Several scholars of Lewis’ appear in this film, but the main theme of the documentary follows Michael Ward's theory behind the Narnia stories and how Lewis may have come to write them. Ward explains step-by-step how he came by his theory and how it relates to each of the Narnia storylines.

I found this documentary quite interesting and surprising. The story of Lewis’ solitary childhood makes it evident why he became an author of fantasies, penning tales that would no doubt bring comfort to a lonely boy. There is a very strong religious line running through this documentary, which rings true of the Narnia books as well. Fans of Lewis will find this story of his life fascinating and insightful, especially the bonus section where Ward interviews the author’s friends and school mates.
