Located at 275 Diagon Alley, Madam Primpernelle's Beautifying Potions seeks to aid the everyday witch or wizard in maintaining or improving her or his physical appearance. With skincare products that remove warts, acne and worse, and hair care potions that will make one's locks luxurious and glossy, this shop should be the first stop on any image-conscious witch or wizard's visit to Diagon Alley!
As you proceed inside the store you notice that it is divided into two parts. To the right, you will encounter aisles filled with Beauty Care Potions to treat all of your beauty problems, including warts, pimples, dry skin, sunburn, and many more. To the left of the store, you will find aisles filled with Beauty Enhancement Potions, potions that have been designed to help you look your best. They range from simple products, such as hair colour changing potions and teeth whitening potions, to much more dangerous potions that can help you become thinner and younger looking. The shelves are filled with bottles, flasks, and containers of different shapes, sizes, and colours.
The counter is located in the middle of the store. It is decorated with small flower arrangements, a glass bowl filled with bonbons, business cards with the store's contact information, a few magazines (including Witch Weekly and Rumours!), small brochures and pamphlets with coupons and special deals, and small flasks of fragrance samples. If you have any questions about a product, can't find a certain potion, or are in dire need of immediate magical help for your beauty problems the shopkeeper will be more than happy to help you.

It was...kind of sad how much Nettie had spent at this shop over the summer. What else was there to do though besides experiment with makeup and new beauty trends? Quidditch was taking up so much of her time that she usually just wanted to lay around at her room when she WAS home. That way she didn't have to be around her parents, and she could experiment with her makeup to her hearts content.
Although, all the makeup and caused her to break out JUST a tad on her forehead. So today, she was looking for some anti-acne stuff. Bubotuber pus was NOT something she was willing to do in her every day routine. Yuck!

Cullen hobbled into Madam Primpernelle's looking for a restroom. The old man had no desire to walk any further than needed and the fancy shops always had the cleanest facilities. He tutted and shook his head at all of the products intended to fancify and the gaggle of young ladies spending their hard-earned galleons.
"Excuse me, young lady (Torii) do you know where the restroom facilities are?" He was far too old to feel embarrassed about asking such a question and completely oblivious to the fact that he was interrupting their conversation.

"Stocking up for the whole Ravenclaw tower?" she asked with a small chuckle, raising her eyebrow at the mountain of products Missa had in her basket already.

The old man leaned in to hear what the little lady was saying, nodding along as if he was catching every word. His hearing not being what it was even just a few years ago made it more and more difficult to understand the youngsters.
He was relieved when she pointed and his eyes followed the direction and he saw the sign. "Yes, now I see. Thank you, young lady. Much appreciated." He gave her a tip of his hat then headed off towards the sign. Cullen was ready to be done with his business and the store so he could get back to the World Cup festivities.

Eni blushed even more. "Oh, don't apologize. I'm the one that was being loud." Eniola smiled at the girl, she seemed nice.
"Thank you! I don't know why I get so flustered with this stuff. I think just years of trial and error takes a toll on a girl." She sighed and smiled. 'Hopefully this product works.' Eni thought as she grabbed the bottle. 'If it does I hope they answer owl orders, I would order half a dozen!'
Eni beamed at Torii, "Nice to meet you Torii! I'm Eniola."

I don't want to buy something and have it NOT work," she said with a sigh. There were at least five different acne products to choose from for blackheads ALONE. The last thing she wanted was for it to not work, and then she had to go through the trouble of returning it and getting something else...
"Stocking up for the whole Ravenclaw tower?" she asked with a small chuckle, raising her eyebrow at the mountain of products Missa had in her basket already.
"I think - you just have to try and see, with these things - I mean, every skin is different and it's not necessary if something works on mine will work on you too" she said thoughtfully, eying the bottle that was in Nettie's hand.
Upon the mention of her own basket though, the brunette blushed furiously and tried to hide it behind her. "I just couldn't decide on .... anything" she said honestly, biting her lower lip to hide a shy smile.
"I may just abandon the basket altogether, to be honest" she chuckled.

With a relieved sigh, she stepped into the shop, bags in hand, ready to look for a potion to help her blonde curls become ever so slightly more manageable. Heading to the left of the shop, Delyth stood for a moment, out of her depth.

