The doors of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes first opened in the summer of 1996, sparking the reality of what had been a dream for the Weasley twins. In the years since then, the laughter has continued and the bell above the door rings consistently in the busy times. The bright store has traded hands between a handful of shopkeepers, but the legacy of the Weasley twins continues through the light and laughter in the air at any moment of the day.
Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes sells a range of items, separated into different areas of the store over two floors. You’ll find a myriad of unorganised displays in the aisles enticing shoppers to buy both tricks and treats such as punching telescopes, canary creams and anti-gravity hats. In recent decades, the store has expanded their range of stock and now sells the very objects from your child’s wildest dreams.. toys and forever floating balloons! It’s not easy to miss, but on the right of the second floor is a violently pink area full of WonderWitch products. The display here is full of bright pink flowers and confetti surrounding the stock of love potions and other items. Just a few footsteps away is the Pygmy Puff area where you can select a new friend in all shades of pink and purple with a matching cage!
As you reach the back of the store, you’ll find the queue for the counter where the shopkeeper will get you served as quick as they can. If you were looking for the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes brand of fireworks, then here’s where to come as they are stored behind the counter on the highest of shelves. Safety first, folks.

Charlie laughed to himself then roamed around the shop some more. That was when he came up on some guy looking at these poof balls of fur. "What are those?!" he asked, not being able to help himself. He'd probably seem like an idiot for not knowing, but whatever. "They look like real, living and breathing cotton balls!" Should he pick one up? Did they bite or something?

Turning his gaze in the other boy’s direction noting now that he was a few years younger than Cole. Maybe he wasn’t from around here or had never seen a puff before? It was possible. He hadn’t seen an owl until one delivered an issue of the prophet to his father when he was three.
Pulling one hand through his blond hair Cole gestured with the other as he explained. "Those plushy furballs are called pygmy puffs. They are actually rated with XX as beasts by the ministry, but they are pretty much harmless." Most creatures had teeth though so he figured puffs had some too. Leaning over the area fence Cole picked up a very pink furball and started to gently stroke it over the back hearing it starting to hum. Glancing sideways at the other boy again he asked "Are you getting yourself a pygmy puff too? I’m Cole by the way."

Yes, pygmy puffs seemed like a very girly type of creature hence why Cole was buying one for his sister. It seemed like a safe choice over say a ferret or something since they we're not going to Hogwarts this term. The french might have another view on allowed pets. Sheesh the exclamation that followed out of the blue from Charlie about crups left Cole momentarily speechless since he had been thinking about his sister. Finding himself quickly Cole pointed out. "They have a nice owl shop in the north side of the alley called Eeylops Owl Emporion if you want to buy an owl today." Unless Charlie preferred going to the Magical Menagerie instead since they sold owls too.
Cole wasn't sure where to put the pygmy puff he had chosen, he just knew that he was tired of holding it. Placing it on his shoulder Cole answered Charlie's question quietly looking steadily at the younger boy. "We can't go to Hogwarts, the castle isn't safe. It was overtaken by a super scary mist last year. It hasn't been removed yet from what my father has been informed." Cole left out the part about two student's disappearing/dying since he didn't want to scare Charlie too much.
Putting on a smile he lead the way over to the edible pranks section. Picking up a pack of puking pastilles and a pack of fainting fancy's Cole asked "What's your favourite of these pranks Charlie? Mine is the fainting fancy's. They always get such a reaction." Especially when someone fainted in the middle of eating.

Cecelia had been rambling about school from the moment she'd met up with her best friend, so excited to fill her in on everything in person. There was that extra layer of enthusiasm, too, because THIS year, Catherine was going to get to go to school WITH her! That was going to make things even better, did she KNOW? "I wonder what kinds of creatures we'll meet at Hogwarts! I bet they'll be nicer to us than the gargoyles. I bet they'll like us a WHOLE bunch."
Pausing just inside the entryway of WWW's, the blonde glanced at her companion and offered a grin. "What should we look at first?" She was drawn to the fireworks, but something told her Catherine would try and talk her out of playing around with those.

