I have not been here in a week so what is going on other than the competition? I have noticed that the other fan clubs are trying to get forums started are we going to do the same? I hope that Snape will have his own forum as well. A place to see fanfics and fanart. Also a place to chat about Snape and what we think will happen to him next and to just talk about the old potions master.

Yeah, I think the club has to be active enough to earn its own forum.

Not sure but I bet it will be answered in the next book. I think there is more to Snape than we realize. I know there is the mysterious question out there that some "still" believe that Snape is indeed a vampire and I have wondered the same myself but the thing is that he goes out into the sun, he does not seem to want to drink the blood of the young kids around him...so what is up with the pale skin and not liking the sun very much (being down in the dungeons or boarding the windows up in POA)?

Okay here is another question to this. In POA, Snape tries to get the class to understand that Lupin is a werewolf by submitting the paper for them to write, but did anyone notice that later on in the book, Lupin backfires and submits a paper for the students to write on Vampires?? It is a small little sentence that Nevile talks about while going to the library and talking to Harry. I had seen someone talking about it and had to check it out myself. I know that JK works her magic on the small things in her books which leads me to believe, just a tiny tiny bit that Snape could be part vampire. *hides behind the couch so that no one will throw the book at her*

I've read loads of theories about Snape being a vampire... I was wondering if anyone would bring up the subject.

I personally do not believe he's a vampire or part vampire, but there are some hints that could lead the readers to believe he is one. The vampire essay thing is a very good example. Also, JK often compares Snape to a bat in the books. Eheh. How weird.

My thoughts exactly. There are pros and cons to this theory that drive me almost crazy...LOL.

Vampires have the pale skin and are known to have greasy hair, but they cannot withstand daylight and they do not grow old.

Snape on the other hand grows up but still does not explain his pale skin and bat like features. Just a question to ponder over and to see what everyone says.

LOL He could be some sort of hybrid vampire.... Like in Underworld, the half vampire half werewolf thang. I think I'd like him more if he was a vampire, simply because they're so smexy!!!!!!! But if he wasn't I'd still luff him because he's uber cool.

the semi-vampire theory does make a tad bit of sense lol. he is pale and seems to remain out of the sun alot.... i cant seem to recall too many parts where he is actually outside in the sunlight, but mayhaps thats just me and my bad memory lol. this is definately a path that JKR could totally take.... but i dont think id like that....

Actually you just helped me to think of something, the only time I have ever noted Snape being outside was during Occlumency scenes when Harry was being nosey and watched his father and Sirius playing around with Snape and showing off in front of Lily down by the lake.

Jk rowling has actually answered the theory of Snape being a vampire, she said he isnt a vampire, but I also doubt he has the teeniest of vampire blood in him. He was able to watch and referee the quidditch matches in philosophers stone. I think the whole having a office in the dungeons is his way of intimidating people.

Yeah, but I still find it strange that JK hasn't created a vampire character yet. We've seen giants, werewolves, goblins and lots of other creatures, but no vampires, even though she often mentions them in the books. I'm guessing we'll see a vampire in book 7.

JK Rowling replies -> Erm... I don't think so.

She never came out and asked is Snape a Vampire...that is why there is something more to it I believe. I don't believe him to be a full vampire in anyway but there are several characterists that lead to it....just another thought in the post here.

Of course..Sanpe is not a vampire..Weird, who thought that??? Any way, Snape loves to be alone most of the time. Whe he was teenager, I think in his memories we didn't see him with friends...May be cause he was always alone whe he was child..his Dad shouting and his mom crying. May be no one cared about him or sit with him so he grow lonely.

Yeah I must confess the the idea of Snape being a vampire had ocurred me too, cuz I read a fanfic of Snape being a vampire (the rest of the story was pretty crazy, he Hermione, allone in the dungeons pretty odd story) but in my opinion he had a tuff childhood, no one seemed to care if he was afraid of his parents discussions, and I think all of us agree that seeing mum and dad "fighting" isnt nice.

I have not been here in a while. I will go and play a round or two for Snape since he is the original man.

They do have a vampire, the new minister of magic in HBP. At least I thought he was?? But he wasn't like majorly everywhere. Anyhoo, I'd like it if he was like half or something. Like maybe his mother was one or his father and somehow passed it down. XD Now I'm just pulling stuff outta my butt.
Of course, I think Draco is a werewolf, so I like it when the character's have some funky beast in them.
