You walk through a trap door in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room. The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake. There is a fire that burns green in the fireplace before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere. This is where the Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with each other. To the left a staircase that went down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase to the Girls Dorm. On the side of the fireplace is a signup sheet for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. Even though the whole dungeon had flooded last term, nothing had been damaged.

Aaron walked in smiling and looking around. He was so excited he pushed his way to the front of the mob so he could be first in the common room. He took a deep breath and looked around. Boy it was good o be back. He looked around and saw the notice board.

QUIDDITCH!!!!!!

He ran up and imeadietly signed up.

"Yes!" He said out load. He couldn't wait until the season started. It was going to rock. It was going to rock harder than Eddie VanHalen and Angus Young's kid if they had one.

He walked to one of the sofas to excited to go to sleep. He sat there jittery waiting for his friends to come in. He wanted to share his excitement wit them.

K got all her things unpacked in her dorm and signed up for QUIDDITCH! The first sept of her dream was made. She then went back to the common room to see who else had come into the common room. K was just so happy to be here in the Slytherin for she was fullfilling her families wishes and coutinuing the family glory of being in this amazing house. No it was just time to catch up with her friends and also meet some great cunning best of the best people just like her.

Evelyn walked back into the common room from the dorm, and looked around. There were only a few people here, she noticed, and went over to sit on one of the couches, as close to the fire as she could. She was surprised at first to see that the fire was green. 'Fitting.' she thought, mesmerized by the flickering flames. When she first came in here, she had went straight to the girls dorm without a second glance around the room. Now that she saw what it looked like, she was happy with what she saw, but also disappointed. 'No windows...' Evelyn thought, looking at the walls. 'Under a lake...' she remembered hearing that this place flooded once. 'Brilliant...' she sarcastically thought. Her owl hooted softly as if he read her mind and she rubbed his head and beak lightly. "I still haven't named you yet." she stared thoughtfully at him, his little black eyes slowly closing. Leaning back against the leather couch, she closed her own eyes and thought of her parents. 'Well, at least they could be proud that she was officially a Slytherin.' Evelyn smirked at the thought.

Scorpius entered the Common Room for the first time, and looked around letting it all sink in.

Scorpius then checked out the notice board, and saw the Quidditch sign-up.

Scorpius signed up for the tryouts, even though they normally dont let first years join, that might change once they'd seen him fly.

Scorpius noticed K signing up too.

"Hey K! Signing up as well?"

Helena came in quite awhile before most people after the Welcoming Feast, not once looking around at the place she had called home the past three years. Instead, she and her dry, light brown eyes went over to an armchair half-hidden in shadow and sat down, pulling her knees right up to her chest and setting her chin on them. Her eyes reflected the firelight, knowing she would not be able to avoid questions for long.

Delana half walked-half stumbled into the common room. She didn't much feel like unpacking, and it only seemed right that this be her first stop after the feast.
It was greater than she ever could have imagined. She looked around in awe, it was as close to perfect as she believed any room could be.

For a few moments she debated over what to do... sit down... leave... explore? Finally, she wandered over and leaned against a wall, slouching down little by little until she was sitting on the floor.

And there she was, staring into the fire, mesmerized; realizing her mind was made up for her.

Brayton walked into th common and gazed around at all the students filing up space. She couldn't decide whether or not to make her way up to the dormitory or not, so she decided to take just a minute and slump into one of the comfy armchairs near the fire.

Lannes walked into the common room and as he looked at his surroundings he froze. After looking around at the dampness and darkness of the room, he eventually said
"Well isn't this...cozy."
He examined the green emblems of slytherin that were everywhere. Green was never one of Lannes' favorite colors but he didn't mind. Finding a chair, he dusted it off with a sanatized napkin, then upon taking the professor's advice he disposed of the napkin to avoid the re-allocation of germs. The cleaning charms were bound to be some of Lannes' favorites and couldn't wait to learn them. Lannes sat away from the fire, as heat was not a preferred sensation. The leather chairs seemed nice, and were rather comfy. Despite original misgivings, Lannes began to enjoy himself. It may be a dungeon, but it was quite nice. Looking around at his surroundings, he was satisfied with his new home.

Arianna walked into the common room sighing with relief. Finally sleeeeeeep. She felt like a complete zombie after that train and feast. Her eyes were heavy, her legs seemed stuck in cement.

She looked around, everything was so... green. But it's supposed to be ok, after all, it's the Slytherin's house right? But it was beautiful any how. She searched the walls and read all memos left by professors and students. Quidditch tryouts ... that could be interesting..

She landed on a chair, just close enough to the fire place. She rubbed her eyes and yawned with her mouth fully open.

"Ahh my back...." Blake muttered as he dragged himself through a trap door and into a very dark and green looking common room. Thank God the feast was over but sadly, he barely ate anything. There was just so much going around him, he never got his hands properly on food, meh no doubt he'll be hungry in the middle of the night.

