Welcome!!! Hmm...I like your idea on Sirius.
LadyNRd73 (sorry but I don't know your name), I agree with you. I don't honestly see why they say he should be in Slytherin. Oh and the guys like Sirius that you can't help but fall in love with is so true! I have some friends who are like Sirius. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jillian McGuffin Second Year | I don't think he should've been in Slytherin too! I mean...let's take Hermione for example, she's so smart she should have been in Ravenclaw but she's in Gryff....I think that goes the same for Sirius....his heart was in the right place! |

PS: Heather, I <3 your avvy! As to Tina's question, there'll always be people who won't like one character or the other. And I think they should look more closely at Sirius' evolution. They'd be wrong in calling him cocky still. Sirius well said that most people are 'idiots' at the age of 15, and I'm more than convinced that he has shown he has fully grown out of that stage. |
I wouldn't necessarily agree that Sirius has grown out of his impulsiveness...That's how he ended up at the Ministrry and into the veil, wasn't it? |

With Sirius's attitude, pranks and this so called cocky personality....well, that is what I love most about him. But I don't see where people think that he should have been in Slytherin. His heart showed more love than his family had in one little finger. But I have to say that I like Regulus too, to a certain point. There is just something about the whole bad boy image that just rocks!!
| Yesh, the bad boy image is quite appealing, indeed. And with Sirius it's even better cause we have a heart of gold camouflaged in a bad boy attitude. Quote: |

| Yes, I agree with that. I was ref. to the 'idiot' aspect. Sirius remained a very rash decision-maker and impulsive to the bone till his end, but still not an idiot by that criteria. He just followed his heart more than his mind, maybe, or perhaps they were both bent towards the same purpose.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jillian McGuffin Second Year | I really hope JK would not let Sirius be dead...I think he's a really important character right now that Dumbledore's dead....not that he was any less important when Dumbledore was alive...but you get the point! |

| Yeah, I agree with Zyra. But maybe Jo wanted to... erm... remove... the people who are important for Harry and could help him with the final battle with Voldemort. Sirius, Dumbledore... honestly, was there a person who imagined Harry's world without both Sirius and Dumbledore? It seemed impossible, but that's what Jo did. I hope she won't kill anybody that important in Book 7. At least not a character I like!
Of course, I'd really like Sirius to come back - or at least, I wanna find out what happened to him, for heaven's sake! He didn't die in a normal way, it wasn't a killing curse or something, it was just that weird veil... I was hoping to know something after HBP, but well - there was nothing about that. But there MUST be in Book 7. If Sirius won't be back as an alive person, he may come back in some other way... maybe it'll be something with those magic, little mirrors? I don't know...
As for Sirius being in Slytherin.... Quote: |

| Yesh, that's exactly how Jk explained Sirius' death - and I think Dumbledore's, as well. She said she wanted -and it was about time- that Harry went on his journey on his own, discover his true potential and all that. Quote: |

I'm sure Jk will let us know what really happened to Sirius. It's one of the burning questions in the Hp fandom. That veil only gets more confusing by the minute, it seems... |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Caleum Myers Graduated Ministry RPG Name:
Madison Myers Magical Transportation | I am not sure if this is true and I hope that someone can let me know.....But I have heard that after JK is finished with the books she is THINKING about writing other books just about the characters themselves to explain how they were the way they were and what happened to get them to that point. If this is true then maybe then she would explain a little more about Sirius and the veil.....but if it is not true...I believe Paul is right on this one....she left it up to the reader to believe what they want to believe and nothing more....JK is good at letting the reader use their imagination at will. |

| Exactly, she needed to remove those closest to Harry so he could move on and do what he has to do. Both Sirius and DD would and did everything they could so that Harry would not have to fight alone. Unfortunately, this is one battle he has to face himself and now he has the ability to face it thanks to his caring Godfather and Headmaster. The only way to keep them out of it (cus you know Sirius would never stand back and watch) would be to remove them. But she chose such a questionable death - especially for Sirius - that as a 'hopeful holdout' I want to find out that the veil can be something Padfoot can return from. Such a a tragic life, a tragic end... And besides I need to see a body before I give up hope Quote:

| I knoooooww! She MUST answer this one! Whatever it is, I hope that even if Sirius doesn't come back, he gets peace there. Can anyone imagine someone who deserves that more? |

| Hello to all the newcomers...For those who don't know me, I'm Tina!
^^^I have to agree with Paul! I mean, you know how everyone even today still wonders about why Shakespere wrote a character like he did or why he came up with this ending and not that....or why he really didn't give us all the details about his reasons in his writing... ?
Well, I've always thought that JKR would be the same. She will leave so many things uncovered and I think ((As much as it'll drive me insane)) it will be for the better...

| I heard that too! I would like for her to do that but I don't really think she will. I read an article that she might do it eventually but no right after the 7 book.

I guess I'm just melodramatic...

Hmm....not a bad idea Paul. I agree with you though. He was barely in GoF and then he falls through the veil in OoTP which is really unfair. I think he should have been in a little bit longer but I guess JK has it all planned for a certain reason. |

As much as I think Jk likes to allow mystery and all that in her writing, I am also of the opinion that she won't let really challenging questions such as Sirius' fate truly unanswered till the end [or perhaps in the after-book, if she will write that]. |
