We are currently in the process of making a few last minute placements from those apps already sent in, plus we're making the rounds putting in tags and posting permissions. Some of you may receive your PM first and your tags/permissions last, and then some of you may see your tags and permissions come in before you get your PM. If you happen to spot a tag come up on your profile before your PMed, then please expect your PM soon. Feel free to play in the Atrium area until your PM arrives.

The Ministry of Magic wants you! Now hiring!

The placement questionnaire can be found here and will be open until Tuesday, June 14th. Please remember to read the MoM RPG Rules/FAQ before completing your application.

Once you've filled out your application, you can visit Ministry Mingling for more information. Placement is a lengthy process for the MoM Staff, so please do put on your patient pants after submitting your application.

There are few things that seemed to trip some of you up last time that we'd like to address.

Who can take Ministry Placement Questionnaire?

If you are not currently a member of the Ministry of Magic and would like to be - YOU may apply now!
If you ARE currently a Ministry employee, but wish to change characters - simply retake the questionnaire using your new character.
If you wish to have your current character considered for another job, a promotion, or another department - you may also take the quiz! Just use question 3 for letting us know what your wishes are. We cannot and will not make guarantees, of course, but we will review your character and their job and see what we can offer. Note that promotions will typically come In-Character from your Department Head with character longevity and reliability.

Questionnaire:

All parts of the questionnaire should be filled out in-character (as your character, not as you).
Question 13 asks for a letter of reference. Feel free to ask someone on the site to create one for you (if their character knows your character) or you can create one of your own.

Please fill out the entire application! Don't skip questions! If you must skip a question, then tell us why in the last question of the questionnaire.

After Placement:

The only way to change your MoM character is to retake the placement questionnaire when placement time rolls around. So before you fill out your application, you need to think carefully about the character you'd like to play, because you won't be able to change again until another placement opens. The Ministry Placement fits very specific jobs (that are assigned by the MoM staff individually with much care and thought) to your specific character. So, you can't just up and change characters and keep the same job.

If you have questions - you know what to do. Hit up any Ministry Staffer and we'll be more than happy to help.

I'm basically new to the whole new MoM and this question is really puzzling me, I'm not sure how to answer it. Can anyone help me?

I answered "No" to this.

What it's basically saying is IC write if you are re-applying or if you're new to the MoM just say that you are.

That's my 2 knuts anyways. I hope I'm right. Am I? Oh Geeze I hope I am

Hmm. Well that makes a little more sense. I think I'll just skip for a bit and work on the other stuff.

MyPatronusIsaMoose is right. That question is for your character--does he or she currently work for the MoM, or no? Pretty much, it's for members with a character who has already been sorted into the MoM and has already received a position through a previous sorting. If that doesn't apply to your character, just answer "No."

I've already turned the application in and I went ahead and said no, 'cause my gut told me to...but now it makes sense.

I applied wow can't wait to get my results but I have a question when do I get my results? so I know that somthing didn't go wrong by the way the quiz is very well sorted and hae good questions I liked taking it

The earliest you should expect your results is a week after you send the quiz in. That's at the earliest, though, and it can sometimes take up to the full two week placement period to get results sent out. Although we try our best to send out results as quickly as possible, there are lots of steps your app goes through before it's completely finalized. It does sometimes take a while, but you can be rest assured, we are doing our best to get it to your asap!

Hey everyone! I'm hoping to be acccepted into the ministry. that and I'm looking foward to RPing with everybody. Also, I am having a bit of trouble figuring how to get involved more with RPs...ex. I tried to join one but I don't know if I was accepted. How would I know? Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just as an FYI, we're still not done sorting/tagging/PMing, so if you've submitted an app and still haven't received a response, it's coming! We're getting them out as soon as possible!