His eyes were droopy and he was soooo tired that he could collapse any minute. Rubbing his eyes, Blake's vision became more clearer. Oh, so this is their common room, eh? Not bad but too much green to be honest, they could've chosen some other color, maybe liaaak ELLO??? oorrr FINK??? Shrugging, he walked over to one of the dark big comfy chairs which was welcoming him with open arms, "Comeeee to meee Blakeee."

NUUU! He's hallucinating... one of the side-effects of his drowsiness, "I'm coming my loveee, I'm...almost there." Blake said out loud as he made his way towards the chair and let his whole body fall freely on it.

THUD!

"OWWWWWW!" Blake winced and jumped back to his feet, instead of falling on the chair, he fell flat on the solid ground and bruised his fore-head, well at least this helped his mind to zap back to reality.

Rubbing his forehead with a frown, Blake looked around the common room annd.........spotted Helena, meep!

"What am I going to do?" Blake thought, Chris did tell him honestly about the whole drama between him, Helena and the other girl he liked but she's dying, oh poo. No no, he's not going to inform her about Chris's confrontation noway.

Blake walked up to Helena, eek his forehead was stinging. Bending down on his knees, he tapped lightly on Helena's arm just to make sure she wasn't asleep and he wasn't absentmindedly apologizing to a sleeping person. "Umm--I'm sorry." Awesome, first day and he was already asking for forgiveness, way to go Blake.

Evan sighed in relief as he managed to find the common room. Man, the castle was biiiig! But luckily, their common room was the easiest: you just had to follow the stairs down. He entered to the room, and stood by the entrance to take it all in. It was green and awesome! So they were truly under the lake? Really? Wicked cool! He bet the others didn't have such cool rooms. Hehe.

He was glad that the feast was over, but he felt hungry because he could barely touch his food. He didn't mind though, he was sure that the breakfast tomorrow would be the best again. Eva and the others were right about food, it was delicious!

Muffling a yawn, he now looked at the people. Blake, some first years he didn't know and... of course Andy Aaron. He hoped expected for Lyra and Fallon to be here, but they weren't. He was alone with Andy Aaron. Luckily Blake was here, talking to a girl. He smiled to both of them and sat in front of the fireplace. His blue eyes reflected the fire as he sat there, just thinking how nice it was to be here, away from all Muggle nonsense.

Gabby walked into the Slytherin form room and saw a gathering of people around the notice board. She walks over and notices that it's the quidditch sign up sheet. Yes she said, excitedly. She picked up a quill, but then turned to the nearest person. Are first years allowed to sign up? she wondered. Gabby put her name down anyway, and waited to see if she was allowed.

She walked over to the sofas in the middle of the room and sat down, waiting for her friends to come in.

Evan saw a girl came in and check the board. What was there to make every people shout excitedly? He was about to go and check when he heard the girl asking something. Evan wasn't sure, but if Joshua was a firstie and if he could try out...

"I think they are." he called out after the girl and turned his blue eyes back to the fire. He was so bored that he even considered talking to Andy Aaron. But nooo, he wouldn't embarrass himself again. He looked around hopefully to show that he was sitting there alone. He wasn't the type to go up and talk. Never.

He wondered where Lyra and Fallon was again. He was shocked to realise those two were nearly always on his mind. He needed to get distraction, but he was too shy to talk to someone. Good combination.

Home Sweet Home!
Lyra walked through the stone wall after having said the password and stepped in to the Slytherin common room. It looked just as it did last year, but one biiiig major difference. There was no water!!.
Her eyes scanned the place for a few moments when she heard a familiar voice near the fireplace. Grinning to herself, Lyra saw it was Evan and he looked a bit bored. She looked at who he was calling to and saw a girl , perhaps around their age but since she had no idea what the question was she shrugged her shoulders and walked towards the fireplace.
"And? what you think of our common room?" Lyra said as she sat next to Evan and looked at him with a twinkle in her eyes. "Its a bit cold but ...well for me its a second home" She said and looked around the common room. Despite being a second year and had had only one year of education, Lyra had experienced alot in this common room. They had been horrible but still Lyra called this her second home.

Sloane had unpacked her things in the dorm and headed for the common room, she carried her D.A.D.A book with her. Classes were starting soon and she had high expectations for herself, basically whatever she did her marks needed to be higher than her sisters. She waved to Delana as she walked in and found a study table.

