I mean, they are both so different and are "outsiders" in their own way. I know I've said this before (possibly many times  ) but in a mean world, Luna and Neville finding each other would be like finding a place of comfort where you know you belong. Like coming home.
Plus, they are both so ADORABLE and I can't see them with anybody else! =D | |

You find these two together in almost the same situations and same places in Book 5 and esp Book 6. The bumbling class 'joke' and eccentric 'lunatic' together? Perfection. | |

Of course! DUH! Harry has Ginny. NOT Luna. No one else has Neville. So, Neville and Luna are very simular. They don't have many friends and they get picked on by other students.

Actually Jo said their personalities were so disparate they wouldn't work  because Neville would be too afraid of Luna's 'ideas' which is fine, but then why'd the two characters keep coming together in HBP? That's all I'm sayin' they've got minds of their own that's why. *Fires the cannons* I think Neville and Luna would be a bit of an odd ship, but that's because they're both so different ... but I could totally see it working ... I mean it's not like they have to talk about Luna's theories all the time ... and Neville's such a sweetheart I don't think he'd mind ... it's not like he's combative and Luna while drastically truthful isn't mean ... starlightangel, I hold out the hope that Jo will change her mind about these two ... I don't see why they couldn't be together ... they're so cute and so many people saw this ship and I don't know the whole story so I can't say but I don't see how it could impact the overall storyline anyways unless she means to kill one of them or ship Draco/Luna.
So ... I think Luna and Neville want to be together ... the characters I mean but I think Jo's just ... not seeing it. LOL Not that I can blame her ... she's not exactly a shipper herself. | |

I don't know. Would their romance be significant enough to the plot for Jo to change her mind now? I'd LOVE to go to her house, have tea and tell her the joys of MAKING ME HAPPY! This ship ... it's become my OTP! I mean, sure R/Hr is fantastic and that ship has my soul, but N/L will draw me to a fic in a nanosecond. I love it beyond all others because it gives me those butterfly-y, fluttery, mushy, warm, happy feelings that is just LOVE! Your fave ship is meant to make you feel that way.
In HBP after the battle in the MoM, Luna helps Neville into his chair (coz the poor dear's all hurty). That bit has me AWWWWWing all the time. *Sigh* Jo is just a big tease. Showing us tiny snippets of N/L and only Ron's ankles... A pic. I hope you can see it. It's really cute. A Livejournal Neville/Luna community The background is a disasterous colour but it's chockfull of N/L lovin.
