Sugarplum's Sweet Shop https://i.postimg.cc/4yK4zJxp/sugarp...op-banner3.jpg Every child in Wizarding Britain knows that Sugarplum's is the place to be. You can smell the sticky sweetness and bursts of flavour as soon as you walk through the door, the little candy themed bell, enchanted to transform into a different type of candy every hour, will tinkle merrily to announce your arrival, but we won't be surprised if you don't notice it, after all your eyes have a rainbow of delectable sweets to feast on. |
Victoria shook off the chill as she walked through the doors to one of her favorite places in the alley. She loved sweet things and she made it a point to keep some candies on her counter. Looking around she spotted her favorite... fudge. With a few quick steps she got to the display looking over the choices trying to decide what it would be that she would have for the day. She had gotten chocolate last time and ended up giving it away because it was wayyy too much for her. She scooted herself closer examining the displays making a checklist of which ones she had already had in her head. |
Sarah ~ It was summer and children were just EVERYWHERE, running around and making noises and generally just being...children. It made one of Zia's nerves twitch. She didn't not like children. In fact, in her field of work, she was constantly interacting with children. It was just that she preferred them screaming and crying over a boo-boo and not...stomping and throwing tantrums over their parents disallowing them to overindulge in candy. Crying over a real injury was much acceptable than crying over candy. If she ever had children of her own, she was going to make sure they knew the difference. The healer hitched her handbag higher on her shoulder as she sauntered past the children. As much as she wanted to go grab a glass of wine right now, she had certain priorities also known as buying her monthly supplies of assorted candies. Yes, she had a sweet tooth, and no, it was something she rather not disclose to anyone else. Zianna Jean Castell didn't like candies. Nope. |

But he still wasn’t used to this candy. He picked up Toothflossing Stringmints. ”Toothflossing Stringmints? What in the world. Looking over the box turning it over and over in his hand. Was this like tooth floss? Who knew? Even in a world of magic that he knew, things were weird sometimes. |

In the middle of her .... Blink. Did she just...Merlin, she did. She just casually told a stranger that she didn't brush her teeth for three STRAIGHT days! How humiliating! |
Quote:
…. Maybe he didn’t realize that he had spoken out loud. He was surprised that he had gotten a response. And that response. He held back a chuckle. Not wanting to embarrass her. Should just act like he didn’t hear her. That was the safe bet, right. ”Are they really minty?” Looking over the packaging again then looking up the woman who responded to his statement. It looked like she did have nice pearly white teeth so maybe it really did work. |

Noticing that the stranger had somehow focused in on her mouth, on her teeth (that she once went three days not brushing), Zia shut it promptly and cleared her throat before opening it again to answer him. "As a matter of fact, yes." She waved her hand dismissively at the product, then went on in an attempt to save face, "And about what I said earlier, I...brushed my teeth today." Wait, what? |
Philippa ^^ Apart from the wand shop, this had to be Lucas's second - maybe third but shh - favourite shop to be in. Look at all the sweets! And there was always something new in here which was a little out of his pocket money that Mama gave but that was okay because he could still LOOK, right? Right. And he was staying as far away from those gumball machines as possible. Last time he went anywhere near them, the whole thing got stuck and he had to try and reach in to get his gumball out - which, by the way, he DID pay for so..... He shook his head, as if shaking the thoughts away, and looked over at the nearby display which had...... uh...... cockroach clusters?! What?! He picked one up - out of curiosity more than anything else - and started examining it. He scrunched up his nose as he looked veeeeery closely at it and then gave it a great big sniff. Did people actually EAT these?! ...... Blegh! Disgusting! |

”You have nice teeth.” What? Why did he say that? Smooth move Watts real smooth. Now he was the one blushing. Thankfully that was not noticable. Turning back to the shelves he took a few more boxes, big family and all. Everyone got a box. This has gone from awkward to awwwkwarrrd in like point two seconds. |

