Default ::Need any help with Danish?::

OK need any help translating some from English to Danish...?

Is there something you wanna say in Danish but dont know how? Or just wanna know how you say certain things, then this is the place!

Some basic stuff:

My name is... --> Mit navn er...

Im 1-year old --> Jeg er 1 år gammel

I love you --> Jeg elsker dig

I love... --> Jeg elsker...

How are you? --> Hvordan går det?

I need help --> Jeg har brug for hjælp

I think that... --> Jeg syntes at...

OK this is just a taste of Danish I thought Id give you some words just to get you started if you wanna learn how to speak, just a little but, Danish...

Compared to the English alphabet the Danish alphabet has 3 more letter:
Æ - æ
Ø - ø
Å - å

This will probably be quite difficult for English people to pronounce but just thought Id let you know

So got any question, something you wanna know how to say in Dansih or anything at all? Im here and Ill do my best to help you

One more question... this will probably be hard to explain in writing, but what is the pronunciation of æ, ø, and å? If it's impossible to explain, don't bother.

Um, I guess Æ would be like... eeeh... Just a little bit harder. Ø would be like, if you know a little bit French, the "eu" pronounciation in "bleu". Å would be like the first part in Oh-oh, just a little harder, too... I dunno if it's understandable... lol.

Well yeah its kinda hard to explain especially because you dont know the sounds and wouldnt know them if you said them LOL...

Erhm - the first "sound" in that word could, and only could, sound like an "æ"...

Oh - would almost be like an "å" ...lol

Sorry kinda hard to explain...*wishes there were soundfiles here*

Ok man kan godt sige "Man tager hvad man haver" på dansk, det vil kunne forståes, men prøv istedet: "man tager hvad man kan få"...
