| thanks for the flowers Rox, welcome back,
okay here's the next one, it came as an inspiration from our RP (which is kinda weird that an RP inspried a poem....oh well)
Hogwart's Express Clackity-clack, the trains on track, it’s bringing the Hogwart’s students back.
Made of steel and wood, and powered by steam, the Hogwarts Express is the train,
That brings students to Hogwarts, first years through the seventh and carries them back
home again.
It begins it's great journey from dawn until dark full of first years with anticipation,
you receive your instructions, proceed down to London, platform nine and three
quarters, King's Cross Station. Clackity-clack, the trains on track, it’s bringing the Hogwart’s students back.
Upon your arrival, you notice no platform, exists between those nine and ten,
but, when guided by wizards, you notice the portal, and when no one is looking you
then.
Pass through the stone wall and exit beyond, to find truth to what others have said,
the most beautiful site that you've laid eyes upon, full of steam, painted black and red. Clackity-clack, the trains on track, it’s bringing the Hogwart’s students back.
You find yourself joining the other first years and those students who've been here before,
you find empty seats til the cabins are full and the engineer shouts, "all aboard."
With a belch and a jolt, lots of smoke in the air, sweet London starts fading away,
up to speed with a clatter, you settle in tight, for a journey that takes a whole day. Clackity-clack, the trains on track, it’s bringing the Hogwart’s students back.
Later on you feel hungry and ready to eat, there's a trolley full of wonderful things,
like licorice wands and chocolate frogs and Bernie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.
As the day moves to night, and you change to your robes you'll see faces both young and
old,
there's been teachers and prefects, who've walked down those halls, and
dementors, one year, I was told. Clackity-clack, the trains on track, it’s bringing the Hogwart’s students back.
You arrive into Hogsmeade at the station in town, as the train slows down to a stop,
you are greeted by Hagrid, see breathtaking mountains, your in awe of the castle
on top.
So many before you and many behind, take the journey to Hogwarts and back,
and you'll never forget how you got there, 'board the steamer of red and black. The train's on…track…hear…..claaackity-claaack, it's…bringing…the…students……of……Hogwarts………..baaaa aaaaaaaaack….sssssssssssssssssssssssssss….
let me know.....thanks |

Minister Brennan Cooper Minister's Office | I'VE GOT IT! I've got a request.
Do you think you could write one for/ about Remus? I always think of him as the Last Marauder Standing, and I think that would be really sad. *cries* I hope JK can find him some shred of happiness in the next two books, because she's sure burdening him now. |

| thanks bro....okay some background, for those who are following our latest RP By the Light of the Moon, you would know that Professor Lupin starts out reading an eulogy of Sirius at his funeral, I had written the last two lines for the RP but it inspired me to go back and write the first part so here it is.......
The Noble House of Black,
written and given by Remus Lupin
We’re gathered here today to mourn, the loss of one we shared,
To show how much we loved our friend, to show how much we cared.
Sirius lived his life on edge, he loved to take a dare,
His friends were close, they watched his back, they knew he would be there.
Raised in a life of emptiness, his family dark and old,
Reminded of their evilness, the stories he was told.
That destiny for him was sad and that of servitude,
To the evil side of humankind and all it would include.
But early on he chose a path that weaker men would flee,
To separate himself from them and spend eternity.
In search of truth and those of good, who dared to share his quest,
To help the world, not just himself, to rid it of the rest.
In youthful days he found close friends at Hogwarts, a group of four,
Non closer had the school held host, not since, and not before.
The lengths they took to spend the days together on the grounds,
Forced them to learn to transform their shapes, to join in leaps and bounds.
For one of them, tis I you see, no choice for what I became,
Sweet Sirius did this for me, for him twas just a game.
They joined me on my howling days to comfort me in town,
The Shrieking Shack, the place where we would hide and not be found.
James, Peter and dear Sirius, are the reasons that I live,
And that is why no one but I, this eulogy, can give.
Although he spent so long away in Azkaban, that cell,
Couldn’t keep him from the truth he’d known, his escape and time would tell.
Betrayed by wormtail he and us, a rat, true to his part,
Took James and Lily, but not the boy, left scars upon his heart.
His godson’s care was the only way, to nurse his guilty soul,
To raise him as his parents would, his one and only goal.
But life is not so black and white nor guilt so simply eased,
Trapped from the world, a wanted man, he quickly would be seized.
While others fought the evil force their teachings and their ways,
It ate his very soul to be caged from the boy he couldn’t raise.
So when his chance to take control, the chance to make amends,
Came to him, little did he know his choice would mean the end.
A trick again, just like before, but this time doom prevailed,
For while locked in mortal battle, Padfoot fell through the tattered veil.
He’s left this world behind us now, to battle other foes,
Will we see him, til we’re there ourselves, there are none here that knows.
We hold his image, growl and bark, for ever in our souls he’ll be,
To those who’ve called him friend, like me, his heart is in our memory.
Named for a star, he’ll always be, in twilight sky for all to see,
The final member of the tree, the Noble House of Black was thee.

