“What are you snickering about?” Remus Lupin questioned his friends.
Sirius snickered.
James snickered louder.
Peter groaned.
Remus placed both hands on his hips and glared threateningly at his friends.
“Don’t do that, you look like my mother” Sirius barked out in laughter.
“Your mum is more melancholy” James pointed out.
Peter scratched his head, “he’s disowned!”
“I’m bloody well aware of that” Sirius retorted, glaring at Peter.
James frowned at Peter.
“What?” Peter said defensively.
Remus thought better to interject and save Peter for the millionth time. “So?” he nudged Padfoot and Prongs, “what’s the entire snickering about?”
“Jinxing McGonagall” Peter grinned.
“I’m going to strangle him!” Sirius pronounced ominously, his silvery eyes gathering dark clouds at Peter.
“I’d save it for Snivellus” James scowled at the mere thought of Snape.
“Their only contemplating Jelly Legs Jinx” Peter explained.
“Peter!” Sirius and James barked out together.
“You’ve gone mad!” Lupin declared slashing the air with his hand, “you’re not doing it. You’ll get expelled for goodness sake. I’ll get expelled for not stopping you. Absolutely not! Do you know how old she is?” Remus growled.
“Not really” Sirius shrugged carelessly.
“Do you know?” James asked interestingly, “I’ve always wondered....."

“Peter Pettigrew” Professor McGonagall roared as she came upon the most disoriented Gryffindor. “What on earth are you doing wearing a tutu in the middle of the corridor? and you’re dancing!” she brought a hand to her mouth in horror.
“I’m happpyyyyyy, I’m preettttyyyy, I’m wiiiiiild” Peter sang his heart out as he did a twirl with both hands in the air.
“Explain yourself Peter! That’s deplorable what your doing!” McGonagall couldn’t bare a minute more of watching Peter dancing. He needs to move! NOW!
“I’m a ballerina!” he mused with a cheeky smile, “I’m going to be famous! FAMOUS!”
“The only place you will be regarded famous is in Hogwarts dungeons, now start telling me what made you wear that dreadful dress or go back and change into proper garments!”
Peter shrugged as he did an Attitude en pointe then skipped down the corridor with much lightness.
McGonagall scowled after him then turned a corner when she came face to face with Sirius and James. Her mouth turned into a large O as her index finger shot in their direction; “I should have known!”
“Confundus charm Professor” Sirius smiled crookedly.
“Not at all our fault” James grinned perfectly.

“Blimey” Sirius’s eyes grew to full length, “did I come into the wrong room or what?”
“Shhhh!” James waved a dismissive hand, “I’m concentrating”
“And so you say” Sirius mused throwing himself into the couch next to his best mate.
“Shhhh!”
“Alright already!” he barked, placing both elbows on his knees determined to figure James’s new hobby.
“Whoaaa!” Moony’s voice came in, “did someone rise on the wrong side of the bed or what?!”
“Shhhh!”
“He’s concentrating” Sirius answered mimicking James’s earlier tone.
“I can see why” he broke into a husky chuckle, “he’s not using a single finger”
“Knitting charm” James snickered.
“And so you say, but what for?”
“A present for my dear Miss Evans” James smiled dreamily.
“Moony my friend” Sirius sighed
“Yes?”
“Never allow me to fall in love for it does strange things to ones’ mind!”
“And so you say!” Remus chuckled.
“SHHH!” James interrupted louder this time.
“We know!” Remus and Sirius said in unity.
“Lets go for a game of chess” Sirius rolled his eyes, “I see this will take long”.
James quirked a brow, apparently they caught his interest. “Wait for me, I’m coming”
“Shhhh!” Sirius and Remus broke in laughter.

“Geerrrooof!” Sirius hissed.
PUNCH!
“Ouch!” Peter whimpered.
“That ought to teach you to move your bum out of my face”.
“Be quite. Or we’ll get caught” Remus hissed.
“Told you we should have kept Peter out of it” Padfoot pointed out.
“We ought to go back, its nearing midnight” Moony interjected pulling Peter up to stand on his feet.
“No!” Sirius and James shrieked, “We’ve come a long way to retreat”.
“I’ll go last this time” Sirius said with finality glaring at Peter, “you better hold strong or I’ll be feeding you to Moony myself!”
Peter whimpered.
Marauders, all dressed in black garments took their positions except for Peter whom remained at the very bottom; Remus climbed up his shoulders, James followed, Sirius last to follow making the very top shoulder before shoving the window open.
“What do you see?” James inquired.
“Ivory” Sirius mused.
“Eh?”
“Bubbles” he sighed.
“He’s lost it” Remus grumbled.
“Wild berries” he sniffed
“What did he just say?”
“I believe he said-“ James got cut-off by a high pitched voice uttering “Sonorus”, all boys peered down to spot McGonagall before her loud voice echoed throughout the grounds. “I believe he said detention boys!”
