Though the warmth of spring is starting to creep into the world, it is not enough to shake the frigid cold of the early mornings. As you shuffle about the house, readying yourself for the day while wrapped in a thick, warm robe, a tap can be heard against the window in the kitchen. As you ignore it, it grows more and more insistent, until you wrap yourself a little tighter and make your way to the window to allow the owl entrance. The surly-looking barn own holds out its leg, shaking it impatiently as your sleepy fingers are slow to untie the paper.

Eventually, after much jostling and an annoyed peck or two, the paper is yours, and the owl flies off to find its breakfast.