Merlin. Cecelia's first year at a magical secondary school sounded... unusual, to say the least. Catherine didn't know such chaos was even allowed to happen at a school. "Were they nice once you got to know them?" Or did Cecelia mean cute just to look at? Though... gargoyles being physically cute wasn't something Catherine could really imagine. They were all bound to be ugly, that was the point of a gargoyle, was it not?
Her best friend's logic was a good one. Catherine also thought that it was more likely the creatures and portraits and everything within Hogwarts Castle would like them, at least more than the French school things. They were all from the same culture, after all, so they were all used to the way the British acted. "I think so too, especially since they can just leave the school if they don't like it there, can't they? I mean..." The brunette thought for a bit before carrying on. "They can make it known to the professors and Headmaster that they are unhappy and they would do something about it." Surely, as that was what adults did. They sorted things out.
What should they go look at first? Perhaps something that was not in that shop? That was Catherine's first thoughts, but she knew that was probably her best friend's favourite shop or something along those lines. "Anything but those things that snap at you." Were those notebooks? Or small boxes or teacups? Catherine didn't know, but those things didn't sound like anything she'd like to be near to or have near her belongings.

Rowan couldn't believe it. He was finally old enough to go around Diagon Alley on his own! Of course, his parents had to be somewhat closeby. But still. He felt like a man, all independent and what not. And this man's first stop? Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, of course.
The twelve year old entered the shop, beaming at the sight of all the fireworks and toys before him. He began wandering around, laughing at the bubbling love potions and jumping at all the little trick toys that popped out at him. Finally, he came upon what he had originally came here for... Pygmy Puffs! He scooped up an adorable purple one, giggling to himself. It was so cuuuuute! He really hoped his mum would let him get one this year...

Rowan nearly dropped the pygmy puff as a girl approached him and pointed out the adorable creature in his hands. He chuckled, giving the stranger a nod. "Isn't it?" he sighed. He wanted one SO BAAAAAD. Although, his mum would definitely not allow it. In fact, he was still trying to convince her to let him get any pet to bring to Hogwarts. But alas, she was very hard to persuade with that kind of thing. As he realized he was lost in thought, he quickly looked back at the girl. "You wanna hold it?" the boy offered, extending the pygmy puff towards her. The Hufflepuff studied the girl, wondering if he had seen her before. She looked about his age, so she must be from Hogwarts.

Possibly not as horrible as they could've been, but that didn't mean they were exactly nice. Noted. Never to speak to the Beauxbatons' gargoyles if she ever went there. Dogs? Hm. Maybe she could get on board with them... but... probably not. "I bet they don't lick people, though." More like spit water at people. You know, being gargoyles and all. Shrug.
"No, it wouldn't." Not fair at all if they were made to stay where they didn't want to stay. Catherine herself would absolutely hate if that ever happened to her. Dealing with people and things she didn't want to? No, thank you. She'd rather be out of there as soon as possible.
But there was a reason why she was in that shop even though she wasn't exactly a fan: her best friend was. She supposed she could make an effort for Cecelia. Especially as they had spent basically the entirety of last year apart. So this young Mordaunt didn't protest when the blonde pulled her along towards the very pink area of the shop. The very first thing that caught her attention there was the little fluffy creatures. "Aw, they're cute." Catherine said, approaching the Pygmy Puffs and looking at them for a few seconds before reaching out with her index finger and stroking one. Why were they in a more 'grownup' area of the shop, though? She was sure kids could have them too. "What's so grownup about having a Pygmy Puff? Even Scarl-" The girl stopped and shook her head as she was about to use her sister as an example, only to realise mid-sentence that no, Scarlett would not be able to look after a Pygmy Puff properly. But that didn't mean children in general couldn't. It was mainly her mental sister. "Never mind." Her gaze then fell upon a 'Love Potion' vial. "What do you think this really does?" The brunette asked Cecelia, since this couldn't really be a Love Potion as it was being sold at a joke shop. She leaned closer to have a better look and try to read the label.

