open and you might come across a SnapeNight banner first posted by evlpez. If you find it, post it somewhere else and then announce in the Hide & Seek Thread in Spinner’s End to tell us where you found it and that you’ve hidden it again for others to find. Let the game begin!

Wow! By all accounts, SNAPENight was a huge success!
I would first like to thank our volunteer planners and hostesses, Linda, Nessie, Rhea, Nikki and Dru! They worked hard to bring you SNAPENight and because of them, such a party is possible for all SSers and all fan clubs in future. It can be done and they gave us the first one! WOOHOOO!!!
Secondly, there was some pretty fierce competition at our party, and a couple of people came out winners! (I mean, you're ALL Winners, but they rocked the games!)

Uno turned out to be such awesome fun I think we should definitely include it in our next party, and I would love nothing more than to claim it and host it again!
Let's see, what other ideas can we use? Definitely keep the trivia, as I think it proved to be hugely successful.
Maybe we could also get the scavenger hunt going again, have the signature hidden before the event begins then see who is the first person to locate it? But that wouldn't last every long, we need something better than that. What about if we have a chat going where we discuss the club and let people make their suggestions about what they would like to see going on, and what things would make them a more active member or if they're not members, entice them into joining? I think that might be something worth exploring.
I loved the event! I didn't get to do much after the Uno conked out, but I would definitely say it was a huge success and definitely worthy of repeating. | |
