Band Merchandise

Set along the back wall of the shop and pressing up against the door to the recording booth is an area devoted specifically to displaying the various band merch offered up for sale. The wall is lined completely with tee shirts, stacks of which can be found in cube shelving beneath along with an assortment of band-related hoodies, all charmed to look to the Muggle eye as if they bear the logos of popular Muggle bands instead of Wizarding ones. A few tables bear a hodge-podge of items to be browsed: band logo jewelery and keychains take up almost one in its entirety, heavily laden displays marked with band names for easy searching. The next is covered in sturdy white cardboard boxes filled with music-related magazines, each labeled on the front with the magazine's name. Thumbing through them, you'll find the newest issues nearest the front, and older issues toward the back. Continue further and you'll find more things that might catch your interest - binders full of old concert tickets, stickers, guitar picks bearing group names, banners, posters, and scrolls can all be found, if you look hard enough.

Atticus has taken care to organise the area to make finding what you're looking for as easy as possible, and precautions have been taken to make sure it stays that way. Should you change your mind about any item and set it down, you'll find that after a short time it will make its way back to where it belongs all on its own. Nonetheless, please do try not to make a mess, or you might find a slightly irritated magazine batting you on the back of the hand - all of its own accord, of course.

"Uh... in the uniform shop?" She teased with a little grin. Uniform buying was boring. Luckily she didn't have that problem this year. "I don't need to buy any new ones. Result of not growing at all" She mused with a laugh. She was tiny, but she didn't mind. It didn't bother her, so that was okay.

It was so nice to have PROPER permission to go into Diagon Alley by himself again. Last year was....difficult because Beau HAD gone by himself but then forgotten to come home for a few days - BUT it was TOTALLY for the right reasons! His MUM had been DATING again! IT WAS THE WORST TIME EVER EVER EVER. But now things were good and Beau ACTUALLY liked Warner a whole lot. So his independence had been GIFTED back to him.

And with the money he'd saved in the sale for Jolie's anniversary present, he had enough money to get some stuff he'd been eyeing up for a while. The good stuff. The music stuff. The band stuff.

The stuff that made girls think he was cool and hot.

Music was officially Cool. It was basically the first rule of being cool, liking Cool Music, and Józef wasn't actually sure what music was cool, so he was here for research purposes. With the little money that his mother had given him to spend on something interesting (or rather, what little was left after having spent some on sweets and Quidditch posters) he was going to stock up on all of the music magazines.

"E'SCUSE ME."

LOTS of magazines, new and old, were in his arms as he manoeuvred around the other boy that was in the area to look at KEY CHAINS.

Did it matter that he didn't have keys?

He hadn't reached that part of his thought process yet.

Hmmmmmmm. Which stuff was the coolest?

Beau was still looking over the back wall at all of the options, whilst using his fingers to touch touch touch everything he could. Which was softest kind of clothing? Which printing was the strangest? Which felt like it would go funny after a wash? Split after time? There were a lotttttt of things to take into consideration when buying merchandise to make one look cool.

Scuse? WHo? SCUSE WHO? Who where? Beau spun to look which-a way this person was a-scusing and was a little bit arm happy... because he hit the boy in the chest and knocked those magazines up up up and dOoOooooooOOOOwn around them.

"Um.........."

"Oooooops???"

Fact of life: band tees are, like, the raddest tees ever. Another fact of life: Nofar is the raddest person ever. Putting those two facts of life together, combined with her staggering amount of free time, Nofar found herself hightailing it to Diagon Alley (diagonally. really. who nerd came up with that.) for a serious spout of band tee shopping.

Also, Eliana was busy. Which, BOO. Pfft.

Natalie didn't really own many band tees... Maybe, like, one. They weren't her favorite, but she honestly didn't really listen to a lot of music besides her mother's weird classical music, so it's not like she knew most of the bands on these tshirts anyway.

So really, it was only kind of odd that Natalie was in a music shop. She just wanted to look. She spent a lot of time in Diagon Alley in the summer. As much as she loved the beach, sometimes she just wanted to go out and people watch. That's what she was doing today.

And the next girl that walked into the shop made it very worthwhile. She captured Natalie's attention quite quickly (obviously, because she yelled... to everyone in the shop). But she also kept Natalie's attention... because she was gorgeous. Like, extremely gorgeous. And that hair...

Oh, yeah. She was staring. Oops.

Nofar Azulai was not much of a noticer. Y'know? Small things like fire, dead people, exploding potions, those were all just normal things that seemed to happen around her, even back home. It had made her 1. immune to outside distractions, and 2. VERY good at blocking out the world at large.