The shelves were stocked as usual but she was always on the lookout for new products.

The cane was purely for show, as she thought it added a little flare to every outfit. The black chestnut went straight down from the silver top, and spiraled towards the bottom. Another great feature of this cane was it hid her wand. Not that she needed to hide it, but she didn't feel like carrying around a holster for it. Also, she was well aware of the dangers of keeping in your pocket. One could either simply snatch it from you when you weren't looking, or, to the even unluckier folk, if you forgot about it when you went to sit down it could easily snap in two. Both were scenarios the woman couldn't afford to have.
Roselynn was dressed in an elegant top that ruffled out near the shoulders, with a lace designer swirling around at the stomach region, going up there center of her back. Black wide brim hat with a single red falcon feather sticking out as a plume, and to match the red she wore lace gloves that cut off at the wrist and flared out into a single ruffle. As for bottoms, it was a black maxi mermaid skirt with red lace at the very bottom. While she was dressed to the 9's, she felt anything but that. As her skin was starting to get a bit burnt and she was definitely noticing the unkindly grasp of age starting to make wrinkles upon her face. And to think she was only 27! That was the curse of the Voss' family unfortunately. Age typically started to effect them at an early age.
That is why she roamed the isles of this beauty store, she was in need of some form of anti-aging potion or cream, and something to make her skin glow again. Upon walking around, Roselynn had spotted another woman. Needing some assistance, whether the other lady worked here or not, Rose walked over to her; hoping she could help her find the things that she needed. "Excuse me ma'am." Her soft voice started to inquire as her other hand moved out from her pocket and atop her other hand on the cane. "You wouldn't happen to know where they keep some anti-aging potions or cream here, would you?" Hopefully, that didn't come across to weird or anything.

Annie tucked a few strands of dark brown hair behind her ear and was about to move on when she was intercepted by another customer.
“Do I look like I work here?’’ she wondered exasperatedly. Despite the thought, Annie did notice just how appealingly this woman was dressed. So… elegantly. And because of this, she tried her best not to stare. “Hi, um. Yes.’’ Her eyes dropped to the cane. Was it really necessary? No. The outfit was eye catching and proper enough. “As a matter of fact, I do. It’s a little further down this aisle. If you like I can show you exactly where.’’ Annie was ready to lead the way.

Not-so-little-now Becky Rasting had been paying special attention older girls lately. Not that she had never noticed them before but things were a little different now. She had stared in awe at the elegance and fluidity of the movements of her sempai in Buyo Club, how effortlessly the rouge to their cheeks and luscious pink lips capture the attention of boys. She couldn't even IMAGINE the balance and steady hand required in applying mascara...though if her training with Leo continued to progress the way it was then she may not have any need for that and could manipulate her lashes on her own. So far, however, she still was only able to accomplish a change in color with her hair, streaking it whenever she sneezed.
She yearned to be as pretty as these older girls...older girls like Missa and Juliette and Jillian Nina and Trinetta...the girls that whenever she simply caught glances of she felt her stomach turn back flips and her face heat up.
But also...she wanted to impress Sam for their date. She was a bit surprised she did not have that many butterflies whenever she thought about the date, but she assumed that was because she was so comfortable around him. Shyly, sh reached for one of the potions on the nearest shelf and turned it over in her hand. There were just...so many options. How did she even KNOW where to begin?!

So Bernie put on her sparkliest earrings (they were new, thanks for noticing), her glitter-coated high tops, and her favorite sunnies, and flounced into the potions shop, trailing a bit of glitter on the ground as she walked.
She popped up beside a familiar face already in the shop and held back a loud SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! as she peeked at her through the other side of the shelf. Bernie didn't want to cause a scene, but she did let out a smaller, higher-pitched, "BECKYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!" EHEHEEHEHE look who was HERE! OMG!!!!

