Cale walked into the bathroom, too lazy to try and find the prefect bathroom right now. He kept getting lost in this silly castle. Besides, he was just popping in to check up on his hair. He had found another--gasp--THREE hairs on his pillow this morning. If all the stress from this breakup caused him to go bald, he was sooooo blaming Anna Greingoth. And Paul Kutcher, wherever he was.

He whistled and walked up to the mirror, adjusting his curls so they hung just the right way on his forehead. He turned his head side to side as well, making sure that Ezra hadn't snuck into his dorm and shaved them off during the night, as she threatened many times. Nope. Still there and as perfect as ever, just like his hair.

Lucas ran into the bathroom. His map had everything but the locations of the all the bathrooms! He went into the stall and did his business. He didn't like people looking at him in the bathroom.

When he was finished he went to the sink to wash his hands. He looked up and saw the Gryffindor prefect he had met in Diagon Ally. "Hi Cale." he said brightly as he stood up on his tip toes to turn on the water. "Are you ok? You don't look loved." He said as he reached for the soap.

Remus entered the bathroom. Two boys were already in there so he decided to use a stall. He mumbled a short hi to the Gryffindor Prefect and the other boys before he ducked into the nearest one. When he finished he left the stall and walked over towards the sinks. He quickly washed his hands and left. He had a long walk to his first class.

ZOMG. Hugo had a hair out of place. He took a side route, and dashed into the bathroom on the sixth floor. Barging a curly haired Gryffindor out of the way, he peered into the mirror. Ahhhh, perfection at its best. "Oops, sorry mate." He shuffled across to another mirror, allowing Curly Boy to take his place next to him. Hmmm. It seemed like another boy in Hogwarts had the same trouble keeping his perfect hair perfect.

YESSS!

He wasn't alone!

"Oh, hi Lucas," Cale said with a smile, pushing a curl out of his face. Gah. He needed some of Ezra's hair gel or something. Not that she would ever let him use it or anything, but he could still steal some. "Nah, I'm fine...what are you doing?" he asked.

BAM! Suddenly, someone was hogging HIS mirror, to check HIS hair. Like it actually looked better than HIS curly locks? Pssh. Probably not. But, he had apologized a second later, so no hard feelings. "It's ok," he said with a smile. He had finished checking his hair anyways.

"I'm Cale, by the way, Gryffindor sixth year," he said, introducing himself to the newcomer.

Lucas watched him play with his hair. It was like watching his sisters get ready to go somewhere. Fussing over every strand of hair, every hair bow placement. "I know how to braid hair if you want me to do yours. My sister Paris made me learn how cause my hands are so small. I can make the tiny little braids." he offered to Cale. He finished washing his hands and rinsing them. He had to jump up to reach the towels to dry his hands. "I'm exploring Hogwarts and making a map." He told him.

Hugo scooted towards his mirror, nose practically pressing against the glass. Phew; he was God. It was okay, no harm was done. Flicking his golden blonde hair from his face, he turned to peer at the Curly Boy. "Good. I just panicked for a sec." He gestured to his hair. "If it was on the wrong side...Lettie would get real angry." He shuddered, and then realised that this boy wouldn't know Evolette. "Lettie's my best friend." He added, with a small smile.

Or maybe he DID know her.

But of course, he'd know her as Evolette, not Lettie. Meh, whatever.

"Nice to meet you Cale." Hugo beamed, holding out his hand to the Prefect. "Congrats of prefecture." He added, with a small wink. "I'm Hugo Woods, Pleasure to meet ya."

Hugo's eyes moved to Cale's companion. He grinned at the boy, and nodded in greeting. "Hey. I'm Hugo." He waved with his hand that was not outstretched to Curly Boy.

He looked over at the other older boy. "Hello. I'm Lucas, Lucas Greenwood." He said waving and smiling at the older boy. "Nice to meet you Hugo." he said formally.

Cale chuckled. "Maybe some other time. I was just popping in before class."

"A map, you say?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Have you found anything interesting?" he asked with a sly grin.

"Lettie? What's that short for?" he asked. He only assumed it was a nickname of some sorts--it sounded like Hugo and this Lettie girl were really close. He glanced back into the mirror to check his sideburns. They needed a trim soon. "Nice to meet you, Hugo."

