| | |  Ministry of Magic Remodeling is Complete!
We’re happy to announce that all the remodeling for the Ministry of Magic is now complete, and we’re excited to introduce the new and improved Ministry RPG! In an effort to make the Ministry RPG more exciting for everyone involved, we’ve made lots of changes we hope you'll like and enjoy. At this time, changes only reflect those whose characters are employed within the Ministry of Magic.
The purpose of the remodeling was to give members more opportunities to roleplay with not only those in their department, but also with those in other departments. Within departments, we’ve combined all divisions into one “Work Areas and Cubicles” thread. This is an effort to give employees more members to interact with and hopefully more activity to work with.
Similar to the School RPG, each level of the Ministry of Magic now has at least four or more general, non-work related threads. These threads are designed for free roleplay, which means you now have the opportunity to create your own roleplay in the Ministry of Magic. Regardless of the department your character has been sorted into, you are free to roleplay in any of the “free roleplay” threads on any level.
We’ve also introduced a new forum called “Muggle London,” which is the area just outside the entrance to the Ministry of Magic (the red phone booth area). This means Ministry of Magic employees can now roleplay their characters outside the Ministry of Magic and roaming around amongst the muggles!
The new “free roleplay” threads are: Aquariums Along the Corridor; Display of Magical Plants; The Coffee Corner; First Level Corridor; Portraits and Paintings; Display of Muggle Plants; Mirror, Mirror on the Wall; Courtroom Sketches; Locked Case Files; Elevator Lobby Window; Second Level Corridor; Sculpture of Mnemone Radford; Ministry-wide Breakroom; Moving Coat Rack; Third Level Corridor; Ministry Cafeteria; Terrarium Along the Corridor; Haunted Cloak Closet; Fourth Level Corridor; Ministers of Magic Portrait Gallery; The Mail Room; The Book Shelves; Fifth Level Corridor; The Snack Cart; Stained Glass Window; Records and References Room; Sixth Level Corridor; Inter-Department Breakroom; The Game Room; The Trophy Case; Level Seven Corridor; A Dark and Quiet Corner; Statues of the Golden Trio; Tapestry of The Battle of the D.O.M.; Ninth Level Corridor; Display of Records; The Enchanted Window; The Music Corner; Fireplace for Arrivals and Departures; Fountain of Magical Brethren; Visitor’s Entrance; The Golden Gates; Twelve Elevators; The Courtroom; and Tenth Level Corridor.
“Free roleplay” Muggle London threads are: Sidewalk and Phone Booth; Restaurant Across the Street; The Bus Stop; Muggle Bookstore; Café on the Corner; and Public Lavatory (where you literally flush your character into the Ministry).

All these new threads have got me wondering; I know it wouldn't really be feasible for DA/DP workers to enter the Ministry threads, but are those who play such characters allowed to play in Muggle London threads?

But great job to all for the uniqueness in ALL THE NEW THREADS! That's a good question, Jess! We're actually discussing crossovers between the Ministry of Magic and DA/DP, but there's been no official word on it yet.
Muggle London is the "red phone booth area" that serves as the entrance/exit to the Ministry of Magic, so I'm unsure if that would be considered an employee-only area or not.
I'll try and get an official word on that and get back to you as soon as possible!