With a snort!chuckle, she she turned back to her own shopping as well but not before returning the favor. "Thanks. You have a nice nose." That sounded awkward as hell but the healer found it oddly endearing. Almost as endearing as the sugar quills she was getting a handful of too. |
froooom the other shop Quote:
Not when they were about to enter the Sweets Shop, anyway. Nodding slowly, Cam opened the door to the shop and let Nat go in first. "Right." It was then that he remembered the two of them WERE in fact twins. There weren't a lot of occasions where Cam saw similarities but this was definitely one of those moments. "Of course we'll live together then." He nudged her, smiling genuinely. Liam hadn't mentioned it but...it didn't really come as a surprise to him. And he could definitely picture himself living with Nat so that worked out well. |
"L is for the way you look at me O is for the only one I see V is very, very extraordinary E is even more than anyone that you adore can Love is all that I can give to you Love is more than just a game for two Two in love can make it Take my heart and please don't break it Love was made for me and you" https://i.postimg.cc/jSg48dRR/Darej-Damian.jpg Darej Patterson (Charely Potter) & Damien Anderson-Belfort (nicole black) Ink your name on my heart: |
Darej didn't mind the romance, it was what he signed up for after all. The message and meeting place was... a little on the cringe side of loving. He wondered if his date would feel the same and they'd have something to talk about. At least they'd be making fudge, there was never any downside to having food and sweets. Something to keep them busy and having fun was what he liked. Darej arrived near closing time and it appeared some of the staff were already waiting on him. Now it would be his date next to follow. Hmm.. he looked around to see where they were. |
Damien Anderson-Belfort was excited. Cautious, but excited. He hadn't been on a date in... a very long time and while he felt rusty, the former Gryffindor also felt kinda hopeful. It helped that he'd woken up today with a serious craving for some sweets. It had taken a lot of restraint to keep from pulling on a suit, going instead for a well-tailored Tom Ford dress shirt, Gucci dress pants, a pair of Farragamo shoes and a moncler coat to top it off. Damien looked like money, because he was money. and this money was... uh, er, late. Damien had lost track of time (clearly) but he was rushing through Diagon now as fast as his long legs could carry him- down the alley and past the peddlers and the closing shops until he could see Sugarplums and it's brightly colored interior. Panting, and grinning, Damien slowed as he approached Darej (he was pretty sure that was Darej). "S-sorry I'm late, you wouldn't believe the traffic!" he joked, standing up straighter and pulling on his shirt collar. He peered around for a moment, gauging things before focusing on his blind date. "Hi." Damien breathlessly said, his voice colored with amusement. |

First thing Darej noticed. A guy. Okay, that was no biggie to him, he didn't care either way. And the name did give it away beforehand. Next thing, the guy wasn't hard on the eyes thankfully. And his attire though.. A low whistle may have escaped his mouth. "Now that's fashionably late to the tee." Smirking. "Hi... Damien, right? I'm Darej." Just in case they had any doubts. He eyed him, clearly he was tired fand could use a pick-me-up. "Want some? It's some of the samples they gave out." Offering out the cup of chocoballs. He took one to eat himself. They were tasty after all. |
Quote:
"yeah, alright." he said eagerly, taking one and popping the whole thing into his mouth without a second's thinking. The chocolate was warm and so sweet it bordered on unbearable. It was just what he looked for in candy. "I've never actually eaten here. Usually if I'm after something sweet I head to Florean's." It was always busy, but also always worth it. |
Having a sweet tooth eh? As soon as the English Quidditch player walked in he was welcomed by a candy bell shaped like a gum ball to announce his presence! His nose twitched taking a whiff of all the variety of candy flavors bursting like a sticky and sweet bomb! But being more of a salt water taffy kind of guy, he usually stayed inside that bubble and today in the glory of this shop he wanted to explore his options, starting with something a little more classic like the chocolate frogs! Going in the direction of the baskets he smiled at those around him. Carrying on to his sweet candy mission he took a basket and read the labels of each display and loaded items he'd like to try! |
There was a sweet shop at the south side of the alley that had been told by her sister and that's her destination for. Jasmine did mention how some of their homemade candies were mouth-watering and have great selection of flavors too. Being a sweet tooth herself, Aurora was interested to see the shop by herself and perhaps going back home with some sweets too. Stepping inside the shop, her eyes got widened. Wow, this place was such a heaven. Too bad she didn't bring much galleons to spend here so she'd better spend it wisely and get just the best selecton of their special stuffs. Those fudges looked good, could she try them first before buying? Aurora had no idea. Honestly she wanted to buy them all and shared with her sister but let's be real, spending too much galleons for sweets wasn't good. |

