Samantha Rose Magical Education | Well, I'm sure we're all going to cry when Snape dies in Deathly Hallows, but I know you mean movies that Alan has already made, of course, Jan! To be honest, most of the films I've seen with Alan have been action films, Die Hard, Robin Hood and the Prince of Thieves, that sort of thing. I vow to broaden my horizon very soon, I've heard he has played many, many sensitive characters, and quite well. I've love to hear some recommendations from some of you who have seen these films! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Cynder Mortiferus Nightgale (AKA: Magnus) | What's your favorite Rickman Role besides Snape? I really rather liked him as Metatron in Dogma and as the Sheriff in Robin Hood – hilarious! And... as shifty-Harry in Love Actually (which is totally ace) and I’m sure I’m going to love him as Alex in Snow Cake when I get to see it, as straight from Rickman, it’s the closest character to him he’s ever played thus far. What's your favorite Rickman line from any movie? Its actually one from which I’ve not yet seen (Dark Harbor), and this is it. It just makes sense and strikes so true! Which, if any, Alan Rickman film(s) made you cry? None yet. I have a feeling I might if I eventually get to see Snow Cake though. Just seems like one of those type of movies... Anyhow, I’m probably going to have to edit this when I FINALLY get my Region 1 DVDs of Dark Harbor, Sense and Sensibility and An Awfully Big Adventure because they sound awesome and like they’ll make this list XD. Mmm... I just watched one of his earlier and coincidentally rare movies on youtube, Closet Land. THIS movie made my skin crawl, and movies usually never have that effect on me – at all (not even the SAW ones), and this film is just hard proof that Alan can really play any kind of character anyone can dream up. This movie is also, in my opinion, THE best psychological thriller that’s ever been made within the last two decades because it had two people that could really act and it was focused on the story matter/plot rather than special effects and useless crap that chokes movies of today, AND it leaves some mystery in the end for speculation. Really, really recommend this one for those who can handle it (in other words, mature teens or adults ) and for those who enjoy deeper, non-fluff stuff...
*Goes off to wait impatiently for my DVDs now...* |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Yuki Iwada Sixth Year | (sorry I have been dead for a while I had computer problems.) What's your favorite Rickman Role besides Snape?
I agree with Ozzy, Metatron was hilarious. He did so well as that character. But I think that all of Alan Rickman's roles are great. He can change so well.
Has anyone seen Sweeny Todd yet? I heard he sings in it... I want to see it just for that. =P |

Samantha Rose Magical Education | I loved Alan in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves when he played the Sheriff of Nottingham. He played the role so well, plus looked super fine!
I haven't seen Sweeney Todd yet. I want to see it really badly! Hopefully soon. |

| Alan Fans! Don't forget that we're still looking for ARFC Officers. There is a lot of stuff to do around here to support the club and Alan and we need more people to help get it done. Please apply ASAP by e-mailing SSAlanRickmanFC@gmail.com with your application. At the very least let us know what your skills are, what kind of job you'd like to do and what you'd like to see happen in our club (events or projects). THE ARFC NEEDS YOU. I promise you a smooch from Alan*
in return for your comittment to our club. *Said smooch may be really a virtual smooch from a reasonably hand-drawn facsimile of Alan Rickman, not an actual smooch from the real flesh and blood actual Alan Rickman. Smooches are not guaranteed available in all locations and to all applicants. |

But anyway
I can't wait to see Sweeny Todd...between grad school and working holiday retail I didn't get a chance to see it in theatres
One of my fave Alan roles of all time is of him as Phil Allen in 'Blow Dry'...I LOVE that movie...and I think Alan really played the part superbly...though he plays every part superbly *loves Alan* |

Madison Myers Magical Transportation | Okay! I know that this fan club is only a thread but I wanted to post this in here so that Alan's fan club would have the chance to help out as well. If you have any questions, feel free to ask either myself or Jan (evlpez). Have fun everyone! Quote:
We, the Fan Club Mods are back once more seeking help from all fan clubs. What we are in search off are questions produced by you, the members, taken from the Harry Potter characters and actors within the movies and the books. All fan clubs do not have to participate but it would be a fun thing to start and get members involved in and get them active once more.
The fan clubs can come up with as many questions about their character or actor as they can, the more the better. Also, try and keep answers short, but if it is something that is hard to spell or is slightly longer than usual, create a tip, or ‘Tips’, that would help someone along, such as: Quote: |

Tip: .. ...k. .. ... ...n.
Tip: .. ....s .. ... ....k | With the actors, let’s keep their questions geared towards the Harry Potter movies only, like something that happened on the set or something they did differently in the movies other than the books.
With the fan clubs that have forums, the presidents or sponsors are more than welcome to create a new thread for everyone to post in. Please keep it spam free as we will be using the questions elsewhere on the site and a clean thread is easier to work with than a dirty one. Once you believe to have enough questions and are ready to turn them in, please send them to me, LadyNerd, and I will take care of them and get them to the proper place for more fun and excitement. - Try and have as many short answers as possible so that it makes it easier on the members who are playing to type in the answers. If it is something that is slightly long or hard speller, create tips such as this:
- With actors, please keep their questions pertaining to the Harry Potter movies only, whether it is something that happened on the set or something that was different from books to movie

Hogwarts RPG Name: Lizzy | I just watched Snow Cake today... LOVED IT for 2 big reasons: 1) The film was actually good, against my expectations! Sad, beautiful story. 2) Eye candy in almost every single scene!!! If you feel voyeuristic towards Alan, wishing to eye him just doing random things (walking the dog, staring at the sky, sulking, ordering food on a MacDonalds drive-thru, jumping up and down on a trampolin) that's the movie for ya. I know I'll watch it again and again, just to see that loving face of his. I imagine that he looks, acts and talks pretty much like himself (the actor) here.