That being said, Nofar has a theory of life that EVERY girl has a sixth sense. The sense of "someone is looking at me in THAT sort of way and I need to look amazing regardless of who this is, strike a POSE." Right girls? We all know the one. Eli was particularly good at it, it was hilarious to see her in action. Nofar had plans to catch up on alllll the time she'd missed when she was holed up in that North Pole of a school and get back int the GAME. YEAH.

Picking out her 8th tee in the 120 seconds she'd been browsing, the brunette felt her pose-y senses tingling. Ooooooooooooooh. Straightening her back and jutting out her hip, Nofar was every bit the grinning peacock as she continued to brows the racks with a shine in her eyes.

She will, in a moment, turn around and scan the room for the stare-er, whoever they may be. PLEASE, lord of things that come true, PLEASE let them be attractive. She does not do well with creepers at all, they'll throw her out of the store and she only JUST got here. KTHXLUV U, Nof.

Maybe Natalie didn't read people very well or maybe she just didn't know what she expected from this newcomer, but... well, she was quite interesting. She supposed her grand entrance should have warned her. Was it just her, or was this girl posing?? Were there even cameras in here? Natalie actually looked around to see if there was any security. Also, was anyone else seeing this?

The pretty girl was getting closer to her and Natalie tried to act discreetly. Her curiosity was piqued, though. She was pretty, but she was quite strange. And Natalie was not sure about that combination. So, she was still watching, just more discreetly. Hopefully.

Chewing on without a care in the world, Nofar got distracted by an absolutely BEAUTIFUL tee, all torn and barely covering her belly button oh this would work SO well with the jeans she bought yesterday! Momentarily forgetting all about the person who was watching her she started making her way to the changing rooms.

Back home, she'd just hog a random mirror in the shop and change in front of it, but Nofar had LEARNED things like how to make a calming draught AND how to not offend the squeamish British people. Changing outside of the changing rooms? OFFENSIVE. Puh-lease. There'd better not be a line, otherwise she'd get annoyed and probably just decide to go for it anyway. Which was a bad idea. Right? Bad.

Truly, at first, Natalie was mildly overwhelmed by how pretty and cool this girl was. Now she was just somewhat confused. She was quite out there, wasn't she? But oh, she was on the move. Natalie paid her full attention to the clothing rack in front of her, only glancing at the girl as she moved past her... and winked at her.

Natalie blinked and felt the blood rush to her cheeks, stunned momentarily. "Hello to you too..." she mumbled to herself as the girl went to the changing rooms. For some reason, Natalie felt embarrassed. The girl probably saw her blatantly staring at her. What was she thinking?

Staring after the girl for a moment, Natalie suddenly felt the urge to run away, very quickly.

So she did.

Well, no, she didn't run. But she waited for the girl to enter the changing room and then casually made her way to the door. Maybe some fresh air would do her some good.

Could they just kick all the pages under the nearest counter and pretend it never happened? Actually picking them up sounded SO MUCH more difficult than just grabbing a handful of organised and stacked magazines from the boxes.

Beau was mildly uncomfortable with said staring.

But he stared on back. Did not break the stare until the other boy did.

"You dropped some stuff." If he hadn't noticed, you know. Beau pussssssshhhhhhed some things out of the way with his feet and shrugged. "Problem solved." Because they could just grab the stuff that they wanted and LEAVE the area. Right?

Dammit! He wanted to stomp his food in frustration when he realised that, but refrained - stomping feet was definitely the opposite of cool. As was tidying up, so when he saw the older other kid push stuff with his feet, Jó joined in, before taking a few steps backwards, AWAY from the crime scene.

"Problem solved," he repeated, nodding in agreement. Now he could just grab another stack of magazines. Which he did, not really looking this time at who was on the covers because he needed to do this QUICKLY and get out of here before the shopkeeper came and arrested him.

Probably with a hot wife or winning the lottery or having an unlimited supply of pizza vouchers. He made a few tutting noises when the other boy took the time to grab more magazines and EVEN a shirt.

"We don't have tiiiiiiiime for them. Move, move MOOOOoooooOOve."

No time for dilly dallying. No time to make purchases.

Only time to RUN away from the scene of the CRIME.

Józef's eyes widened and he immediately dropped the things in his arms. Luckily, this time, they remained in a nice neat stack and he actually made effort to put them on a table, and not the floor. He was still bemused, though, and his face said as such even though he knew it was the opposite of cool.

"Where are we GOING?" he managed, looking from side to side. Was there somewhere to hide? Were they leaving? Was the shopkeeper coming?!
