#1-Herbology
Neville got up early, got dressed and headed to the Great Hall for breakfast. He was looking forward to Herbology this morning. He joined Hermione, Ron and Dean at the Gryffindor table. He ate quickly, faster than the other three and he had just gotten there.
"What's your rush?" Dean asked.
"Herbology of course!," Neville replied with a mouthful of toast.
"How can you look forward to a class?" Ron asked, "Especially for Herbology?"
Neville didn't answer. Instead he got up and headed out of the Great Hall. He thought he heard Hermione yell something but he ignored it. He went to the Greenhouses and waited outside since no one was in there yet. Minutes went by. He looked at his watch and relized class should of started by now. He waited and waited. He looked at his watch again and class was to be over by now. Sadly he headed up to the castle. He ran into Dean.

"Neville where were you?"
Neville explained that he was outside. Turns out class was inside for the day. Neville walked away disappointed that he missed his favourite class.

#63- Mooch

"Password?" The Fat Lady asked sleepily.

"I-I forget, can't you just let me in?" Neville asked, "You know me."

"No password no entry," she replied firmly.

Neville frowned. He was never good for remembering passwords.
Neville stood there for 20 minutes shouting out random words and phrases to the Fat Lady.
"Chocolate Frogs!"
"Butterbeer!"
"Lemon drops!"
“Enchanted daisies!”

None of them worked. Neville groaned and sat on the cold floor. All of a sudden the password came to mind. Neville jumped to his feet and smiled.
"I remember now!"
"Hurry up then so I can get back to sleep," the fat lady said angrily.

"Mooch!"

"About time," she replied. The portrait opened and a doorway appeared.

Neville walked through, finding no one inside.

#77. Cheerful

When Neville headed for breakfast one morning, not many people were there. He decided to go over and talk to Luna.

Luna was smiling and looking outside.

"Hey Luna"

"Hello Neville, it is beautiful outside isn't it?" Luna said in a cheery voice without looking at Neville.
Neville looked outside and saw rain pouring down.

"Err... you seem cheerful today," Neville replied.

"Don't you just love the rain?" Luna said grinning widely.
She still would not look at Neville.

"Not particularly," Neville said.

"I'm just about done, and then we can go out in the rain and look for-"

"Actually I have to be somewhere," Neville interrupted
Luna looked at him.

"That's a shame, what are you doing?" Luna asked.

"Oh I'm-," Neville said as he turned around and left without finishing his sentence.

#50. Boggart

Neville caught up with Ron and Hermione who were walking away from the lake. Ron looked horrible.

"What's wrong?" Neville asked

"Giant spider," Ron stammered.

Hermione rolled her eyes.
"Ron you idiot it wasn't a REAL spider it was a boggart," Hermione said.

"It looked real to me," Ron replied.

"I don't think I want to run into one anytime soon," Neville said before Hermione could insult Ron.

"I know they are just boggarts," Neville said
Hermione smiled.
"-but Ron is right," Neville continued.
Hermione frowned.

"How stupid can you be to be scared of a boggart?" Hermione shouted, "You can obviously tell that the spider was a boggart!"

Ron looked at Hermione.
"For once you aren't smart Hermione."

"Shut up Ron," Hermione snapped.

"How can you possibly tell whether it is a boggart or not?" Neville asked

"It's simple" Hermione said beginning to get annoyed.
"No its not," Neville replied

Hermione opened her mouth to say something but instead she turned the opposite way and started walking.

#40 - Spell

Neville sat there confused about his homework. He was suppost to learn how to make the rock disappear.

"How's your homework comming?"
Neville was startled. He looked and saw Hermione.

"Not very good," Neville mumbled, "All I've accomplished is turning this rock orange"
"Well are you using the right spell?" Hermione asked.

"I don't know, I am so confused!" Neville said as he frowned

"Well good luck"

"Your not going to help me?" Neville asked

"How else will you learn?"

#8 -Potions

Neville hated this class and the professor. What made it worse was that he had no partner today.
He dreaded going to Potions and seeing Professor Snape who always gave him a hard time.

Neville chopped, sliced and stirred. An awful smell was coming from his cauldron. He looked inside his bubbling cauldron filled with what looked like green goo.

"Well done Draco," Professor Snape said.
Neville looked at the table in front of him where Pansy and Draco sat. Purple fumes were coming out of their cauldron.
Neville frowned. It was all wrong. He couldn't think of what he was doing wrong.

Neville looked down at his cauldron. It was disgusting.
"Having trouble are we?" said a cold voice.
Neville looked up to see Professor Snape staring at him.

With a fast flick of his wand, Neville's cauldron became empty.

"5 points from Gryffindor."
"Clearly you are too stupid to get anything done right," Snape sneered.

Professor Snape walked away and went to another table across from his.
"I hate Potions," Neville said angrily under his breath.

#30 - Feast

Neville was home with his grandmother for the Easter Holidays.
There was a knock on Neville's bedroom door.

"Come in," Neville said. The door opened.
"Hi Gran," Neville said.

She smiled.
"Almost ready?"

"Just about," Neville replied.
"Well hurry up, everyone will be arriving soon for the big feast," Gran ordered.
"Yes Gran," Neville said as she turned around to leave.
Moments later Neville arrived downstairs to greet the guests.
He welcomed and hugged his relatives that arrived. It had been a while since he last saw his relatives.
"Happy Easter" was what Neville kept hearing over and over as he said hello to his relatives. Neville could hear his stomach growling. He couldn't wait till they could all sit down and eat.

Neville was looking forward to the Easter Feast all day because Gran did not want Neville to eat anything all day because she was afraid he'd spoil his dinner. Neville thought it was cruel of his Gran to make him starve until dinnertime.
"Dinner is ready," Gran said cheerfully.

Neville was happy to hear those words.

#25 - Sorting Hat

It was the first day of another year at Hogwarts. Everyone was exceited and happy to see all their friends and ask about their summer. The students waited in the Great Hall for the first years to arrive and get sorted.

Eventually the doors opened and the first years walked past the tables towards the front.
Neville looked at the sorting hat that was sitting on the stool.
He remembered when he had that placed on his head. Neville was happy to be sorted into Gryffindor.

flashback.

"Neville Longbottom."

Neville nervously walked up and sat on the stool. He felt the hat touch his head.
"GRYFFINDOR!" it shouted The Gryffindor tabke burst out into cheers.

End flashback

Neville smiled. The first years were looking just as nervous as Neville was in his first year.