Minister Brennan Cooper Minister's Office | Excellent, Eric... that was really beautiful. I think everyone is focusing on Harry and his grief, but I wonder how many of us will remember that Remus was friends with Sirius first and foremost, that he probably still has residual guilt for beliving Sirius was a DE all those years in jail, and that he has lost the last of his closest friends... and that he couldn't save him.
Remus makes me sad... |

| Thank you angel......and here you go....
I have decided that in response to a request by one of you *coughcasscough* that I do something on Lupin, I didn't think it appropriate to just write a poem so I did a sort of FF/poem....it will post as parts....so let me know what you think, that way I'll know to keep going or not Lupin A life that’s spent so peacefully, with such a tragic past,
Has come to grips with destiny and lived to be the last.
Remaining member of the four who once were all for one,
They shared your secret, pains, and dreams, again you’re all alone. The early morning light was visible warming the sky behind the castle. A new day was beginning for the man who was seated beneath a willow tree next to the lake. The soil and the surroundings were still damp from the overnight rain. He was being sung to by the moisture dripping off the lone branch that hung out over the lake. The echo of it’s rythem was soothing. Somewhere above him an owl announced another successful hunt as he stirred. His thoughts were of the events of the last few days, in fact they were filled with flashbacks of his life. A life that, until recently, he had taken for granted.
So much was changed by what happened that night, not just for Harry, or the Order, but for him. The man’s name is Remus Lupin and this is the story about a man, and friendship, a belief and a life.
Lupin’s life began as simple as most. Born to a muggle mother and a wizard father, he learned quite early in life that each day should be appreciated, almost cuddled, like holding an egg shell. Any number of forces could cause that shell to crack and the life reflected by it, to be scarred permanently.
It was in his eighth year that these forces were to crack Lupin’s life forever. Like most eight year olds, Remus new of what world he was from. There was no hiding the fact that his surroundings were magical. His parents used magic for the more complex chores of maintaining the home. The simpler chores were his tasks. His father felt that since his mother and cousins on her side of the family didn’t grow up with magic (although his mother was quite the accomplished witch now) that he should learn to appreciate how the “other world” lived.
He swept floors, weeded the gardens, painted the fences and porch that surrounded the house. He was quite good with his hands and loved spending time with his pets. His favorite chore was the care and upbringing of his dog Jasper. Jasper was a muggle dog, a gift from his mother’s brother who felt that Remus needed to understand the responsibilities that go with raising and caring for another living creature. The dearest friend to Remus was his Jasper, come and see,
How the two would play and share their lives as friends and family.
Each learing from the other, growing old together they,
Would battle in the park and with the others they would play.
As most boys of his age do, Remus spent the majority of his time playing, both with Jasper, as well as with the other children in their little town. A hillside village, draped in the mist of the nearby mountains, Remus’s town provided many opportunities for eight year old boys to explore and discover. It was on a particular autumn day that Remus and his friends were to run into fate, a fate that, for one of them, would change his very existence.
Remus and the others had set up battle in the nearby park. Half the kids fighting for evil, the other, Remus’s side, would protect the world from them. Spells were being cast left and right, children shouting out what they had cast, “I hit you with Stupify, no you didn’t, did too,did not,” and so on. It was hard to tell who was winning or losing with all the dramatic over-acted deaths taking place, “you can’t get up yet, you have to count to ten.” He laughs now at that thought, why couldn’t it be that easy. The forces of good had turned the tide once again but as Remus’s side was advancing, a motion caught his eye from the nearby woods.
Jasper must have sensed his owner’s concern because he instinctively moved in front of Remus for protection. It was nearing evening and except for an occassional spell being announced, and the result being contested, there weren’t and sounds. The rising full moon was fighting the sunset for dominance of the sky causing the colors to mix in protest. Remus sensed he was being watched,a feeling he had before, when near the woods. As he neared the edge of the trees, Jasper growled to announce his presence. Its was answered by a noise that sounded like that of an animal. But not of any kind of animal that Remus was familiar with.
“Who’s there?”asked Remus, “you can come out, I won’t hurt you.” But there was no answer. Jasper advanced to the inner layer of the trees and a fleeting motioned caught his eye, he gave chase. “Jasper, no…wait up,” and the pursuit was on. Jasper, on all fours, was able to keep several steps ahead of the agile eight year old until he suddenly heard Jasper skid to a stop.
Remus didn’t have the avantage of two extra feet and couldn’t stop before slamming into the backside of his hound. After collecting himself and making sure that neither of them were hurt, Remus stood up. It was only then that he realized that Jasper wasn’t the only four legged creature in the small clearing.
to be continued....... |

That fateful night, you by my side, we battled destiny,
You fought with valor, and with pride, you gave your life for me.
I can’t repay the debt I owe for what you did out there,
I lived for reasons I’ll never know, still wishing you were here.
