Hello fellow SnitchSeekers!! It's been ages since my last update so this is sure to be as long as ever. For those of you who have not had the chance to read one of my updates make sure you're in a comfortable chair with plenty of drinks and snacks and that you've gone to the bathroom before you read any further because it's sure to take you a while to read through it. LOL

1. Welcome New Members!

Now, seriously, I want to welcome all the new members who have joined in the past few months. I hope you all got sorted into the houses you wanted and that you're becoming familiar with the various RP (role play) opportunities on the site between the Hogwarts RPG, Ministry RPG, and the general RPG area, Knockturn Alley. Of course I realize not all of you are here for RPG so, hopefully you've found our Fan Clubs, news, and other forums exciting and welcoming.

2. School RPG

The sorting ends tomorrow so, if you haven't been sorted yet and want to be: GO DO IT RIGHT NOW! Diagon Alley usually shuts down with the sorting so that the staff have a chance to make sure everything is in order before the Hogwarts Express leaves for school. Please be patient and feel free to take advantage of the Ministry RPG during this brief time when there will be no opportunities to role play your student character.

3. Ministry RPG

Speaking of which, the new Ministry RPG is off to a great start and I'm pleased to announce that I am handing the reins over to an awesome team: lemondrop13 and Lissydove. Lissy has been working with me for the past few weeks trying to integrate herself into the RPG and will be playing our lovely head of the Human Resources Department which should make for a much nicer IC (in character) time playing out submitting your application, discussing pay rises, and requesting transfers.

4. New Admin!! Old Admins!!

Tiff (aka lemondrop13) is new to the admin team but, certainly not new when it comes to the Ministry RPG. Tiff plays the wonderfully organized, right-hand woman of the Minister of Magic, Miss Taylor and has been pretty much running the show IC since we began. She was the perfect choice to take over the running of the Ministry and I look forward to seeing the RPG flourish under her hand. However, please be nice to her as she transitions into this position and learns the ropes (there's a lot to learn!) Welcome to the team, Tiff!!

Another note on the admin team: I'm sure you've noticed my name is no longer black but, purple! I am taking a break from my site managing duties this summer and focusing entirely on my role as Professor Doyle Branxton in the Hogwarts RPG. However, my lovely and marvelous Assistant Site Manager, Mad Eye Touz, will be right here doing what she does best (which just so happens to be my job ). Please feel free to bring any problems you might have to her attention, though she doesn't usually make it online during the weekends. As always, you can contact any of the admin team for whatever problem you might have. You can find a list of the admins and their contact info on the Meet the Staff (which I do need to update) or I'll list them here for you for easy reference, as well.

5. Contests

Well, now that we've got the staffing stuff out of the way, I wanted to remind you about the two awesome contests we're currently running. The first is the Original Beedle the Bard contest where you write an original wizarding fable for the chance to win a light-up Voldemort wand. The second is the SnitchSeeker Slogan Contest where you come up with a slogan for your favorite Harry Potter community website (SnitchSeeker, in case you weren't sure ). Members will vote for their favorite and the winning slogan will be used for future contests, banners, other graphics, merchandise, etc.

6. SeekerChat

For those of you who haven't noticed, yet, our chatroom is up and running with various rooms for you to chat and play in. Let's all give KevinG a round of applause, hugs, kisses, cake, cookies, and other goodies for all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears he poured into it. The dueling game in there was entirely created and coded by him and he added many many extra features to make it fun! If you have any trouble getting into the chatroom, please PM an admin and they can help you out (those whose usernames contain spaces, asterisks or other odd characters need to have their chatroom name (which is usually just your SnitchSeeker username) changed so that it is compatible with the chatroom software - this change will only be apparent in the chatroom so don't worry about losing your username on the boards. )

This update is kind of random because I'm just adding things as I think of them. Hopefully the table of contents up above helps (I think people said it did last time) and as usual, if you read through the whole thing you get a cookie so hopefully you're reading all the way through

7. Member of the Week

I want to thank Dainsie and her crew of SnitchSeeker librarians for jump starting the Member of the Week series once again. What a fantastic way to get to know your fellow SnitchSeeker and Harry Potter addicts! Thank you guys so much for your hard work and dedication in performing these entertaining interviews.

8. Miscellaneous Stuff

This is the section of the update where I hand out cookies to all those who are bored with me. Unfortunately, I'm all out of cookies today so you're going to have to settle for brownies and cake instead. Sorry about that.