So far Diagon Alley had not impressed Drew one little bit. It was cluttered and not entirely clean and there were a lot of unruly looking people around. France was a much nicer place. He missed living there, but his mother had married...again and they had to move...again. Of course he was old enough to live on his own but if he wanted to keep rolling in the galleons then he had to go where mummy went. For now anyway.
He placed his hand into his pocket and was immediately comforted by the sound of the galleons jiggling around. Ahhh it was such a wonderful sound. Drew ducked into one of the shops along the alley and wrinkled his nose at the sights and smells that assaulted his senses.
Moving further into the store, Drew bypassed the two young girls that were there and headed for the men's section. He picked up a box and read the label before letting out a snort of laughter. "Who in their right mind would want to grow a moustache?" It would be like having a hairy flobberworm sitting on top of your lip.

Overwhelmed and feeling her head spin a bit, the fourth year found herself wishing she had come here with her mum. Mum was always so good and making her feel calm and comfortable. She also felt too shy to talk to mum about this sort of thing...mum was an effortless beauty. Daddy was always saying so. Maybe mum wouldn't understand after all... beautifying potions were, after all, effort and mum didn't need that.
Sighing a little in defeat, the Hufflepuff was returning the bottle to the shelf when she heard a tone that was almost an exclusive to her family's shiba inu in pitch. "Bernie? Berine!" she squeaked in delight as she spun on spot, her floral skirt twirling with her as she closed the little distance between them to give the younger girl a hug. "Ooooh...if I would have known I'd run into you today I would have brought your omiyage with me!"

Becky had never been particularly subtle, it was the Gryffindor blood running through her veins, and she leaaaaaaaan over to try and follow him with her eyes as he moved down the aisles and turned around the corner towards another section of the shop. Her gave a confused fluttered inside her chest and her large almond eyed blinked several times in rapid succession.

EEeeeeeeeEEHEHEHE Becky was just as FABULOUS as ever. Bernie hugged her back, of course, admiring her floral skirt, and telling her so in high praise as they hugged. Becky was like somuchbetter than Eiji, like omg, she was her favourite Rasting by far, and she was so happy to see her here.
"Oh well, we'll have to hang out again," the Gryffindor LAUGHED at her own joke, taking a small step back from her friend, and noticing the sudden blush on her cheeks. Hmm, what? Bernie's bright eyes followed her friend's gaze to the older boy, and well yes, she did also think 'pretty' to herself, but didn't say it OUT LOUD because Bernie still thought boys were annoying 92% of the time. The other 8% of the time though....
Well well. Bernadette spun on her heel, a sneaky smile now upon her lips, and quickly closed the distance between her friend and the older boy. "Excuse me, I would want to grow a mustache," she declared, snatching the box right out of his hands. This was just an excuse to eye the boy up close, of course, and determine his worthiness for Becky. And oh, he was worthy. He... did he have two different-coloured eyes though?! Bernie found herself staring not at the mustache box but at the boy for just a moment too long.
Then she was quickly looking down at the box again and musing on its description LOUDLY. "Mustaches are a great addition to any face or occasion. Need a great disguise for a masquerade ball? Grow a mustache! Trying to impress family at your nephew's bar mitzvah? Grow a mustache! Recreate historically accurate facial hair for deathday celebrations, look like your favourite Quidditch star in the playoffs, or just grow a mustache because it's winter and you think you can! There's never a bad reason to grow a mustache."
What a great friend she was. Look at her. Approaching (AND engaging?!) the stranger!danger with such bravado. Bernie looked up at the boy with a hmm, then glanced back to Becky. "What do you think, should I grow a mustache?"

This was all so perfect! The lady would be so kind as to show Roselynn where these items were. That way, Roselynn wasn't running around all over the store! She would easily waste at least an hour or so in here if she had to do so. Because she knew herself, and when Roselynn would see something that she liked, she would get entranced by it. Meaning, Roselynn would be looking at a lot more products than she had originally came here for.
She couldn't help but take note at the other woman eyeing her outfit; but it looked to be in a good way. Even if it wasn't super long, she did catch a glance of it. However, Roselynn didn't think much of it as that's what most people do when they meet someone new. They look them up and down, and make their initial assessments based off of looks. Which is why she had dressed tasteful manner, so people would assume her to be nothing but tasteful. It was one of the many things Roselynn had held to a pretty high standard for herself, was how she presented herself to others.
"That would actually be amazing." A smile placed on her face. "I'll let you lead the way then." Roselynn told the lady.