Through the sleepy foggy thing her eyes were now, she managed to see a boy and a girl, sitting nearby, she yawned again, and shook her head trying to get rid of all the sleepiness she was feeling. She looked at the boy and smiles " Hei " she said waving a sleepy hand in his direction " I might try-out for the Quidditch team too, just to see what I'm worth... I never played before, maybe I'll come out being a star or something... or at least that's everybody's dream, to turn out to be a start at something and have everyone looking at you with their mouths open" she giggled and rolled her eyes in disbelieve of her own words, speaking, as usual, too much. She then looked at the girl that had asked the question " I'll go with you if you like" and she smiled friendly. "Oh, I'm Arianna, by the way"

Evan was really bored and tired. He thought of going to bed, but then one of the people he longed for sat next to him. He smiled for a second but then yawning surpassed it and he yawned for a long time before he could answer. "It's perfect!" he said in joy. It'd of course be cold, duh, they were under lake after all. But he didn't want to upset Lyra, so he said "I hope it'll be my second home too."
The second year heard someone talk as he finished his sentence. He turned to see who she was. "Hai." he said and smiled. There were so many girls in the school! He wondered why the amount of boys were so few, then shrugged. He was too sleepy to think properly. He had to struggle for some seconds to give his full attention to the girl, then sighed disappointed. She too was a Quidditch freak fan. Evan could never understand what they found in the game, you just flew and try not to fall. Soccer was much better. He chuckled with her. "Yeah, I guess. I have no passion and talent for Quidditch, so I look at every flying person open mouth. You'll have at least me looking in amazement." he said and chuckled again, hardly muffling a sigh. Why didn't he have magical passions either? "I'm Evan Cartwright." he said back again in his thick Scouse accent. He knew that introduction was for the girl, but he didn't care, the more people he met, the merrier he'd be.

Gabby looked around when then lad spoke to her. Thanks she said and smiled at him. She turned around and wrote her name down on the board.

Gabby looked at the girl who also was writing her name down on the quidditch sign up sheet. I have played before. My brother, Warrick, taught me and I really like it. Don't worry it's dead easy to pick up! I'll give you a few pointers if you want." She paused and placed the quill down. I'm Gabriella, but call me Gabby. Nice to meet you Arianna Gabby said, smiling at her. She walked over to the sofas (where the lad was sitting!!!) and sat down. So, what year are both of you in? she asked, both Arianna and the boy she didn't know the name of... yet!

Seeing a girl sitting by herself in the corner, Gabby gets up and walks over to her. Hey she says, sitting down actually on top of the desk! What's your name? Gabby asked, wanting to make a friend.

Sloane looked up and smiled, chuckling slightly at the girl who now sat on the desk. "Hi, my name is Sloane Hans..uh first year. Yourself?"She closed her DADA book and folded her hands over it.

Lyra laughed as she saw Evan yawn. "You are that tired?" she asked and sat with her legs crossed her eyes twinkling. It felt good just sitting and talking to Evan. Lyra looked at the second year that had knocked her over in Diagon Alley and to her, that was maybe the best day of her life. Still a bit struggling with her feelings, Lyra couldn't deny that Evan was cute. Personality wise and appearance wise. But she was too young to date and Lyra knew that Evan didn't think of her in that way too cause he had said it himself in Scribulus. So she decided to just be friends with him and see how the future would turn out.

"you will love this common room" she said smiling sweetly at him and made hand movements as though she was hypnotising him. Laughing, Lyra looked up as another girl had walked towards Evan. Deciding that, even though the girl hadn't said a hi to her, she would still be polite and say something. "Hey Arianna" she said and smiled at her but then saw a notice board in the common room that had caught her attention. She stood up and walked towards it and after reading it she walked back to Evan and Arianna again, sighing deeply. "i'm not trying out this year" she said more to Evan cause he knew more about her quidditch passion and as she said those words she felt a pang of sadness run through her.

Yeah, I'm a first year too. I'm Gabriella, but please call me Gabby! Gabby said, laughing. You already studying? Me too! As soon as I got my books I was reading them. I want to make sure that I get the best results possible... Well, I need to if I want to become and Auror she said.

The passage opened and Lazarus stepped inside his common room. Slytherin, the noble house! He was very excited and beamed as he saw his fellow Slytherins. He made his way for the boy's dormitory to sort through his trunk.

Seeing what a fellow first year (who she recognised from the sorting) Gabby walked over to the boy who had just entered. Hey, what's your name? Well, I'm Gabby and I'm a first year as well. she said, hoping she wasn't being too factual!

"I don't think I'll even be worth looking at, I'll probably just fall to the ground on my first attempt" she said with a chuckle. " Nice to meet you Evan"

"Thank you, that's so nice of you, I'll probably need some pointers to be true... My sister played but she never let me fly on her broom, so I'm all about the watching..." she pulled her messy hair from her face and made a low pony tail " I think I'll go to sleep now.. I see we have early lessons tomorrow, and I'm feeling reaaaally tired, I'll catch you two tomorrow?" she asked with a smile as she rose from her seat.

She smiled one last time after their answer and went to the girls dormitory.
