Yeah, R/Hr already went through their denial phase I think HBP was more about the "Oops, maybe I shouldn't have said that and gone with Hermione to the Slug Club" and "Gee maybe I should have realized Ron was upset about not being invited to the Slug Club and not because I didn't invite him" bit. LOL I still blame Hermione more, if she's so smart why did she over react? | no... Emma has read the books... she sadi she was in the middle of book three when she started shooting movie one... and that she and dan read book six but Rupert was to busy with driving lessons....

If Emma had read the books, then her Hermione is a bit...um...different. Besides, given the directors imput too, you can't change it too much. Somehow, she's managed it. They definately have made the Hermione the 'hot girl' and it's such a shame. | |

Am I the only person who thinks that movie Hermione is good enough?
 Emma is the one in the trio who sticks to RHr romance from the beginning. skip the part she looks overlypowered -it's just the scenerio, that sometimes annoys me too- but if we talk about Rhr, she's doing her part quite well. Thankfully Rupert's not that indifferent anymore, how much you like him, would you like to see someone acting Ron who doesn't believe Rhr romance in the slighest? And I have big expectations for the upcoming HBP scenes, Emma is going to be amazing especially when she is so willing and enthusiastic. That's all I care about.  | |

Book Hermione is not a bully. That's my point. I love Emma fine if I ignore the books ... until I saw that clip for Ootp so it's all R&Hr's fault I hate Emma now. Seriously ... getting all witchy with Ron because he's going to take it easy on her? When in the books did Hermione beat Ron up?
Canon? Yeah, no.
No boy's going to like a girl who beats them up. It should work the same way for girls with boys and I'll stop there because this forum isn't about abusive relationships which is what H/Hr people have always said R/Hr was like and I have to agree if I go by that clip alone. Emma's going to beat the snot out of Ron ... "Go to bed" in GoF didn't endear me to her either ... as neither did the crying on the steps. Sorry ... I don't see Hermione crying in front of the boys ... probably because it isn't canon, she's always leaving a bathroom when she's cried. FACT. PS & HBP.
Read the books or not Emma plays Hermione like she's Buffy the vampire slayer minus the geek aspect. That's how I see it. She could just as easily have played up Hermione's intelligence but that would be too smart ... girls have to kick  to be taken seriously ...  I'm sorry but she's Hermione not a Powerpuff girl and that's how I see it. Emma changed the character A LOT. She's the one farthest from canon in my opinion. Rupert is second farthest because he's played to comic effect but seeing as he didn't write the script I don't see how that's his fault. He wasn't giving his lines to Hermione and he didn't ask to get his butt kicked by Ems in the next movie.
R/Hr has been downplayed by the filmmakers not the actors ... it's there from the start but when you put Super Emma next to Dan and they seem to be the only ones who exist its not surprising film fans ship H/Hr ... I don't see how that's Rupert's fault ... *shrugs*
I love Emma fine ... I'd love to see her in other films but she's not playing Hermione in the movies ... she's playing the fourth Powerpuff girl and she's said as much in countless interviews. | |

I completely agree with Ottery, i like the romance in the books, but when it's put in the movies with Emma it jsut doesn't work. It's all wrong. She's suddenly this hot non geeky thing and it doesn't work at all. | |

Nope. I like movie Hermione just as much as book Hermione. They make her alot more strong willed in the films though, but it's cool because Emma's does it well.
Rupert supports the ship. Yay! Lol  He knows there's something obviously there between the two. That reminds me that I really want to see more awkward hand touching moments and "I love you, that's why I'm really concerned with you" scenes in the upcoming movies. R/Hr is and always will be love.  | |