Alright, so he would be the first to admit he was not a practical joker. Or really ANY type of joker but... seeing a magical prank store had just been too interesting too pass up on exploring. Would he buy anything? Unlikely. But that didn't mean he couldn't check the shelves and just for curiosity sake and see what type of things there were around.
And who knows, maybe if he found something too good to pass up he could grab it and try it on Noah. Because for sure no one would expect something to come from Evan, so he would have the full element of surprise!
He was currently looking at the shelves for Tricks and equipment when he noticed something titled U-NO-POO. He picked it up to look at it, wrinkling his nose slightly. "Is this just to give someone a medical condition?" That didn't seem like it would be very funny.

This wasn't a part of the official school shopping trip, but it was well deserved and about time. Emmerson had been as behaved as she could convince herself to be through the book shopping and her mother had promised her she could claim anything from the joke shop as a reward. "Mini dragons!!" Emm squealed. They were perfect for what she'd need and she bet if she asked nice enough, her aunt Jessa would animate it for her like she did the cats and the dolls. Her own mini dragon she could convince everyone was real by the time all the enchantments were anchored on it.
The little girl paused at the shelf, wondering which one would look the coolest. Her mind was already racing with all the modifications she would ask to have added.
Where had her mother gone off to? She now knew what she wanted.

Bernie had passed Weasley's Wizard Wheezes many-a-time, but despite her reptuation for...er, trouble, she didn't necessarily need any additional help making it.
She was feeling buoyant today, though, and full of promise for the next year. She was pretty sure she was off probation AND she was about to be basically an upperclassman, so, she figured she deserved a treat. Or two. Or six. And she had to hurry before her parents noticed her missing again and came in here to find her. She didn't need them to see all the amazing tricks and toys available to wizards!!! That would ruin all her plans!

Emm had only just begun reaching up to get a mini dragon when she felt an elbow by her armpit--short child problems. Was that the way of it? Knocking into small people because you were bigger? Without missing a beat, Emmerson jammed her hands forward, shoving the entire display over. It caused a loud clatter as the metal frame hit the floor and all its items went scrambling with it.
Not to be outdone by her little display, Emmerson threw herself to the floor with the falling shelf, managing to land with her legs splayed and her knees bent.

Emmerson watched the girl walk over to another display. Why she wanted to make this a bigger scene was beyond her but Emmerson was fine playing along. The 11 year old crawled along the floor, flopping down by the girl's legs. The hat did not make her invisible, she could still see her just fine.
And the wailing began once more, her face quickly becoming flooded.
Emmerson wrapped her arm around the older girl's leg, her face now soaked with tears while she screamed of the pain and agony she was in. Everything hurt and there wasn't a soul who could tell her otherwise. "Owww, oooooowwwwwwwww. You hurt me." She cried, looking up at hat girl. "That wasn't nice. OoowwwwWWwwWWwwww. I want my mummyyyyy. OOOoooOOOWWWWwwwWWwww!!"

This was strictly a business trip. He had a list of supplies and that's what he was sticking to. Alexander was good at staying on task, that's why he gave himself this job and gave Benji the easy stuff. If you want to do something right, you've gotta do it yourself. That's something he's had to learn the hard way over the years.
Of course the moment he walked through the doors, it all went out the window. The plan, that is. Because as soon as he began wandering the aisles, his mind started wandering too. A little deviation wouldn't be the end of the world, would it?
He grabbed one of the anti-gravity hats off the shelf and sat it on his head. Maybe he could find a way to spare some change for one of these. Floating felt great.

There was just something about the bright orange shop that made the youngest of the Luck twins feel out of place. Maybe it was the bell that rang as she entered or the loud children running around and screaming in excitement but she just didn’t quite fit in. Usually, it was the call of turning pages and silence that called her, especially with Flourish and Blott’s so easily accessible in Diagon Alley and yet, here she was walking into the joke shop. Still, it wasn’t all that often that she actually got to spend time in London so when she did, exploring and going to new places and shops was always close to the top of her list and who knew, maybe she’d even find something in there that she wanted.
As she walked in, it was easy to see why everyone seemed to love the joke shop though. With shelves and shelves of mischievous gadgets and gizmos and heaps and mounds of zooming and zany treats, it was a jokester’s paradise. It even brought a smile to her as the she wandered around, her legs the only thing guiding her.
It was a surprise to her then when she actually spotted something that she might actually want…a Miniature Dragon! Stopping, her eyes lingered on the different breeds and how they all interacted with each other in amazement. She needed to take one home with her! She knew why they couldn’t keep a real dragon in their shop but her father never said anything about not keeping a miniature one…

