Zouwu Coaster

The Worple and Warmsley Magical Travelling Carnival have brought with it, all the way from China, their Zouwu Coaster!

Are you brave enough to climb aboard one of our colourful, gigantic elephant-sized cats, with their striped bodies and scraggly manes? Don’t be scared by their four fangs curling out of their mouth, or their long and sharp claws. These Zouwu have been trained with love and are as friendly as a loyal boarhound. Their overly long, and multicoloured tails will bring joy to your eyes as you climb up it, onto their backs. Sure, there’s no harnesses to secure you, but you’ll feel like someone has just cast a sticking charm on you.

A designated ticket booth has been set up, with a Carnival worker yelling "Ride the Zouwu Coaster! Only 3 Galleons!" There are two lines, with signs 'Adrenaline Junkie' and 'Leisurely Stroll' instructing you where to line. Should you wish to go for an Adrenaline Junkie Ride, we have two young Zouwu, full of energy! Make sure you hold on as the Zouwu takes you on a thrilling ride around Diagon Alley, darting around shops and obstacles, and leaping over buildings at over 80 miles an hour. However, if you wish to go for the Leisurely Stroll, particularly popular if you have small children or aren’t interested in the thrilling ride, we’ve brought our elderly Zouwu who will take you on a much slower tour around Diagon Alley.

Adrenaline Junkies will take ten minutes of fast paces action, but our Leisurely Stroll may take up to thirty depending on how many sniffing spots our Zouwu needs to inspect.

Emily was pulled out of her thoughts as the girl in front turned to answer her question, causing Emily to quickly pull the hair out of her mouth. Chewing on her lower lip she nodded silently in agreement to the other girl's statement before she asked tentatively. "Can we ride together? I’m scared of sliding off the cat."

Harri COULDN'T wait to get on that thing. What was taking so long? She wanted on the zouwu! Was it her turn yeeeeeeet?

Obviously the same could not be said for the girl who nudged her earlier. Hearing the girl's words, Harri nodded eagerly. "Sure! I'll make sure you don't fall." Or at least she could try to. Rides were so much more fun when you had a companion. Even if they were slightly scared at first. Harri had to give props to the other girl though for still wanting to ride the coaster even if she was feeling scared. "We're going to have so much fun!" Beam!

The other girl was practically beaming with excitment and clearly couldn’t wait until she sat on the gigantic zouwou cat. Emily felt bad for feeling nervous and scared but she shouldn’t right? It was okay to be nervous and a little scared when faced with something you hadn’t tried before like this coaster. It was only natural. Trying to hold on to that thought as the lined thinned out and moved forward Emily gulped and smiled weakly as the other girl agreed to ride with her. "I’m Emily!" she introduced herself. "Look’s like it’s our turn now..."

Walking slowly towards the cat Emily hoped that when she got up on the coaster cat she’d feel as happy as the other girl.

It was like she set herself up just for him. And that thought made him smirk. He turned his eyes towards the front of the line again, catching the sign in his vision. "Three galleons?" he muttered to himself as he dug his hand in his pocket, making sure he had enough. That was a little pricey, wasn't it? "This better be some ride."

Aaliyah looked around and nodded. "Yeah. The slow way is probably a bit more romantic." After all, there was a difference between holding on and holding on for dear life.

"We should also see if there's any games where you can win a stuffed animal." Because, Aaliyah was interested in becoming the proud new owner of something to cuddle.

She looked back towards Emily, a reassuring smile on her face as she took one of the other girl's hands with her own to gently pull her towards the coaster that awaited them. "Let's go!" And off she went, climbing onto the zouwu.

Before Emily could think more on it or get more scared Harri had took her hand and was gently pulling her towards the empty coaster, climbing onto the waiting zouwou. Taking a breath she climbed up behind Harri and mouthed in the other girl’s ear. "What are we supposed to hold on to?"

Hand in hand with Emily, Harri's blue eyes regarded the creatures multi-colored tails like a five-year old kid on Christmas morning. SO COOL. And they were high on top of said creature too. She was so excited for the ride to start.

Even as Emily asked that, she only gave her a wide smile. "We hold on to each, of course!" Because what was any kind of safety measure to an eleven year old who was drowning in excitement? Although, she did feel like some kind of invisible harness kept them in place. Surely the carnival people took care of that part?

"And you point is??" Maeve challenged him, rolling her eyes. "Ladies first." She said simply enough, stepping back in front of him. She shook her head about the answering bit though, a small smile. "Obviously it was rhetorical and I could care less what you think of any odors."

"No one is forcing you to ride." Just saying. If he was going to be so sour about it and the ridiculously high prices about it.

Eivan gave this girl a very unimpressed look. "My point is, I was here before you, I ride before you." That's how it worked, it was a very basic understanding. "Why is it that girls want equal rights only when it suits them? Otherwise it's crap like ladies first... you can't have it both ways." He stepped in front of her again, more purposefully this time, nudging her hard with his elbow in the process. He didn't know why she asked then, but he also didn't care what she thought so he didn't bother asking.

What. "Who asked you?" No one, that's who. He had been talking to himself, not this nosy girl. "What's it to you anyway?" he asked without looking behind him. "You're the one who asked if I was gonna ride in the first place." Stalker.
