50,000 words | one month | BRING IT ON!

Every November, writers from around the globe come together in a fantastic web-based creative writing project where each person seeks to write 50,000 words of a new novel in the span of a month. Last year, over 200,000 people participated and 2,872,682,109 words were written.

Now, the Gringotts Goblins invite YOU to join us in writing our way through November! The goblins have been busy rearranging the vaults to include everything that you aspiring writers could possibly need to not only reach the 50,000 word mark in the 30 day time frame, but also have fun while doing so!

Sure, goblins may be a bit grumpy (real goblins, at least), but they have a soft side for wizarding and muggle writers alike. There is a place for you to share you writing, get constructive critiques, help inspire others in their writing, cover art requests, and much much more!

so I tried this last year, but became overwhelmed with school :( but I've been planning about what I will write for about a month now so I hope I can do it or at least write more than last time :xd:

I'm thinking of trying my hand at it this year although it is going to be done with an original idea which is nerve wrecking for me...

Edited to say- well it is official I'm doing NaNoWriMo! I just hope that I don't regret it!

I did it last year and completed it! but I'm at uni now and am trying to get a job sooooo will I have time!? Ahhhh.

I strongly encourage everyone to attend a write-in if you can. And I'm not just saying that because I am a ML this year *coughcough* They are a lot of fun and a great way to meet local writers like yourself....and there might be candy :woot:
