Pep Rally: The Crafting Corner

Throughout the pep rally, plenty of space has been set aside and devoted to mingling, socialising and creating your entry in one of the competitions set up. Decorations and banners in the colours of all four houses are hung up in every direction, and from this area it's hard to miss the nearby enticing food buffet.

Here is where everyone, staff or student, can meet up, show off house spirit get-ups, talk Quidditch (or homework... if you really want to), or make a new friend or three. Use this area to interact with each other, show some house pride, rally some pep, and generally just have a good time.

Are you interested in showing off your creative skills by cheering on your House team? The Captains have set up 3 competitions for their classmates to join:

1. Create the best chant to cheer your team to victory for the last two games!
2. Create the most impressive booster costume to show off your House pride!
3. Create the best banner or poster the players can see all the way from the back of the Stands!


Long tables with paper, crayons and fabric of all types and colors are prepared. Rumour has it there are some exclusive prizes to be won at the end of the day...

OOC: If you wish to create an entry for the competitions, this thread is where you create your poster/costume/chant. The entries can be made individually or in pairs or groups. They can be a graphic or hand-drawn picture or description based.

Simply put "Entry" as the label for the post of your entry.
If you wish to use a graphic, you can link to your image in that post.

This event is open to multiple characters, not only your Hogwarts student. Characters played in this thread must be listed in your profile, and it should be clear when you are playing different characters by your purposeful usage of varying fonts, colours, etc.

This was super exciting and Chloe was going to make the best costume in the world even if she wouldn't be really wearing it in the stands since she will be playing in the match, but THAT WASN'T GOING TO STOP HER!!!


She was going to make an eagle with really big wings and maybe one of her older friends could make it actually fly, because that would be super cool!

Beau was...bored. And he was trying his hardest to find something to do that wasn't boring and here he was. Here. Right here. About to....craft?

Wanna know what he was gonna make?

A supportive banner for himself. One that he could duplicate and get first years to hold up in support for he who was not on the pitch.

OH and maybe he'd make something funny about Anna being rubbish. Funny funny funny. Ah, revenge.

"Oi, McCarthy! Pass me some of that red fabric?" Hm, actually... "Have you been invited on this stupid family holiday this summer?" She...was...kinda family, right?

Man, families were confusing.

She was having fun!

Chloe had cut out the wings and was working on some feathers when she heard someone. Looking up she noticed the older boys robes before moving her eyes to his face. Ooooh that was Beau, she remembered hearing about her Uncle dating and knew it was Beau's mother.

"I don't know, but that sounds super fun! Can I go? I mean are you going? Does this mean we are family? Are you my cousin now? Do we get to be in a wedding?"

As the questions spewed out of the blonde's mouth she couldn't help but picture herself as a junior bridesmaid and what pretty dresses she could wear.

This girl talked ALMOST as much as Beau did! WOWEE she seemed a bit cooler than he had thought she was. Not that he would TELL her that -- because she was sworn Quidditch enemy. (Heck, even some of his own team were his Quidditch enemies)

Those were a lot of questions and Beau had counted them on his hand. So five fingers up in total, but then he put one down with each answer he gave. "Ask Warner! I'm going, duh. Not sure. Probably unofficially? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh maybe one day?????????" And there it was! ALL FIVE FINGERS WERE DOWN!

And this Gryffindor still didn't have his red fabric. So he pointed at it and gestured that she should PASS IT OVER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

He was answering all her questions, but she wasn't sure if she was getting actual answers. Scrunching her nose up she tried to focus on his answers, "I'll ask Uncle Warner, but he always says yes." She couldn't wait to owl him, she might even start the letter after her costume was finished.

Speaking of finishing was he pointing at something, oh right, she picked up the fabric and handed it to him. "Do you know how to ski? I like skiing, it's super fun. I have pink skis." She hadn't went many times, but she enjoyed it when her family did.

His comment about one day got her thinking, "It would be so fun to wear a pretty dress and get to walk down the aisle as a bridesmaid, maybe you would have to wear a tux and we would have to walk together." She giggled a little just joking, her two brothers would be there too, but it was fun to think about all of them being together. "You have a sister too, don't you?"

Had Beau just unintentionally invited someone that KNEW how to ski? Someone that would be better than him? Ah no no no no no. This was a bad idea. Bad idea. TIME TURNER REQUIRED RIGHT NOW. "I'm a champion skier." Yes. Lying worked. He'd just ski without her. Pretend he had to go to a champion slope when really he was taking beginner classes.

DUH.

"... No offence, but, like... my Mum probably wouldn't ask you to be bridesmaid. She'd just have Smeliane. That's my sister." AND they probably weren't going to get married anyway. Old people didn't do that and Warner was probably almost in his sixties.