Hugo's eyes tore away from his reflection, and peered at the younger boy. "Nice to meet you too Lucas." He replied pleasantly, returning his attention to the mirror.

"Hmm?" Hugo said absentmindedly. He was fairly preoccupied with staring at his hair. Gah! There was just ONE piece that wouldn't stay in place. Shoving his hand into his pocket, he retrieved some hair product. Scooping out a blob, he rubbed it between his fingertips and ruffled it into his hair. Ahhh, much better. "Lettie? Short for Evolette. Evolette McKenna; my best friend. She's new here, so you probably won't know her. Or maybe you will." He shrugged. "She's in Slytherin, like me."

He looked at him. "I'm always around if you want me to." Lucas told him.

"Yes a talking map of the whole school like Dora uses." He said with a giggle. "Its going to be the best map every. I found a tunnel behind a mirror, but it didn't lead anywhere." he told him matter of factly.

He smiled at him. "You have really nice hair." He told him since he seemed to really love playing with his hair. "Do you like it when your mommy combs it?" He asked.

Oh! My! God! This was not good, not good at all. A hair emergency!

Practically running into the boys’ bathroom, Seth needed to get this hair problem over with NOW! He was not going to be seen with his hair in such a state. Curse those curly blonde hairs of his! No matter how much hair products he seemed to put on them to keep them from curling, they always found a way to manage to his mood sometime during the day. Surely, there had to be a spell or something that would keep his hair-do the way he wanted it for the whole day….

“Prefect coming through!” the fifth year blonde warned as he quickly walked through the boys’ bathroom and found himself a mirror and sink. Whipping his ‘emergency’ hair comb out of his robe pockets, he quickly got his blonde head wet and started combing it very carefully to get his hairstyle just right again. Merlin this was going to take forever!

Lucas danced out of the way of a blond boy running into the bathroom and attacking his hair with a comb. What was with these boys and their hair. They were worse than his sister Paris when she had a bad hair day. "You know its harder to style your hair when its wet." He pointed out to the boy who said he was a prefect. Well Lucas saw the badge on his robes.

After running his comb through his hair a few more times here and there, Seth was rather pleased at how quickly this was going. Maybe he would not miss his next class, not as if missing one lesson was that much of a biggie. There were bound to be thousands more before the term would end, right? Right.

You know it’s harder to style your hair when it’s wet.

Was he, Seth Paton, hearing things? No. He couldn’t be. Someone was in here with him – a small someone. Taking a quick glance past his shoulder through the mirror, he saw a little kid. Surely the voice he had heard matched with this small boy. Turning around, Seth raised his eyebrows slightly and coolly said, “And what, exactly, makes you believe that is a fact?”

Looking over the boy’s shoulder, Seth noticed that he and the other boy were not the only ones in here. Strange. Had they been in here the whole time? He did not even know the other kids. Well … he knew one of them. No one other than Mr. Crazy Hair himself, Cale Newell. Great, just great.

Quickly turning his attention back to the smallest kid of the group of boys that were already in the bathroom, he quickly ran his comb through his blonde hair as he waited for what the boy had for an answer. This will be interesting, he thought, trying his best to suppress a snort.

Cale's eyebrows rose at the mention of Evolette. So, this must be one of her close friends. Perhaps this Hugo kid knew about the little act him and Evolette were putting on? Hmmm, it didn't seem so. He had acted like there was no way in the world Cale could have known her. "Oh yeah, I know Evolette. She's cool," he said with a smile. There. He'd leave it at that.

"Dora? Who's Dora?" Cale asked, wrinkling his eyebrows. "Is she like, a relative or something? A map will probably be really handy." he told him with a smile.

Cale had been intending on ignoring Mr. Pompus Prefect over at the other sink, but his attitude towards Lucas made him angry. He glared at Seth and crossed his arms. "How do you expect to gain any respect if you're not gonna be nice to people, huh Paton?" he asked him coolly.

Nathaniel walked into the boys bathroom and walked up to the mirror. WAIT! What was that in his hair?! he thought to himself. He was fixing his hair and saw a blue streak in his hair. Where did that come from?. Nate had a worried look on his face as he looked around at the other boys not knowing what to do.
