I love N/L. Neville has just been through so much, he has to find love! Luna is almost like his opposite: She's in Ravenclaw, so we can assume she is intellegant, and poor Neville isn't exactly the brightest (except for herbology ) She has a very open minded point of view, Neville usually prefers his comfort zone. They complete each other.

Neville is wonderful. He's made of so many different kinds of awesome. As is Luna in her own way.

But that's the thing with shipping, it matter not if "it'll work" in a single mind, but whether it is appreciated in the minds of those who love the ship. People ship Harry and Hermione. Many think it would not work (brother/sister relationship. Sometime a little mother/son), but the shippers feel it could. That's what matters.

I, personally, think it would work. Jo has said that Luna may freak Neville out with her other-than-normal ways of seeing the world, but we have seen Nevs become a stronger person, not despite but because of what he has been through. Luna has been through similar things (with losing her mother at such a young age) and possibly can relate. Neville's growing strength and personal development can make it so he won't "freak out" over Luna's ways. We have seen the pair grow closer and, even though we know JKR has said it will never be, won't let our ship sink.

But other than that, shipping is fun. People ship Crookshanks and Mrs. Norris for the love of Merlin (no offence. They'd totally make cute kittens with glarey red eyes). XD

I LOVE FF writers too!!! If you love N/L, you need to read the post its series. I want to write more N/L. Luna is wonderful and so much fun. She runs away with you sometimes

That's funny cuz I totally agree with Luna. I wish it would be canon but it's not going to be but that doesn't mean I can't pretend it is I know I'm totally insane and this makes no sense to you non-Ottery people that's just how I work. An otter of contradictions.

Luna and Neville should, and I think would make a very sweet, and a bit oddball couple, which would work wonderfully in HP. I could understand her not focusing on it in the books heavily but she could have written them together in the epilogue or something, they have to get married, unless of course Luna ends up with Draco which would just be weird because I always thought it should have been Draco/Ginny which is just another can of worms.

So, yeah, Luna/Neville is the ship!!!!!!!!!!111 So even if it isn't canon, which I would love, it's still gonna be one of my ships ... *gladly sinks with it* Oh look, a submarine

I love the N/L ship. Neville and Luna are perfect for each other! They're both in the 'Wierd' group and they're just way to alike to be different. J.K.R. should really let this set sail, not sink it. But, if it's sunk, I will never let N/L sink! This ship is way to perfect to sink.
It's just common sense that Neville and Luna will be together.

^Exactly. We know JK wouldn't lie about something really major (like R/Hr, for example, because if she did lie about that, she would have a lot of angry fans) , but N/L isn't a really huge part of the story, and, as she said, we aren't as scary as the R/Hr and H/Hr shippers. It won't make or break the series if it happens or not, and the popularity wouldn't really go down either. She could change her mind and decide to put it in. Or she could keep it out like she said. Who knows? My fingers are crossed.
