Year 1
Resistance and acceptance: At first, he totally ignored her. He had met Harry Potter and befriended, he thought he didn't need a girl around him.
But his chivalrous heart went to her help when she was in trouble and after several adventures at the end of the year she was a friend.
Year 2
Acceptance and Protection: He accepted Hermione as a friend and did not question that, ever. He started to protect her and reacted immediately before Harry (see mudblood). He's concerned about her well being: "So Hermione is OK!"
And also he is aware of Lockhart. "Hermione why you have outlined all Lockhart's lessons in little hearts?"
Year 3
Protection and Manifestation:
'You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you don't want to be told?' and He wasn't afraid of protecting her againts Snape.

He is oblivious. "fraternising with the enemy" He is jelaous of her just because she went to the ball with someone else and he hated someone else, even though he was his idol, just because he went to the ball with Hermione.

I moved here like a month after HBP came out.... so i was eager to talk about ti, so i met this girl who told me she was a HP fan, so i ask her
"Wow, so, you've read all the books?"
and shes like
"No, i just saw all the movies, and i got them at home..."
So i got angry and all.... I mean, some peeps don't know anything and they think they know all they you have to know to be an HP fan... you gotta start off at reading atleast more then one book and like it... thats what i think... i mean, if you enjoyed the movies, great, but give the book a chance, cuz with no book, the R/Hr is really small buisness..... and i like them two BIG!!

Edit don't worry emmawatsonxfan.... we all think different things... and thats k.... i mean, the H/Hr shippers can think and say what they want, and i won't care... even though i don't get how they can think that H/Hr will get together... but I'm not upset, just confused sometimes.... R/Hr. The best couple of all time!!! Gah, I seriously need to reread the 6th book. It's been a year and a half since I last read it...*sniffle* but I know remember the Lavendar scene...haha, that was INSANE yet so awesome!!!
