One of those changes is the policy to allow people in. Members of the public are welcome to come in and get a visitor pass from the receptionist then they can peruse an abbreviated archive of Daily Prophet editions, sign up for a subscription, speak with a journalist, or submit their own piece if they are a freelance writer. While they may not be able to explore the building in its entirety, the reception area welcomes the wizarding public to come and see their newspaper.
OOC: Feel free to RP in this thread interacting with the receptionist (Deesey), looking at old papers, signing up for subscriptions, needing a journalist, looking for the editor, ducking in out of the rain, whatever you'd like.

Nomi sat down and adjusted her glasses that had yet again slid down her nose. Boy, she needed to get those fixed but that could be done after the interview. She clasped her hands together in her lap as she looked around the room.

Now that he sent Deesy to grab some tea, Jorge shuffled his papers together that he had grabbed and looked towards the woman. "Why don't we start by you telling me a little bit of yourself." Since it was open interviews, he hadn't gotten a resume ahead of time to get to know someone.
"Do you have a copy of an article you have written and names of some references?" That could help weed out if he was wasting his time or not, by looking over an article.
ooc: Sorry, computer issues. Will edit with second reference when I can

"Well, my name is Nomi and I have just finished a journalism course at a Muggle university in my previous location in New York. I attended Ilvermorny prior to that. I moved to London about six months ago to pursue a career as hopefully, a fashion/beauty columnist where I write about the latest trends and to advise those who wish to be advised."
She reached into her bag and pulled out an article that she had written regarding beauty advice.

Choosing the Right Cosmetics by Nomi Caplan
When it comes to selecting the correct cosmetic quite several factors must be taken into consideration. If you have blonde hair, it is best for you to use soft and natural hues. Blue-eyed blondes look best wearing silvery shades of eyeshadow. Those with eyes of brown can wear more plum-based shades of eyeshadow. Blondes with more olive skin tones do best with wearing earth tones. Do not wear very light tones if you’re pale.
If you have red hair, don’t use a makeup base that has the same tinting as your hair colour. Since redheads are known to be prone to sun damage, make sure you have a foundation with a high SPF rating. However, this reporter feels that this advice should be taken into consideration by everyone, no matter the colour of their hair or skin. Your skin will thank you. Eyeshadow wise, opt for soft brown or purple shades like plum. Never ever go for reddish lipstick but instead go for more neutral colours such as a demure pink.
Brunettes are quite fortuitous when it comes to cosmetics as they can get away with wearing many shades of make-up. Experiment with golden-brown and grey eyeshadow tones. If you’re a brunette, it is better for you to wear richer shades of lipstick and not pale shades such as pink. The darker the hair colour, the richer the lipstick shade.
Remember that it is best to take your time with your make-up and to, of course, have fun in the process.
"Oh, just a moment!" Nomi said as she pulled out a couple of references and handed them over.

Jorge listened without interrupting. He wanted to hear what she was saying and see if this would be a good fit. As she handed over her article and references he read through them and made a few notes. "Everything looks in order." He placed his notes into a folder he had grabbed and closed it.
"We are looking in all areas of the paper right now, but if you are hired can you do more then just lifestyles if needed?" He wanted his journalist to be a little versatile even if they didn't use it often.

Now where was Deesey with that tea?
Nomi nodded her head and smiled. "I'll be happy to work wherever I am needed, sir."