The lemon drops were Eniola’s weakness. She always loved popping one in as she was studying. She thinks it helps her remember, her mother thinks it makes her teeth rot. But it was worth it! Eni came to a stop in front of the lemon drops, noticing only one other girl around her age roaming the same area, she smiled to be friendly. She was really just excited for the candy if she was being honest. |

Everything looked good, this wasn't fair. Aurora didn't want to spend her entire galleons for sweets (and she'd rather to spend them for skin care of make up products) but she had to make a decision which ones she should get. Omona, this was like when she had to decide if she should get new lip tint or face masks at the mall last week (although she ended up getting both). Let's just... ask someone. "Hey, excuse me." The Korean-American smiled at the girl who wasn't too far from her. "Do you have any recommendation which one I should get? Like.. all-time favorite here?" Maybe she should've asked the shopkeeper but it seems he's not available for a question like this. Also, asking someone else wouldn't be bad, right? This girl seemed like she's quite familiar with some of these products. |
SPOILER!!: Aurora Eniola hadn’t noticed anyone else as she was on her hunt for her sugar high. Lemon drops! Sherbet drops! Sugar quills! Oh my! Eni is in heaven. She got startled when the girl started talking to her as it broke her out of a type of trance. “Oh! I love Lemon Drops! And Sherbet Drops! And Sugar Quills! They help me study...at least that’s how I justify it to my parents.” Eni laughed. “Do you have much of a sweet tooth?” |

Aurora wasn't really a fan of lemon-flavored, unless it's on her skin care product. Lemon face mask was one of her favorite though. But sugar quills seemed appealing. She was curious and took some of them. "They do look like an actual quill, yeah." The Korean-American nodded. "Looks like I'm going to need some of these." Just like what this girl had mentioned, it could be a good disguise when she's eating sweets while studying. "I do, yeah. But all these stuffs are so unfamiliar, I just moved to England and everything here looks good though." She said truthfully. "Have you ever tried their homemade products? My sister said they're good too, but she did not mention which products specifically. And honestly, I would love to get them all but well... can't really spend too much on sweets." Wow, did she just talk too much on a stranger? |
SPOILER!!: Aurora Eni nodded, “Yeah, it’s pretty cool. Watch out for the Transfiguration Prof though! They’ve definitely caught me a couple times in class using OneNote instead of a real quill.” She laughed. “That’s cool! What kind of sweets tonyou normally have where you’re from? Speaking of...where are you from?” Eniola was curious. The girl mentioned she had just moved. ‘Is it impolite to ask? Or insensitive? Ugh Eni you idiot! You only just met the girl! You don’t need to ask her life story.’ But Eni couldn’t deny she was curious about the girl. “Well, I could share some sweet sweet with you! I don’t mind. Maybe we’ll be in some of the same classes? We look the same age. Wait. How old are you?” Eniola really couldn’t stop the curiosity from getting the best of her. She mentally smacked herself in the head. ‘Stop asking questions!! Leave the poor girl alone!’ That’s when Eni realized he was asking so many questions of the girl but hadn’t even introduced herself yet! “Oh, I’m so sorry! My name is Eni, Eniola Abara. 6th year!” she beamed at the girl, hoping that would help make up for the personal question asking. |
Quote:
.... You know, it's kinda rude and offensive when someone asked about her age. But probably it's just different here, Aurora had no idea. So she just gave the girl a hint of smile and casually answered her question. "I'm sixteen, I'll be sixth year this fall." Eniola, what a pretty name. It's just as pretty as her hair. "I'm Aurora." She mentioned her name and extended her hand. |
SPOILER!!: Aurora Eni nodded, “Yeah, as long as you aren’t eating sweets in class you should be good. The teachers are pretty nice over all.” America? That’s pretty cool. Eniola thought. “It’s nice to meet you! I haven’t met anyone from America before. Do you like it there?” She asked. “I’m not big on chocolate myself. I prefer purer forms of sugar...as in coated in sugar. Mum thinks I’m going to get diabetes before I’m 20 because I have so much sugar.” Eniola shook Aurora’s outstretched hand and smiled. “Well, welcome! I hope you enjoy Hogwarts. It takes a bit of an adjustment when you’re from another country, it’s easy to miss home - trust me, but people are really friendly.” Eni hope she was being assuring for her future schoolmate as she gave her a small smile. |