Even though Drew was consumed in reading the label of the box in his hands, he knew that he was being watched. It happened to him a lot and he had to suppress the smug grin that was fighting to appear on his face and it was even harder when he heard one of the girl’s say the word ‘pretty.’ He had no idea if they were talking about him or something in the shop but Drew being Drew was going to assume that they were indeed talking about him. And why wouldn’t they?
He was just about to put the box back on the shelf but before he could even make any sort of movement the box was snatched out of his hands and one of the girls he had passed by before was standing before him and STARING. "Please by all means." He drawled gesturing towards the box now in the hands of the young brunette. Apparently she needed it more than he did.
“Why would a girl want to grow a mustache?” Or maybe she was trying to be a boy. Who knew? Drew did not have much experience with British people, maybe this was a thing over here. His eyes flicked to the other girl and his gaze lingered on the blush on her face briefly before his attention was once again back on the mustache girl as she read the description on the back of the box. As she read out each one Drew was imagining the different mustaches on her face and he let out a small laugh. It would be so funny to see her with one.
Again his attention went to the other girl and he raised an eyebrow. He was rather interested to see if she thought her friend should get a mustache.

Becky's easily flustered side was certainly something she had inherited from her dad and she was perfectly content in NOT engaging with the older boy who was unlikely to even bat an eyelash at either one of them let alone have an kind of conversation with them. But Bernie had something else in mind ENTIRELY.
The Hufflepuff's arm quickly looped around the younger Gryffindor's to stick close to her and she was mouthing softly for her to please not be rude or offend him. Her intention had been to actually whisper something to her friend but nothing was coming out. Nothing at all. Just that one streak of her hair turning a very pale pink as it did when she was overwhelmed.
Oh gosh he really was SO pretty though. He lacked a certain...aura that Leo, her metamorph tutor, had though...but still...so pretty...and she couldn't take her eyes off his eyes. Would he...find hers as lovely as she found his?
"...my uncle has a mustache," she offered up lamely. "H-He is the headmaster at Himitsumahou and Defense Against the Dark Arts professor..."
Did that...contribute at all to the conversation? Probably not. She felt about ten steps behind the other two with what was being said. Also...his accent?
"I'M BECKY!" she squeaked suddenly while rising up on her tip toes as if her cute shrillness wasn't an indication enough as to who was Becky and who was not.
Had Bernie just asked her something? She felt incredibly warm all of a sudden and parched but she DID hear what the guy had said and sh squeaked another few words.
"I think a girl can grow a mustache just because she wants to."

Um, why WOULDN'T a girl want a mustache? Hadn't this boy been listening to like, everything Bernie had just read to him??? She squinted at him as though he were daft (he probably spent all his time liftin' weights, and no time studying) and instead looked to Becky for help.
Oh, oh dear. Her friend. The poor, awkward puff. She needed saaaaaaving! Bernie could tell from her good streaky hair. That meant SOMETHING alright.
"I'm Bernie," she also attempted to squeak, as though these were their normal speaking voices. Bernie was NOT as high-pitched as Becks though, and the squeak quickly disappeared as she continued speaking confidently about things she didn't actually know about. "And I'm no Headmaster, but I think a mustache--- well, it's like a defense thing, right? Mustaches make it harder for people to recognize your face, in case you're someone who's always running into trouble, like me, and being spotted by witnesses. After the crime, you can just bzzzzzzzz your mustache off and then look like someone new."
She opened the mustache box without further ado and began fiddling with its contents. "How's this work, anyway?" She expected the boy who could probably grow his own mustache from scratch to assist her, thanks.

Which is why she had dressed tasteful manner, so people would assume her to be nothing but tasteful. It was one of the many things Roselynn had held to a pretty high standard for herself, was how she presented herself to others.
"That would actually be amazing." A smile placed on her face. "I'll let you lead the way then." Roselynn told the lady.

This elegantly dressed woman would allow Annie to show her to the aisle. Annie didn’t mind but she wondered if she had been mistaken for an employee who worked at the shop. But what was better, was that she might be able to gauge if the young woman’s personality was as lovely as her choice of clothing. “I don’t work here,” Annie began casually falling in step beside the other woman as she headed down to the aisle with the anti- aging products. “But those products are some that I use often.” She looked over to her company with a smile. “My name’s Anita Sandhu, by the way.” And still she tried not to stare.
