The Sorting Hat Song

Authors and poets on SS have submitted a multi-stanza poem in the style of the Sorting Hat. The winner will see their song used in the upcoming term!

the time has come to make a choice
for which three entries win
and determine for the school this year
what the Sorting Hat will sing

the entries all are written well
and a lot of effort used
with some you'll frankly be amazed
and others just amused

such talent this site has to share
each one deserves your time
to read each entry through with care
and understand it's ryhme

but in the end its three that win
and those you'll have to choose
but just because you miss the cut
it doesn't mean you lose

As Gryffindor would say today
"in the end you all have won"
And Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw
would smile and say, "well done"

Even Slytherin, through gritted teeth
would reluctantly agree
that each entry was a winning song
not just the chosen three

don't delay one minute, go cast your votes
for the next term's Sorting Song
so that when the hat's placed on the stool
you too can sing along

good luck everyone, they're all wonderful entries, it's great to see that so much talent in poetry is still around on SS......

Oh darn!I accidently wrote Leopardblast instead of Ravenclaw!(Leopardblast-a house a made up.Note that is is intented for another story I'm writing.)Oh well.At least it's in voting!
