All about Love

Severus Snape and the question if he would be able to love - or even more intriguing: if someone would be able to love him - have triggered discussions from the beginning. The SSFC Sponsor and our Go-Go President expressed their desire to discuss this particular matter with you. Even though the focus lies for one on Snape and Ships in general while the second focuses on Snape / Lily in particular I think it safe to discuss both topics in one thread.

Jan wonders what Ship Snape would be sailing if at all:
"I'd like to see one thread for discussing "Shipping Snape". We could talk about the possibilities of Snape/Lily, Snape/Pince and any other ship. Should Snape be shipped? How likely is it that he has ever loved or been loved, and is it in his nature to pursue such a notion?

Here are the thoughts , currently tormenting Dru with sleepless nights:
"Okay, this was just mentioned as a joke in the first discussion, but now that I think about it, it could have had a lot of implications for the wizarding world! What would happen if Lily and Severus had ended up together, gotten married, and had children? Would Severus have become a Death Eater? What would the world be like without Harry Potter? Would Voldemort still be around? Would Neville be "the Chosen One?

Snape, Lily and Harry Severus Snape? Sounds like a wierd family. All the same, I still like the Lily/Snape ship. And I think Snape WOULD give up being a Death Eater for her. If he gave up being one just to SAVE her, he would give up being one to marry her.

I think if Lily had married him he wouldnt have become a DE in the first place, because he woulnt have been lonely and frustrated with only DEs as friends.
If things had been that way the whole plot of HP wouldnt have been possible. Without the Chosen One and the spy Voldie would probably have taken over the world.
