There's more evidence of him being on the good side - but quite frankly, as there is evidence for each - JK could make it go either way...

I don't know I hope he isn't a deatheater. Don't get me wrong I heart the deatheaters I just don't want Snape to get caught.

Yeah that's a good point - it's unlikely that all the death eaters are caught - but if any death eaters get caught - snape's gonna be one of them OK I'm back to ing for the good side... for now...

I am new at this fan site so happy to be here. I would live in Harry Potter universe if it was real. I believe that Snape had feelings for Lily and I hope they were friends if anyone needed a friend at Hogwarts it was Snape.

I am a firm believer that Snape didnt love Lily, I think it was the other way around, I think Lily loved Snape aswell as James. Snape had friends, he hanged around with those slytherins who nearly all became death eaters.

Hmm. Interesting theory, I haven't heard that often. I personally support the idea that Snape loved Lily...

well Jk rowling said that Snape has been loved, but I feel that if he ever loved anyone it would be Narcissa not Lily, I think his predjuduces would be put first judging how he treats Hermione. Though Snape is such a spiteful bitter, petty sadistic and harsh man it seems strange for us to be sitting here discussing his love life lol.

No, I don't really think it's strange to discuss who he loved; Snape's character goes beyond the harshness on top. Love (as DD has drilled into our heads waaaaay to often) is a crucial part of the series. As for prejudices- Has he ever said anything against Lily to Harry? No. Yet, he tortures Harry with bad memories of James.

Were they in school together though? We know Lucius was in school before the Marauders.

Well Narcissa was born in 1955 and Snape was born in 1959/60 so they coul've been to school together..

Which would make Narcissa younger than Lucius. Not that that's abnormal. I think we saw perhaps a hint of S/N in HBP and I think she will hide him. But I don't think there was anything going on at school.

I think you're right.. I don't think that is was a girl we've never heard of, if Sirius was loved at school.. I don't think it could be Lilly.. that would just be weird...

Jk rowling says Snape HAS been loved which makes him even more culpable than Voldemort even who has never.
I think Snape puts his prejudices before things on the way he treats hermione because she is a smart student and instead of praising her he puts her down....but that could be because shes in a different house.
I think Snape is on Voldemorts side and if he loves Narcissa than surely he would rather be on the Death Eater's side. Also when Jk Rolwing was asked in the interview with Emerson and Mellissa from leaky and mugglenet is snape evil she said something about fans clinging on to some desperate hope.

Sirius was a ladies man. He had many. Probably Lily too, at one point. Yeah she does. Which is kind of why I think that.

I think he loved in the past but not now. He's too bitter. But I see Narcissa changing sides. I can't see Lucius or Draco living for long.

But she also refused to answer the question. She left soo many hints, that it isn't desparate. She left hints either way so now it's down to her to show us in book 7 what the truth is.

I think Snape is the missing link between Harry and Voldemort. They have a similar background; they are half-bloods and had a difficult childhood. Harry turned out to be a good person while Tom joined the dark side, and we don't really know about Snape yet. He could be good or evil, he's in the middle. Do you think that might have a significance in book 7?

maybe it will because snape is all mysterious and thing so its hard to tell.
