Nominations were announced Tuesday morning for the 90th annual Academy Awards, with a few familiar faces getting recognized.
Harry Potter films' musical score composers - and already Oscar-winning legends - John Williams and Alexandre Desplat, received nominations for their work in
Star Wars: The Last Jedi and
The Shape of Water, respectively.
Sirius Black counterpart Gary Oldman got his second Oscar nomination this year for his already-award-winning work as Winston Churchill in
Darkest Hour; the movie's director of photography, Bruno Delbonnel (who helmed the lens for
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) got recognized in the Achievement in Cinematography category.