Ingrid had her heart set on the miniature Dragons now but the question was, would her father actually let her keep one in her room? “Oh, I really don’t know!” , she sighed turning to the older boy now as he started talking to her. He’d asked the one question that she didn’t really know the answer to. “I really like them all but I just…I don’t know. Do you know how hard they are to look after?” , her eyes now boring into the older boys as though she were trying to drag the answers out of him by herself. If he did, maybe then she could actually pick. After all, maybe a dragon like the Hungarian Horntail was more hard work than something like the Ironbelly or the Longhorn. “Dragons are one of my favourite magical creatures! Although, I’m not sure if they make great pets” , she continued, biting her bottom lip now as her eyes turned back to small, savage creatures. [/B]

Last time Eimear had been to Diagon Alley, she hadn't gone to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. This time, however, it was close to the top of her list of shops to visit. It was one that her friends and classmates raved about, and she was immensely curious to check it out for herself.
The little brunette pushed open the door, causing a bell to ring above her head... The first thing she noticed was the sound of laughter all around her. Friends and children with their parents were all browsing the store with huge smiles on their faces. But there was a lot to take in and, honestly, the layout was a little... random, so she wasn't sure where exactly to start. In the end, she decided to pick any aisle and start there.
After browsing just a few shelves, she decided that she wasn't sure what to make of a lot of the products. Her nose wrinkled as she looked at something called Frog Spawn Soap, which was next to another product called Belch Powder. They seemed... disgusting, to be completely honest, very childish, and simply unimaginative. There were some products that did intrigue her, though. The nose-biting teacups were oddly cute... and the anti-gravity hats didn't seem bad. In fact, she silently observed as a boy tried one on. It seemed... almost fun.

Alex did his best moonwalk to commemorate the moment. As long as Benji wasn't around to make fun, he'd soak in it for a moment or two. Not terribly long though because he still had a list to get through. Speaking of which, he reached his hand into his pocket to check with his notebook. Maybe if he shifted around a few numbers here and there he could actually make this work. They could have PLENTY need for an anti-gravity hat. He could likely come up with a few of these on the spot too, if Benji wasn't as understanding.
It was only when he looked up from his list, that he noticed he was being watched. "Take a picture. It'll last longer."
How long had she been watching him anyway? Alex took the hat off his head, landing on his two feet again. "Catch," he warned his stalker before tossing the hat over to her much like a frisbee. There were plenty still in stock, if that was her worry.

The hat was DEFINITELY working. Bernie was feeling very confident in it and was currently looking for a mirror to check herself out in when she felt...the...er... snake grabbing her leg. Never mind, it was a kid. That snot-nosed whiney one from earlier.
This was exactly like dealing with Pippa. Exactly. Spoiled, small, and loud. Yup.
"Gerofffffffff me," Bernie whined right back at her, even though she wasn't crying like a big baby like miss thing here. "I didn't hurt you. I tried to help you. You probably got hit on the head by one of the things you knocked off the shelves, didn't you?"
Bernie clucked and looked around for another hat, maybe one she could jam on her leg so the girl couldn't see it and would have to let go of her.
"I don't know your mummy, SORRY!" She wasn't, and started edging off, dragging her leg and the girl attached to it like a pirate would drag its peg leg. "You know, no one's buying your pathetic act." Bernie casually looked around, spotted more of the feathery Headless Hats, and started piling them on the girl in the hopes that they'd make her disappear too. Honestly, it was going to take a lot of them to make her go away, she thought. They were such small hats. "No one's going to even be able to see you in a sec. They'll just think you're like, Moaning Myrtle's sister or something."
Honestly, Bernie hadn't heard so much cryyyyyyyying since Myrtle had crashed Divinations last year. She was proud of herself for remembering that class.
