It's a place you can upload graphics and have them turned into cross stitch patterns. Since there are very few free HP patterns out there, it's a nice resoruce.

Viva Buymoria! Love you Twin!

Fire Mountain Gems has some good resources: Free Beading Patterns, tutorials, & Jewelry Making Instructions
I also buy some products there, they often have some good deals! I get most of my bead/wire stuff at a store in the city near me though, called Bedrock Supply. They don't have an online store yet.

The Bead Style Magazine site has some How-To stuff and free projects to try: BeadStyle Magazine - How To

If you google your craft interest, or even check YouTube, you'll find LOADS of stuff to browse through for inspiration and tips.

SS Featured Writer Lovely Lady

Besides the Dark Mark Illusion Scarf which Kris provides a link to in her first post above (which is an awesome pattern I encourage all of you to make!), I have found another knitted illusion skull pattern of a similar nature, yet different! -

Skull Illusion Scarf

This one looks to be great, as well! It is shown on the site in pink and white. Frankly, I plan to make both of these very soon!

Also, I know lots of people here on SS are interested in the Joker from Batman, I just found the most awesome pumpkin carving pattern, and here's the link. There are other fun, awesome tips and patterns for pumpkin carving here as well, it basically walks you through step by step and tells you exactly what to do as well as providing lots of amazing, full size templates (the Joker being one of them!) - Pumpkin Templates

Viva Buymoria! Love you Twin!

I know we have a lot of Twilight fans here on SS. I was looking at hat patterns and found this today. I'm totally making one. At LEAST one!!

JennyHats - Tacky and Crafty: Bella Swan La Push Crochet Hat Pattern from Twilight Movie (2008)

It's like the hat Bella Swan wore in the movie Twilight. Jenny of JennyHats.com - Fashionable Knit and Crochet Accessories was searching for it online, wondering if anyone had made a pattern yet, and no one had, so she did! Here it is, for those not wanting to go visit her blog (though you should!):

Quote:

Materials:

* 1 skein Caron Simply Soft in grey (or whatever color you prefer, but Bella's is grey)
* 5.5mm crochet hook
* 1 large-eyed needle (for weaving in ends)

Some pre-pattern info:
I imagine you can use most worsted-weights single-stranded and accomplish the same feat; however, most of us know that Caron is not your typical worsted weight, so I double-stranded the whole thing. It's not a bad result at all. Just play around with the yarn until you're able to get the proper size to fit over your head

To make it look more like Bella's hat, you would use a thinner yarn and more rows in between the BPdc's, adding more length as you go. I kind of like the chunkier look.

As always, please let me know if you find any errors in my pattern

Special Stitches:
FPtr:
Yarn over twice, insert hook around the post (from the front side of your work) of the stitch indicated; yo and draw up a lp (4 lps on hk); yo and draw through two lps (3 lps on hk); yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hk); yo and draw through two lps (1 lp on hk)
BPdc: Yarn over, insert hook from the back side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row; yo and pull up a loop (3 lps on hk); yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hk); yo and draw through two lps (1 lp on hk)

Pattern:
Ch 3, join

* R1: Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), 11dc's into loop, join. (12dc)
* R2: Ch3, dc in top of ch3 (inc made), 2FPtr, [2dc in next st, 2FPtr] 3x
* R3: Ch3, dc in top of ch3 (inc made), dc in next st, 2FPtr, [2dc in next st, dc, 2FPtr] 3x

* R8: Ch3, dc in top of ch3 (inc made), dc in next 8 sts, 2dc in next st, 2FPtr, [2dc in next st, 8dc, 2dc in next st, 2FPtr] 3x
