It's interesting, Dan said in an interview with harrylatino.com that if he had to pick a ship, he would pick Harry and Luna because they are so alike. Just thought I'd toss that out there, as Dan knows a lot of the depths of Harry, as he plays him.

But I think Harry and Luna do have stuff in common, but not like Harry and Ginny, but the whole outcast, dealing with people looking at you like you're odd, and then feeling weird around people, and just wanting to be left alone too. So yeah, they both come from a similar place, which is to say nothing of the fact that they both have had loss in their past ...

But where they diverge is Harry's been popular and Luna never has. And when you think of it really while those are similar places to come from, they're hardly the most romantic aspects ... *sighs* but it would have been fun neways. I mean he did ask her to Sluggo's party ...

I think Harry and Luna could happen...and not just because Dan thinks so. I've been feeling that way since I read the final chapters of OotP.

Harry & Luna...too unusual...no way!

I still hope that this ship will happen. It's my favorite ship (besides R/Hr). I have my doubts that it might actually happen, but I can still hope.

Personally I really don't see this relationship happening. But, it's such a good idea, at least in my opinion. I mean sure she's loopy but loopy's good. It wouldn't work in terms of Harry's publicity but they'd look nice together. She's pretty and I'm sure she's smart under all her gibberish.

Apart from an avid R/Hr shipper, I'm an avid H/G shipper. So I don't think that Harry and Luna will ever get together.

They will make an interesting couple but I don't see them ending up together in DH.

I'm hoping for a R/Hr and H/G ship for the last book, of course!

Luna use to get on my nerves at first but then I grew to really like her.

I believe that H/L have a connection and more in common then meets the eye such as:

Luna stands firm in her beliefs and stands up for them
Luna believes things on faith alone
Luna is brave
Luna is somewhat isolated from other students at Hogwarts
Luna has lost a parent

Luna is very perceptive about human nature, and Harry often notes her knack for blunt honesty. But that is something Harry needs as he tends to take people on face value.

She is funny and would keep Harry on his toes with her stories.

She is gentle, kind and smart.

I've always noticed their relationship to be strange, they have so much in common. but i think they are kindred spirits not romantic. although it could happen-but that would mean Harry and Ginny getting over each other kinda quick...

I don't know why, but they seemed like an interesting couple. I think Ron/Luna is more probable, though.

Maybe it's just in the movie, but they seemed to get along really well in OotP.
